2 Kings 5:15
And he returned to the man of God, he and all his aides, and came and stood before him; and he said, “Indeed, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, except in Israel; now therefore, please take a gift from your servant.”
Luke 17:12-19
[12] Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.
[13] And they lifted up their voices and said, “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!”
[14] So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.
[15] And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God,
[16] and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.
[17] So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?
[18] Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”
[19] And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

Another lesson to learn from Naaman is the fact that he returned to express his gratitude after being healed. 2 Kings 5:15 says "And he returned to the man of God, he and all his company, and came, and stood before him: and he said, Behold, now I know that there is no God in all the earth, but in Israel: now therefore, I pray thee, take a blessing of thy servant." He was not like the nine lepers in Luke 17:18 that got healing from Jesus and chose to walk away without acknowledging the miracle worker.
It is often so surprising when you see believers going from one programme or the other just to secure God's favour during their moments of needs. They can show a lot of piety and humility when they 'need' God but once they get what brought them to God, you won't see them again until another need arises. They were never ashamed when they were asking God for a blessing but once they get it, they are always shy when it comes to testifying of His goodness. Some even go as far as making vows when they are in distress but once they get what they are looking for, they forget all about the vows. Some others will receive counselling, prayer and breakthrough in a church but go to another to give testimony and thanksgiving offering. That is not the attitude of champions in this kingdom.
Naaman went back to Prophet Elisha to show gratitude and share his testimony. He didn't hide what God did for him. He did not ignore the man of God and just go about his business as if nothing had happened. He was not ashamed to tell the world about the goodness of God to him. He also went with gifts for the man of God. Although Elisha did not collect them, it was credited to Naaman's account by the God that sees all hearts and intents. Naaman seemed to understand a kingdom principle which many of us modern Christians do not seem to understand. This may be the reason why some people are only healed but are not made whole. Beloved, ingratitude is a big menace, and we need to shun it in our lives.Shalom!
