Acts 12:20-24
[20] Now Herod had been very angry with the people of Tyre and Sidon; but they came to him with one accord, and having made Blastus the king’s personal aide their friend, they asked for peace, because their country was supplied with food by the king’s country.
[21] So on a set day Herod, arrayed in royal apparel, sat on his throne and gave an oration to them.
[22] And the people kept shouting, “The voice of a god and not of a man!”
[23] Then immediately an angel of the Lord struck him, because he did not give glory to God. And he was eaten by worms and died.
[24] But the word of God grew and multiplied.

In the Bible, there are several notable examples of individuals who usurped God's glory. either by accepting praise that belonged to God or by attempting to rival His authority. Our devotionals in the next few days will be dedicated to the consideration of some of these Bible characters.

1. Any power assigned to confuse my life, die, in the name of Jesus.
2. Any power assigned to push me off track, you are a liar, die, in the name of Jesus.
3. O Lord, let my life glorify Your name, in the name of Jesus.

4. Any power stationed to derail me, fail woefully, in the name of Jesus.
5. My life shall not bring shame to God, in the name of Jesus.
6. Glory of God, overshadow my life, in the name of Jesus.
7. I shall disappoint any power waiting for me to annoy God, in the name of Jesus.
