MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 24th July, 2026.

Stinginess is the unwillingness to give or share what one has with others. It stems from a mindset of scarcity and fear of lack. On this day, let us reflect on the dangers of stinginess and the importance of cultivating a generous heart. I recall the story of Mr. Ade, a businessman in Lagos who was known for his stingy nature. Despite his wealth, Mr. Ade refused to help those in need, including his own family members. He believed that giving would deplete his resources and that he needed to hold on tightly to what he had. Over time, Mr. Ade's relationships suffered, and he became isolated. His business also faced challenges, as potential partners were reluctant to work with someone who was known for his lack of generosity. Mr. Ade's story is a stark reminder of how stinginess can negatively impact our lives and relationships.

On the other hand, there is the story of Mama Grace, a widow from a small village in Kenya. Despite her limited resources, Mama Grace was known for her generous spirit. She often shared her food with her neighbours and provided support to struggling families in her community. Mama Grace believed that God would provide for her needs as she helped others. Her generosity did not go unnoticed; the community rallied around her during difficult times, and she always had enough to meet her needs. Mama Grace's story highlights the blessings that come from a generous heart.

God's word teaches us about the dangers of stinginess and the blessings of generosity. Proverbs 11:24-25 says, "One person gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty. A generous person will prosper; whoever refreshes others will be refreshed." This verse emphasises that generosity leads to prosperity, while stinginess leads to lack. 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 reminds us, "Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver." Generosity should come from the heart, and it brings joy to both the giver and the receiver. Luke 6:38 encourages us, "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." This verse reminds us that our generosity will be rewarded abundantly by God.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 23rd July, 2026.

Being unequally yoked means forming close relationships, partnerships, or marriages with those who do not share your faith or values. This can lead to conflicts and distractions from your spiritual journey. On this day, let us reflect on the importance of choosing our companions wisely.

I recall the story of Kemi, a young woman from Lagos who fell in love with a man who did not share her Christian faith. Despite warnings from her family and friends, Kemi believed she could change him and bring him to Christ. However, as their relationship progressed, Kemi found herself compromising her values and drifting away from her faith. The man influenced her to skip church services, engage in behaviours she knew were wrong, and neglect her relationship with God. Eventually, Kemi realised that being unequally yoked was hindering her spiritual growth and she made the difficult decision to end the relationship. Her story serves as a powerful reminder of the importance of aligning our relationships with our faith.

Similarly, there is the story of Paul, a businessman from Ghana who entered into a business partnership with someone who did not share his ethical values. Initially, the partnership seemed promising, but Paul soon discovered that his partner was involved in dishonest practices. Paul faced immense pressure to participate in these unethical activities, which conflicted with his Christian principles. After much prayer and counsel, Paul chose to dissolve the partnership, trusting God to provide for his business. This decision not only preserved Paul's integrity but also strengthened his faith.

God's word provides clear guidance on this issue. 2 Corinthians 6:14 says, "Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?" This verse emphasises the importance of forming relationships that align with our faith and values.

Amos 3:3 asks, "Can two walk together unless they are agreed?" Unity in faith and values is essential for harmonious relationships. 1 Corinthians 15:33 also warns, "Do not be misled: 'Bad company corrupts good character." Surrounding ourselves with people who share our faith and values helps us grow spiritually and remain steadfast in our walk with God.

Beloved, as a believer in your place of work, you must adopt a servant-hearted attitude, whether you are the boss or not. Because you are an ambassador of Christ in that organisation, you must lead like Christ, who taught His followers servant leadership. He said to His disciples in Matthew 20: 28, "The Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve." This attitude can transform your work, and through that, you can influence those working with you both as superiors and subordinates positively. Lead or serve with humility, putting the needs of others ahead of your own. Offer help when others are overwhelmed and celebrate the success of your team members or colleagues. The workplace is often filled with stress, competition and conflict; therefore, as a child of God, you must strive for peace and reconciliation where there is division. Be the peacemaker who diffuses tension and seeks unity over division. Matthew 5:9 says, "Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God."

Be careful not to display bigoted behaviour. You don't need to be overly religious to represent Christ. Sometimes, the most effective witness is a consistent life that reflects God's love, joy, and peace in practical ways. And when the opportunity arises, be ready to share the gospel with others (1 Peter 3:15). Also, ensure that you pray for your organisation and colleagues. Be intentional about working for the progress of the place by committing it to God in prayers. You may be surprised how God will use that simple act to bless, not only the company but you as well. Representing Christ in your workplace, business environment and community is not about perfection or performance; it is about allowing His presence to shine through you. You may be the only Bible some people ever read, so let your life speak clearly of God's love.

It is often said that believers are the Bible that many unbelievers read. Your character and attitude portray who you are your personality. Every true believer understands that Christianity is not a religion but a way of life that strives towards perfection in godliness. It is a lifestyle that seeks to please God in everything. Therefore, Christianity for any serious Christian does not end in the church. It goes beyond the walls of the church and into every area of our lives, including our workplaces.

Whether you are in the office, classroom, hospital, construction site, or even working remotely, your role as a representative of Christ does not stop when you resume duty. You are expected to work with excellence and integrity. Colossians 3:23 says, "And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as unto the Lord, and not unto men." One of the most powerful ways to represent Christ is through the quality and character of your work. Show up on time. Do your tasks diligently. Be honest, even when no one is watching. When you work with excellence and integrity, you not only honour God but also earn the trust and respect of both your superiors and colleagues.

As a follower of Christ, you must be diligent in your place of work; you cannot afford to be lazy or nonchalant in the discharge of your duties. Let the authorities count on your readiness and determination to see the place make progress. Do not be among those who talk down on the boss and discourage others from working hard. Don't join the gossips, complainers, murmurers or harsh critics. You can be the light as a child of God. According to Ephesians 4:29, speak encouragement. Offer gentle correction when needed. Always relate to others with love and grace.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 20th July, 2026.

The Bible contains records of those who kept their gaze on God from the start to the finish line. They all ended well and finished strongly. Paul, in spite of his past, kept his gaze on the Master who had called him (Acts 26:19). This is a good example of a strong finishing. From our Fire Scripture, we see that he was confident that he had completed his divine assignment. He was not disobedient; he stayed on course and ran to the finish line without being distracted. He fulfilled his call and left a godly legacy to upcoming Christians.

As soon as a runner loses focus, he misses the mark and he will finish poorly like Uzziah. Samson lost focus and he ended up dying with his enemies. His destiny was short-lived as a result of carelessness and disobedience to divine instructions. He killed more men at his death than in his lifetime but his assignment was unfinished. The same can be said about King Saul, the first King of Israel. He started well with God but ended badly by seeking help from the witch of Endor. Eli was a priest, but his generation lost the priesthood because he failed God in his duty as a father. All those who forgot God or pushed Him to the back seat of their lives never finished well.

One great lesson we all should learn from this is that a lifetime of good and wise living can be marred by a moment of carelessness and foolishness. So, be careful! The Bible warns us in 1 Corinthians 10:13 that he who thinks he stands, should beware, lest he fall. It simply means you should never assume you are beyond divine control. Watch and pray. Keep following divine prompting and you will never fail or fall. You will definitely finish well and finish strong, in the name of Jesus.

[16] But when he was strong his heart was lifted up, to his destruction, for he transgressed against the Lord his God by entering the temple of the Lord to burn incense on the altar of incense.
[17] So Azariah the priest went in after him, and with him were eighty priests of the Lord, valiant men.
[18] And they withstood King Uzziah, and said to him, “It is not for you, Uzziah, to burn incense to the Lord, but for the priests, the sons of Aaron, who are consecrated to burn incense. Get out of the sanctuary, for you have trespassed! You shall have no honor from the Lord God.”
[19] Then Uzziah became furious; and he had a censer in his hand to burn incense. And while he was angry with the priests, leprosy broke out on his forehead, before the priests in the house of the Lord, beside the incense altar.
[20] And Azariah the chief priest and all the priests looked at him, and there, on his forehead, he was leprous; so they thrust him out of that place. Indeed he also hurried to get out, because the Lord had struck him.
[21] King Uzziah was a leper until the day of his death. He dwelt in an isolated house, because he was a leper; for he was cut off from the house of the Lord. Then Jotham his son was over the king’s house, judging the people of the land.

Unfortunately, some people finish poorly as a result of ignorance, carelessness, self-exaltation, pride, or over-confidence, especially when the individual forgets God and the undeniable fact that He alone gives you the power to become who you are or what you desire to become. The Bible says that without Him, we can do nothing (John 15:4-5). Trusting in your own intellect and potential is nothing but foolishness. If God did not give you life in the first place, you would have absolutely no power to exist, nor to achieve anything in life. Anyone who pushes God aside is ignoring the Source of life and all successful achievements.

This was the great error that King Uzziah made in today's Fire Scripture. He started well in life. The Bible says he "sought the Lord." Consequently, he succeeded with great and outstanding accomplishments, but he suddenly forgot God. His heart was lifted and he forgot that without God, he couldn't have done or achieved so much. His pride marked the beginning of his downfall. The height of it was when he attempted to burn incense on the altar, which was the work of the priest. He became a leper as a result of this act. He became an object of disgrace and humiliation in the same land where he had prospered earlier on. This is a great lesson for anyone who dares to disobey the Almighty.

No one should ever see himself or herself as self-sufficient. The day anyone chooses not to acknowledge God as their major Source of life, their downfall becomes imminent. Therefore, I beseech you, endeavour to put God first in all you do according to Matthew 6:33. God is the Master Planner who never fails. He shows the way and leads us by Himself (Psalm 32:8). He makes our plans to come into fruitful execution when we commit it all into His hands. Even the soldier should not trust in the size of his armour or strength of his horse. It is God who gives victory.

[1] Now about that time Herod the king stretched out his hand to harass some from the church.
[2] Then he killed James the brother of John with the sword.
[3] And because he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded further to seize Peter also. Now it was during the Days of Unleavened Bread.
[4] So when he had arrested him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four squads of soldiers to keep him, intending to bring him before the people after Passover.
[5] Peter was therefore kept in prison, but constant prayer was offered to God for him by the church.
[6] And when Herod was about to bring him out, that night Peter was sleeping, bound with two chains between two soldiers; and the guards before the door were keeping the prison.
[7] Now behold, an angel of the Lord stood by him, and a light shone in the prison; and he struck Peter on the side and raised him up, saying, “Arise quickly!” And his chains fell off his hands.
[8] Then the angel said to him, “Gird yourself and tie on your sandals”; and so he did. And he said to him, “Put on your garment and follow me.”
[9] So he went out and followed him, and did not know that what was done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.
[10] When they were past the first and the second guard posts, they came to the iron gate that leads to the city, which opened to them of its own accord; and they went out and went down one street, and immediately the angel departed from him.
[11] And when Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I know for certain that the Lord has sent His angel, and has delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all the expectation of the Jewish people.”

MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday, 18th July, 2026.

Prayer is one of the special gifts of God to humanity. The subject-matter of prayer is very wide, deep, and highly dynamic. Prayer is deep, yet it has been simplified by the Holy Spirit. Prayer is highly dynamic because it changes situations for the best. For those who genuinely want to experience the demonstration of God's power and fulfilment of destiny, they must begin to critically examine their prayer pattern and methods, and make amends where necessary.

Unfortunately, a lot of people are trapped in the web of prayerlessness. Another heart disturbing irony about prayer is that we are now in a generation where many believers talk about prayer, read about prayer, learn about prayer, even write books about prayer but just a little fraction have a vibrant, result-oriented prayer altar. Beloved, I hope you do not belong to that prayerless generation. If you are, I decree fresh fire upon your prayer altar, in the name of Jesus.

There are different kinds of prayers such as Thanksgiving, Intercessory, Supplication, Adoration, Asking, Seeking, Knocking, Travailing, Revelational, Prophetic, Desperate, Chain Prayer, Prayer watch, Agreement Prayer, etc, just to mention a few. Our focus is on agreement prayer.

Jesus Christ exposed us to the inherent power in agreement prayer when He said, "If two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father..." (Matthew 18:29). The first century church, according to our Fire Scripture, leveraged on that when they went into violent agreement prayer to secure the release of Apostle Peter from the imminent death orchestrated by the tyrant King Herod. The Lord answered speedily and delivered Peter from the evil expectation of the Jewish people.

However, for agreement prayer to be effective and rewarding, the instruction in 1 Timothy 2:8, "I will therefore that men pray every where, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting", must be followed. There must also be love, unity, oneness of mind and true fellowship among believers.

[16] Then he said, “Come with me, and see my zeal for the Lord.” So they had him ride in his chariot.
[17] And when he came to Samaria, he killed all who remained to Ahab in Samaria, till he had destroyed them, according to the word of the Lord which He spoke to Elijah.
[18] Then Jehu gathered all the people together, and said to them, “Ahab served Baal a little, Jehu will serve him much.
[19] Now therefore, call to me all the prophets of Baal, all his servants, and all his priests. Let no one be missing, for I have a great sacrifice for Baal. Whoever is missing shall not live.” But Jehu acted deceptively, with the intent of destroying the worshipers of Baal.
[20] And Jehu said, “Proclaim a solemn assembly for Baal.” So they proclaimed it.
[21] Then Jehu sent throughout all Israel; and all the worshipers of Baal came, so that there was not a man left who did not come. So they came into the temple of Baal, and the temple of Baal was full from one end to the other.
[22] And he said to the one in charge of the wardrobe, “Bring out vestments for all the worshipers of Baal.” So he brought out vestments for them.
[23] Then Jehu and Jehonadab the son of Rechab went into the temple of Baal, and said to the worshipers of Baal, “Search and see that no servants of the Lord are here with you, but only the worshipers of Baal.”
[24] So they went in to offer sacrifices and burnt offerings. Now Jehu had appointed for himself eighty men on the outside, and had said, “If any of the men whom I have brought into your hands escapes, whoever lets him escape, it shall be his life for the life of the other.”
[25] Now it happened, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, that Jehu said to the guard and to the captains, “Go in and kill them; let no one come out!” And they killed them with the edge of the sword; then the guards and the officers threw them out, and went into the inner room of the temple of Baal.
[26] And they brought the sacred pillars out of the temple of Baal and burned them.
[27] Then they broke down the sacred pillar of Baal, and tore down the temple of Baal and made it a refuse dump to this day.
[28] Thus Jehu destroyed Baal from Israel.
[29] However Jehu did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who had made Israel sin, that is, from the golden calves that were at Bethel and Dan.
[30] And the Lord said to Jehu, “Because you have done well in doing what is right in My sight, and have done to the house of Ahab all that was in My heart, your sons shall sit on the throne of Israel to the fourth generation.”
[31] But Jehu took no heed to walk in the law of the Lord God of Israel with all his heart; for he did not depart from the sins of Jeroboam, who had made Israel sin.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 17th July, 2026.

There are several lessons to learn from Jehu's life. He started well but finished badly. The exact cause was not that he got carried away by his initial success, a common cause of failure in people. Rather, it was a case of half-hearted obedience to divine instructions. He obeyed God's command to wipe out the family of Ahab and Jezebel for the evils they had committed in the land. He destroyed the altars of Baal and killed all their priests, yet, he disobeyed on one ground. He worshipped the golden calves of Jeroboam. Could Jehu have thought that the worship of Baal alone was to be eradicated and not the worship of the other idols? It was a wilful sin, a deliberate decision to bow to the calves, rather than the Lord God Almighty. It was a reflection of the condition of his heart. God detests disobedience and half-hearted obedience equals no obedience at all.

The Bible says no one can serve two masters; you will love one and hate the other (Matthew 6:24). You cannot serve God and mammon, nor God and Baal. Jehu tried to serve God and idols. Possibly, he was living in self-justification that made him to lose focus. He got it all wrong. There was no moment of devotion to God. He lived for himself and thought he could yet serve God maximally.

Where have you compromised your position as a Christian? Do you serve God with your whole heart or half-heartedly like Jehu? You need to establish a relationship with Him through your devotion, before rendering your service to Him. Be devoted to God in worship, praises and fervent prayers. Draw near to God through His word. Joshua declared, "As for me and my household, we shall serve the Lord" (Joshua 24:15). This is a choice, a determination and a confession. You must be ready to do the same. Be on the Lord's side, fully committed and dedicated with total obedience all the way. May the Lord help our weaknesses, in Jesus' name.

[5] And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.
[6] When he saw Jesus from afar, he ran and worshiped Him.
[7] And he cried out with a loud voice and said, “What have I to do with You, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? I implore You by God that You do not torment me.”
[8] For He said to him, “Come out of the man, unclean spirit!”
[9] Then He asked him, “What is your name?” And he answered, saying, “My name is Legion; for we are many.”
[10] Also he begged Him earnestly that He would not send them out of the country.
[11] Now a large herd of swine was feeding there near the mountains.
[12] So all the demons begged Him, saying, “Send us to the swine, that we may enter them.”
[13] And at once Jesus gave them permission. Then the unclean spirits went out and entered the swine (there were about two thousand); and the herd ran violently down the steep place into the sea, and drowned in the sea.
[14] So those who fed the swine fled, and they told it in the city and in the country. And they went out to see what it was that had happened.
[15] Then they came to Jesus, and saw the one who had been demon-possessed and had the legion, sitting and clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 16th July, 2026.

Exorcism is the term for casting out demons. Beloved, sicknesses can be sponsored by demons; not every sickness is ordinary. There are problems that medicine cannot handle because they are spiritual.

Many times, what people call mental illnesses are manifestations of demonic possession or demonic attacks. These evil spirits sponsor anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, or outrightly afflict their victims with madness. The channel of healing that God has provided for this kind of sickness is exorcism. The demons in charge of the situation need to be cast out before such a person can be healed.

In our Fire Scripture, the mad man of Gadara was severely oppressed and tormented by a legion of demons, the same way many people today are severely oppressed. Thank God Jesus passed by and visited that man with healing. The same Jesus who set this man free is still available today to set you free from every oppression of darkness.

Beloved, if you know anyone who has a strange mental illness or whose sickness defies medical diagnosis, know for sure that it is a spiritual matter and a spiritual solution must be urgently sought.

No exorcism can be complete without the name of Jesus. Before you try to exorcise any demon, you have to be a child of God. Else, the fate of the seven sons of Sceva awaits you (Acts 19:14-16). Demons recognise the authority of Jesus; anyone who comes without that authority would be severely dealt with.

Only a child of God can cast out demons. Mark 16:17 assures believers that they can cast out demons in the name of Jesus. The other thing to note is that once the demon of sickness has been cast out, the individual must live a holy life in Christ so that the evil spirits would have no more place. May demons of sickness have no more place in your life, in Jesus' name.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 15th July, 2026.

For some days now, we have been discussing the channels of healing. Today, we examine the use of the anointing oil. The anointing oil is used for different purposes. In ancient Israel, kings were anointed with oil to signify divine recognition. In contemporary times, ordained ministers are anointed with oil to empower them for service in the house of God. However, beyond ordination, the anointing oil is also a channel of healing.

Anointing with oil is a channel of healing that is backed by scripture. In our memory verse, we read of the disciples of Jesus who were sent out by Him. They carried out healing miracles through the use of the anointing oil. Our Fire Scripture also instructs anyone who is sick to call for the elders of the church. They are to pray for such a person, anointing him or her with oil.

Beloved, herein lies one mystery of the annual anointing service held in the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries. The oil is an agent of healing and deliverance. Don't let anybody deceive you that the use of anointing oil is unscriptural. It is highly recommended by scriptures.

Anointing with oil is a powerful practice, especially when the oil has been prayed on. You do not need to empty an entire bottle of oil on a person's head; a little oil applied with your fingers or sprayed is sufficient for healing to take place. It is important to add at this point that you should know the source of the anointing oil that you use. Do not allow yourself to be deceived by false prophets who take advantage of the desperation of other people. It is recommended that you buy your own bottle of anointing oil and pray on it or have it prayed on by a pastor. In fact, I recommend you go for olive oil, not any other oil. The reason is that most other oils can be susceptible to demonic manipulation. As you use the anointing oil in the scripturally prescribed way, may your healing manifest, in Jesus' name.
