[35] Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
[36] As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.
[37] Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
[38] For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come,

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 9th October, 2025.
Today, we want to look at one of the common tools in the hand of the devil that makes the people of God to run away from Christianity. It is simply called persecution. It means torture, torment, and so on. In the Fire Scripture, Apostle Paul also asked a question, "Who shall separate us from the love of Christ?" The major aim of the devil is to use this tool and persecution to separate us from the love Christ has for us, to make us believe that Christ does not even love us, to show us a negative alternative to the love of Christ through deceit, counterfeit gifts and etc. He comes in to deceive us when there are challenges confronting us which God knows about and probably wants to use to develop us, to train us and to test us.
I don't know what challenges are confronting you now. I don't know what trials and troubles you are passing through now from your family members. I don't know what your heart desire is that your own people who are supposed to be your helpers are denying you of today because you are a child of God. Beloved, we have seen people who passed through worse situations than yours but they finally came out of it and were divinely elevated beyond the imaginations of their persecutors.
The Bible says that the testing of our faith produce endurance. It also enjoins us to let endurance have its perfect result, so that we may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing (James 1:3-4).
Persecution is profitable both to individual Christians and the Church. It makes the Church to flourish. In Acts 8, we read about Saul persecuting the believers and many of them were scattered abroad and they went everywhere preaching God's word. Our reaction to persecution should be endurance and faith. As Christians, there is reward for anything we suffer for Christ's sake. Besides, God is with us believers in every situation.
Begin to see God in your situation and have faith in Him. Soon, you shall come out of it and God shall be glorified in your life and situation. God bless you.
