MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 13th August, 2026.

Today, we discuss Abraham, the father of faith. This patriarch is described as the friend of God, the one who believed God even when it didn't make human sense.

First, God instructed Abraham to leave his father's house to a place He would show him, Abraham obeyed and left. Not only did he leave, he looked forward to the city God had promised without looking back. He looked for a city whose builder and maker is God (Hebrews 11:10). Like Abraham, God also calls us today to leave our worldly treasures and follow Him to the heavenly city. Philippians 3:20 tells us that our citizenship is in heaven. It's a choice to follow God in faith like Abraham did, or hold on to what seems certain but will eventually be destroyed.

God promised Abraham a son; He assured him that he would be the father of many nations. According to Romans 4:18-21, Abraham did not stagger at the promise of God through unbelief; he believed God despite the obvious biological disadvantages. Beloved, this is a great lesson for us, to trust God despite medical or physical evidence to the contrary. You might have received damaging medical reports or terrible news but faith tells you to believe the report of the Lord which supersedes every other report.

Abraham received Isaac by faith but God asked him to sacrifice Isaac. He obeyed again. Abraham's obedience through faith was counted to him for righteousness (Romans 4:22). If we also believe wholly in Christ Jesus, we will be partakers of His righteousness.

As believers in Jesus Christ, our faith in God will also make demands of us today. There are times that we would be required to give up precious things to test the level of our trust in God. How we respond determines whether or not we get the rewards of righteousness.

Beloved, the truth is that God will not make demands to harm His children. Every instruction God gives is to help His children come to a place of total submission to Him. May your faith not fail where it matters most, in Jesus' name.

[1] Manasseh was twelve years old when he became king, and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem.

[3] For he rebuilt the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down; he raised up altars for the Baals, and made wooden images; and he worshiped all the host of heaven and served them. 
[4] He also built altars in the house of the Lord, of which the Lord had said, “In Jerusalem shall My name be forever.”

[9] So Manasseh seduced Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to do more evil than the nations whom the Lord had destroyed before the children of Israel. 
[10] And the Lord spoke to Manasseh and his people, but they would not listen. 
[11] Therefore the Lord brought upon them the captains of the army of the king of Assyria, who took Manasseh with hooks, bound him with bronze fetters, and carried him off to Babylon. 
[12] Now when he was in affliction, he implored the Lord his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, 
[13] and prayed to Him; and He received his entreaty, heard his supplication, and brought him back to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the Lord was God. 
[14] After this he built a wall outside the City of David on the west side of Gihon, in the valley, as far as the entrance of the Fish Gate; and it enclosed Ophel, and he raised it to a very great height. Then he put military captains in all the fortified cities of Judah. 
[15] He took away the foreign gods and the idol from the house of the Lord, and all the altars that he had built in the mount of the house of the Lord and in Jerusalem; and he cast them out of the city. 
[16] He also repaired the altar of the Lord, sacrificed peace offerings and thank offerings on it, and commanded Judah to serve the Lord God of Israel.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 12th August, 2026.

God can touch the most hardened individuals to bring about unimaginable transformation. Many instances in scriptures attest to this fact. One of such is the story of king Manasseh, Hezekiah's son, who reigned in Judah. He perpetrated so much evil and refused to walk in the ways of his father who brought great reform to the land. Verses two to eight of our Fire Scripture record the evil deeds of Manasseh.

He refused to yield to several warnings until God raised the Assyrians to take him into captivity. It took the sufferings in captivity to bring Manasseh to a total surrender. Then, Manasseh humbly sought the Lord and cried to God in prayer. God heard his prayers and his supplications. Manasseh received mercy from the Lord in spite of his idolatry and wickedness. As terrible as his sins were, his hardened heart was softened. Manasseh became a new man. He undid all the evils he had done (vv. 15-16).

I don't know what sins you have committed. They could be more terrible than Manasseh's but God is able to forgive and restore you as He did for Manasseh. Anyone who comes to Jesus in genuine repentance can find forgiveness of sins, and receive grace and power for a fresh start from the Lord. If God could forgive Manasseh, He will forgive you. Is there anyone you need to intercede for? Please pray, so that such hardened hearts will receive the transformative touch of God.

Manasseh was anti-God, but when he realized his folly, he found his way back to God in humility and repentance and God forgave him. He became a restorer and a reformer. God did the same for Saul of Tarsus. This former persecutor of the brethren became one of the greatest apostles who did exploits for God. God can do the same in your life. You shall be divinely translated from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of light of His dear Son, Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:13). You will become a new creature (2 Corinthians 5:17).

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 11th August, 2026.

In continuation of our discourse, Jesus instructed that you shine your light before men so that they will be able to see your good works, and God will be glorified. Unfortunately, this light can be prevented from shining.

The very first thing that can prevent this light from shining is sin. God hates sin and detests every act of unrighteousness. Sin separates us from God. As a child of God, you must flee every appearance of evil if you want your light to shine. Sin dims the light. Sinful habits and practices like anger, pride, malice, unforgiveness, hatred, bitterness, revenge, lust, evil imaginations, careless utterances, and so on, would prevent your light from shining. These are traits of the accuser of the brethren, satan himself. Consequently, anyone who has the attributes of satan cannot shine the light of God. It is therefore of great importance that you do away with sin and every act of unrighteousness.

Your light has only one channel to shine through - your good works. Are your works good or bad? As a Christian, you are expected to be involved in kingdom activities such as soul winning, evangelism and discipleship. Are you hospitable in any way? Will you readily be a Dorcas who cared for the widows? What impact are you making on people around you, in your home, your neighbourhood, your workplace, marketplace, the church and the larger society? How positively have you influenced lives that, with or without words, it can be said that you are a true child of God?

This is a call to re-examine your life and see if you're still in the faith. You can cry to God for help, so that the light of God in you doesn't die off. You need to get back to the place of confession and repentance before God, so that He will forgive your sins and restore your joy of salvation. Then, your light will be lighted by the Light of God and you will make a difference as a child of God living in this world of sin and iniquity.

God called forth light at the beginning of creation. Its appearance made a formidable difference compared to the darkness that had pervaded the earth. Jesus is the Light of the world. This Light shines in the dark, and darkness cannot comprehend it because it is a mystery. Children of God are called to shine His light, not to conform to the world.

Physically, children are expected to resemble their parents in one way or another. When there is no resemblance, such children are referred to as bastards. They are considered not to be true children of their fathers. As it is in the physical, so it is in the spiritual. Light begets light. Simply put, if you are a child of God, then, you are a light begotten from the Light, and you are called to shine. However, if you are not shining or your light is dim, then, there is a cause for alarm. Something serious has happened or is happening and should be instantly addressed. There are many reasons that could be responsible for a light that's not shining. These should be thoroughly addressed before the light is totally extinguished.

I implore you therefore, beloved of God, to see to it that your light shines wherever you go and in whatever you do. As a result, your heavenly Father is glorified. Otherwise, it is an indication that you are not different from the world. It means there is a compromise, that you are romancing and having fellowship with darkness, either directly or indirectly. The Bible warns us strongly to come out of such associations and be separated unto God. You should influence the people of the world positively so that they too can come out of darkness and enter into the kingdom of light. You are to win them over, not the reverse. May darkness not overshadow your light, in the name of Jesus.

The Bible says a lot about the mind and its impact on the life of a man. The mind is like a laboratory where human thoughts are manufactured, hence the need for it to be safeguarded against every pollution. It is written that as a man thinks in his heart, so he is (Proverbs 23:7). This confirms that a man is a product of his thoughts.

In the book of Genesis, the serpent tempted man by distorting the mind of Eve through a suggestive statement. The devil understands the vulnerability of the human mind. Once a man's mind is captured, he begins to live contrary to divine instructions. However, the mind of man gets regenerated when he experiences the new birth. That's why the devil works frantically to ensure that the mind remains in bondage.

Negative imaginations, which invariably transform into actions, are birthed in the mind. Our words and actions are products of our minds. All the works of the flesh are rooted in a polluted heart. The Bible makes it clear that a man is defiled by that which comes from within (Mark 7:21). You must take all ungodly thoughts captive under the authority of God. If not, they form a negative stronghold in the mind.

In order to be aligned with the will of God, it is necessary to divinely renew your mind through God's word and prayer. The entrance of God's word brings light; it illuminates a sick heart. When you read the word and meditate on it, your mind is renewed. You develop a new thought pattern of positive, constructive and innovative ideas. You are healthy from inside out. When you pray mind cleansing prayers using the blood of Jesus, all evil deposits are flushed out of the mind. Satanic strongholds are pulled down and demolished through violent and fervent prayers. Thereafter, you can pray for the mind of God (Philippians 2:5), which makes you to become more like Jesus every day in word and in deed.

Do you have a gift or special talent? You need to discover why God gave it to you and use it to fulfil His purpose. It is in doing this that it will make room for you at the top and bring you before men of stature and substance. Bezaleel the son of Uri and Aholiab the son of Ahimasach used their gifts to accomplish the work of God and got their names inscribed honourably in the Bible

Through dream and dream interpretation God helped Joseph to fulfil his colourful destiny. Doing this was not without several years of tests, trials and travails. His brothers conspired against him and sold him into slavery. Potiphar's wife lied against him and he was imprisoned. What bailed him out and orchestrated the fulfilment of his destiny was his gift of dream interpretation. The same gift made Daniel, a captive in Babylon, to enjoy regular promotion, relevance and favour regime after regime. Joseph's and Daniel's gifts made room for them and brought them before great men. Yours should too.

Beloved, God has given you that gift or talent to make your light so shine that men may see your good works and glorify Him who gave it to you. Whether you have one or ten, still thank God and use the talent for His glory. The way to achieve this is to use your God-given gift or talent to solve problems in the lives of individuals, families, communities and societies as well as the church. By so doing, you will win souls for God. Though Joseph and Daniel were in foreign lands and among unbelievers, the exploits they did with God's gifts in their lives made heathen kings to acknowledge that both of them served a living God, the Most High. The right use of divine gifts and talents is the secret of the fulfilment of Joseph's dream. It is also the secret of Daniel's rising profile and prominence regime after regime, in the land of Babylon. I challenge you to discover your gift or talent today. Ask God what specific purpose and area He would like you to invest it, and ensure you obey Him. You will have great reward and outstanding testimony.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 7th August, 2026.

Jesus Christ in his human nature is the express image of the invisible God, and whosoever has seen Jesus has seen God. Jesus is the Lord of all and He is our all in all. He made all things by His power and for His pleasure and He upholds all things by His power. The name of Jesus is above every name (Philippians 2:9-11). There is no other name under heaven by which man can be saved except the name of Jesus (Acts 4:12). Whosoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). Everyone who believes in Him receives forgiveness of sins (Acts 10:43). As many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name (John 1:12). The Bible also says whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:13).

To the saints, Jesus is the all in all. To the one who is doubting, he is the Amen, the Faithful (Trustworthy) and True Witness (Revelation 3:14). To the weak, insulted and persecuted, He is their Power and Strength (2 Corinthians 12:89-10). To the one who is experiencing conflict, He is the Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6). To the one who is nursing unforgiveness, he is Forgiver who has forgiven (Luke 5:24; Colossians 3:13; Ephesians 4:32). To the one who is in great need, He is the ever ready Helper (Psalm 30:10; Psalm 54:4. To those who are experiencing a dark night in their soul, he is the Light in the darkness and the Bright and Morning Star (John 12:46, Revelation 22:16). To the lonely, he is the Friend Who loves at all times (John 15:14, Proverbs 17:17) and to the souls in despair, He is their Hope and their Help (Psalm 42:5, Psalm 71:5). To the one suffering from a wounded soul, He is the healing Balm of Gilead (Jeremiah 8:22). To him who is in dire strait, He is the I am that I am and everything you will ever need (Exodus 3:14, John 8:58). Indeed, Jesus is our all in all!

Beloved, in all situations and at all times, I urge you to make Jesus Christ your sufficiency. Truly, he is more than enough in all things and at all times for those who trust in Him. Have faith in Christ.

[16] You shall make a window for the ark, and you shall finish it to a cubit from above; and set the door of the ark in its side. You shall make it with lower, second, and third decks.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 6th August, 2026.

The next hero that is mentioned is Noah. Noah earned a place in this hall of faith by building an ark in obedience to God's command.

Noah lived in a time of wickedness but the Bible records that he "found grace in the sight of the Lord" (Genesis 6:8). He walked with God even in the midst of the wickedness that surrounded him. The Lord instructed him to build an ark to save himself and his house from the coming flood even though it had never rained on the earth at that time.

There are lessons to learn from Noah. We, just like Noah, are surrounded by so much wickedness and violence. God wants us to walk with Him despite this. The world will not get better; its wickedness will only increase but this calls for us to shine brighter. Jesus instructs us in Matthew 5:16, "Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven." The world needs our light because it is covered in darkness. Like Noah, we can choose to walk with God and shine His light in this dark world.

Another lesson to learn from Noah is that he was willing to obey even when he couldn't understand completely. God was telling him about a flood which had never occurred. Noah believed God and even warned others about the coming judgement. As believers, our own ark is the kingdom of God. We ought to warn unbelievers around us of the coming divine judgement on the world and sinners. God expects us to bring as many souls as possible with us into the ark of His kingdom.

Beloved, you are encouraged to follow Noah's example of faith. Walk with the Lord even in these end times, knowing that the Lord will surely reward all who diligently walk with Him. God bless you, in Jesus' mighty name.

The next hero in our series is Enoch. Not a lot is said about him in the Bible but the little information we have is sufficient to draw the conclusion that he was a righteous man. Enoch is the seventh generation from Adam, son of Jared and father of Methuselah who lived the longest on earth.

Genesis 5:24 states, "And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him." Here is the basis of Enoch's faith, he walked with God. Even though men had begun to call on the Lord in the days of Enos (Genesis 4:26), there must have still been a lot of wickedness on the earth. This man chose to walk with God despite the evils around him.

One striking thing about Enoch is that he lived for three hundred and sixty five years. Each year for a day in a non leap year. This implies that we need to walk with God every single day of the year, including the leap year.

The other obvious lesson we learn from Enoch is that he was a man of faith. The book of Jude records that he prophesied about the coming judgement of God upon the wicked (Jude 14-15). This gives us a glimpse into Enoch's life; he was a prophet who warned the people of the world at that time of the coming judgement of God. A man who wasn't close to God could not have known, let alone prophesied of the judgement of God.

The world we live in today is just as wicked as the world Enoch lived in, if not more wicked. We show our example of faith just like Enoch, by walking with God. Walking with God means doing His will according to His word. We should not be conformed to worldly practices but we should be transformed in our way of life through the word of God.

Beloved, we should walk with God just like Enoch did so that when Jesus comes, we'll be taken with Him.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 4th August, 2026.

Today, we begin a series on the heroes of faith as found in the book of Hebrews 11. A hero is someone that others look up to, someone whose actions are worthy of emulation. We will be looking at these people whose faith we ought to emulate as Christians.

The first spot in Hebrews 11 is occupied by Abel. Abel is known as the first martyr in the Bible. Genesis 4:4-10 outlines his example of faith. He offered an acceptable sacrifice to God and he was accepted in the sight of God.

First, let us look at the nature of the sacrifice. Abel offered a blood sacrifice while Cain offered a fruit sacrifice. When Adam and Eve sinned and realised they were naked, God clothed them with animal skin before sending them out of the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:21). From this, it is assumed that God killed an animal to use its skin, so blood was shed. Right from the fall, blood became a weapon of atonement until the blood of Jesus was shed as the ultimate sacrifice. Abel offered this blood. Probably this was why his sacrifice was accepted.

However, beyond offering the firstling of his flock, God saw Abel's heart. The Bible says that God had respect unto Abel and to his offering - Abel first, then, his offering.

What do we learn from Abel's faith? Every offering to God, be it financial offerings, your time, your service, your life, and so on, must be perfect. Let us not offer to God as though He were a beggar; let us offer in full understanding that He owns all our resources and we are privileged to be made custodians.

Beloved, the Bible says that a man's gift will make room for him (Proverbs 18:16). Every offering we bring to God with a righteous heart is an act of faith. This, coupled with our faith in Jesus, makes room for us in the sight of God.
