[1] On the third day there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee, and the mother of Jesus was there.

[2] Now both Jesus and His disciples were invited to the wedding.

[3] And when they ran out of wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, “They have no wine.”

[4] Jesus said to her, “Woman, what does your concern have to do with Me? My hour has not yet come.”

[5] His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.”

[6] Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece.

[7] Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim.

[8] And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it.

[9] When the master of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and did not know where it came from (but the servants who had drawn the water knew), the master of the feast called the bridegroom.

[10] And he said to him, “Every man at the beginning sets out the good wine, and when the guests have well drunk, then the inferior. You have kept the good wine until now!”

[11] This beginning of signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and manifested His glory; and His disciples believed in Him.

There was a marriage feast in Cana of Galilee. Jesus, His mother and His disciples were in attendance. Then, the wine finished. Now, it is very possible to conclude that the groom had been irresponsible by not providing enough wine to go round. But again, so many things could have happened.

As an individual, you may be in a seemingly hopeless situation. You may be suffering the consequences of your poor choices; you may be suffering from the oppression of the wicked or you may just be in a dry season of your life where nothing seems to be working. What you need is new wine! The good news is Jesus has once been there and He absolutely understands what you're going through according to Hebrews 4:15. Your hopes may have been dashed; you may be on the verge of disgrace; it's possible that people are waiting for you to fail so they can mock you, and you don't know what to do. The answer is in Jesus. He is the One who turns water to wine; He is the One who can turn around your negative situation; He is the One who can turn your mockery to celebration. Turn to Him today with your worries and your dismay. He will not turn you down.

In addition, you need to surround yourself with the right people. Note that it was not the groom who came to Jesus, it was Mary. We do not know Mary's relationship with the groom but we at least know that she was concerned enough to ask Jesus for a miracle on his behalf. It was also a good thing that Jesus and His disciples had been invited. So, keep godly friends.

Beloved, I enjoin you to come to Jesus with your worries today. Let Him turn your water to wine in every area of your life. God bless you, in Jesus' name.

2 Kings 6:24-28

[24] And it happened after this that Ben-Hadad king of Syria gathered all his army, and went up and besieged Samaria.

[25] And there was a great famine in Samaria; and indeed they besieged it until a donkey’s head was sold for eighty shekels of silver, and one-fourth of a kab of dove droppings for five shekels of silver.

[26] Then, as the king of Israel was passing by on the wall, a woman cried out to him, saying, “Help, my lord, O king!”

[27] And he said, “If the Lord does not help you, where can I find help for you? From the threshing floor or from the winepress?”

[28] Then the king said to her, “What is troubling you?” And she answered, “This woman said to me, ‘Give your son, that we may eat him today, and we will eat my son tomorrow.’

2 Kings 7:1-10

[1] Then Elisha said, “Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord: ‘Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria.’ ”

[2] So an officer on whose hand the king leaned answered the man of God and said, “Look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could this thing be?” And he said, “In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it.”

[3] Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they said to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we die?

[4] If we say, ‘We will enter the city,’ the famine is in the city, and we shall die there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall live; and if they kill us, we shall only die.”

[5] And they rose at twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there.

[6] For the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of chariots and the noise of horses—the noise of a great army; so they said to one another, “Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!”

[7] Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp intact—their tents, their horses, and their donkeys—and they fled for their lives.

[8] And when these lepers came to the outskirts of the camp, they went into one tent and ate and drank, and carried from it silver and gold and clothing, and went and hid them; then they came back and entered another tent, and carried some from there also, and went and hid it.

[9] Then they said to one another, “We are not doing right. This day is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning light, some punishment will come upon us. Now therefore, come, let us go and tell the king’s household.”

[10] So they went and called to the gatekeepers of the city, and told them, saying, “We went to the Syrian camp, and surprisingly no one was there, not a human sound—only horses and donkeys tied, and the tents intact.”

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 29th March, 2026.

We started this topic yesterday and we saw how Elisha incapacitated and defeated the host of Syrian sent to arrest him. Today, we are taking a look at another aspect where God fought for Israel and their siege came to an end within twenty-four hours. As, we noted yesterday, a siege is a terrible thing. It is a struggle. It is an affliction and a stoppage introduced by the enemy to make someone to suffer and fret.

In our first Fire Scripture for Today, the king of Syria came against Israel and shut up the place. Nothing could go in or come out. The people started to eat their children. The siege was that bad. Parents were taking turns in surrendering their children to be eaten. A woman who was betrayed by her neighbour cried out to the king of Israel and the king tore his clothes (vs. 30). As he passed by upon the wall, and the people looked, and behold, he had sackcloth within upon his flesh. Beloved, when a siege comes, one will become helpless; helpers will run away; enemies will become acquaintance so that they can add to your problems. When the woman cried unto the king for help, even the king told her.". if the Lord do not help thee, whence shall I help thee? Out of the barn floor, or out of the winepress?

Dear reader of this devotional, when a siege comes you can only go back to God for help. Men will not be able to help you but to make jest of you, laugh at you and make mockery of the little that is left of your integrity. I pray that every agenda of mockers for you shall be scattered, in the name of Jesus.

In our second Fire Scripture, we see where the Lord of heaven made the host of the Syrians to hear a noise of chariots and a noise of horses, even the noise of a great host.. Therefore, they fled their camp and left everything there for the Israelites and that was how the siege ended. I decree that today your siege shall come to an end, by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.

[10] Then the king of Israel sent someone to the place of which the man of God had told him. Thus he warned him, and he was watchful there, not just once or twice.

[11] Therefore the heart of the king of Syria was greatly troubled by this thing; and he called his servants and said to them, “Will you not show me which of us is for the king of Israel?”

[12] And one of his servants said, “None, my lord, O king; but Elisha, the prophet who is in Israel, tells the king of Israel the words that you speak in your bedroom.”

[13] So he said, “Go and see where he is, that I may send and get him.” And it was told him, saying, “Surely he is in Dothan.”

[14] Therefore he sent horses and chariots and a great army there, and they came by night and surrounded the city.

[15] And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, “Alas, my master! What shall we do?”

[16] So he answered, “Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”

[17] And Elisha prayed, and said, “Lord, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.

[18] So when the Syrians came down to him, Elisha prayed to the Lord, and said, “Strike this people, I pray, with blindness.” And He struck them with blindness according to the word of Elisha.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday, 28th March, 2026.

Today we are reflecting on "The Siege Is Over." It is a very serious topic that I would want you to pay rapt attention to. It is a thing that makes the enemy to rejoice. However, when we talk of the siege is over, it is the story of encouragement, triumph, positive testimonies and celebrations.

Dearly beloved, hope, deliverance and victory are the end of a siege when God steps in. I shows God's presence, power and faithfulness. In the Fire Scriptures for today, Elisha was telling the king of Israel where the people of Syria had set up trap to catch him. And he told him to avoid those place. As a result of this, the king of Israel always escaped the Syrian traps and the King of Syria thought that he had a spy in his palace who was revealing his secrets. So, he sent a host to go and arrest Elisha. 2 Kings 6:13-14 says, "And he said, go and spy where he is, that I may send and fetch him. And it was told him, saying, behold, he is in Dothan. Therefore, sent he thither horses, and chariots, and a great host, and they came by night and compassed the city about" Dearly beloved, I pray for you today, every siege of darkness, every host of wickedness assigned against you shall be arrested and destroyed, in the name of Jesus.

Beloved, by the time the host of the king of Syria came, God had already sent His own host on horses and chariot of fire surrounding Elisha. Because of this thing that the Lord did, Elisha was able to arrest his arresters. May the siege surrounding you and your family be scattered, in the name of Jesus.

The siege of Elisha and his servant came to an end that very day; he ended up arresting his enemies and he took them to the palace of the king of Israel, who fed them and sent them back to where they came from. Since that day, the Syrians never troubled the children of Israel again because the siege ended forthwith.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 27th March, 2026.

We will be rounding off our discourse on Jael today. Perhaps the most important lesson to learn from this heroine is bravery. Bravery simply means courageous character. As is commonly said, courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. When we consider the story of Jael, a lot of things run through our minds. Had she ever killed? Was she afraid of killing Sisera? Did she consider that Sisera might wake up before she completed her mission and she'd be damned? Did she even fear for her own life? I'm pretty sure she must have considered these questions and more. However, she decided that executing the Lord's judgement on the enemy of His people was more important. What's more? God backed her up.

One interesting thing in this story is that Barak refused to go to the battlefront without Deborah, who was the female judge of Israel at the time. Deborah told him that the glory of Israel's victory would go to a woman who turned out to be Jael. Many times, the world makes women believe that they cannot do anything but this story proves otherwise. God can use women just as much as He can use men, as long as the glory goes to Him alone.

Jael took the hammer and tent peg and killed Sisera. God expects us to act despite our fears. A level of bravery is required in order to step into divine purpose and destiny fulfilment. If you do not put on the garment of bravery, you may never lay hold of God's promises for your life. Your bravery is anchored on the word of God and victory is assured. How do you overcome fear? The first thing is to give your life to Christ. Next, allow His Holy Spirit guide you at all times. The Holy Spirit helps the believer to manifest bravery according to the divine will. Henceforth, make up your mind not to be stopped by your fears but to be led by the Holy Spirit to do divine exploits. May the Lord clothe you with the garment of bravery, in Jesus' name.

[19] Then he said to her, “Please give me a little water to drink, for I am thirsty.” So she opened a jug of milk, gave him a drink, and covered him.

[20] And he said to her, “Stand at the door of the tent, and if any man comes and inquires of you, and says, ‘Is there any man here?’ you shall say, ‘No.’ ”

[21] Then Jael, Heber’s wife, took a tent peg and took a hammer in her hand, and went softly to him and drove the peg into his temple, and it went down into the ground; for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.

[22] And then, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said to him, “Come, I will show you the man whom you seek.” And when he went into her tent, there lay Sisera, dead with the peg in his temple.

The next lesson we would consider in the story of Jael is the importance of using the resources at your disposal. Women were usually not trained for battle in ancient Israel so Jael was not a trained warrior. Considering that the Kenites were a nomadic tribe, she was most likely skilled in the art of setting up and pulling down tents.

After she had invited Sisera into her tent, she served him milk instead of water. This made him fall into a deep sleep. She needed to act fast before he woke up but she didn't have any weapon of war, only her tent peg and hammer which she knew how to use very well. What did she do? She made us of them like that. Some other people could have sat there, wringing their hands and wishing they had the right weapon, but not Jael. She sprang into action before the opportunity slipped away. Ecclesiastes 11:4 says, "He that observeth the wind shall not sow; and he that regardeth the clouds shall not reap." In other words, the one who waits for all conditions to be perfect before starting anything will never get anything done.

Beloved, you have everything you need to get started. If you keep wishing for perfect conditions, you'll most likely never get anything done. There are many who have remained stagnant because they refused to do anything. The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries started the living room of an apartment but today, the Lord has expanded His church.

If Jael had decided to wait for a man to come to her aid or she had decided to go in search of more suitable weapons, Sisera would have woken up and escaped. Jael herself would not be celebrated as a heroine today. This is instructive. The Bible enjoins us not to despise the days of little beginnings; in other words, don't be afraid to start from where you are. Take a cue from Jael today and make use of the resources God has placed at your disposal.

May the Lord bless your efforts and reward you with outstanding success, in Jesus' name.

When Sisera, the enemy general, fled from battle, he thought he was running to safety. Jael, on the other hand, was rightly positioned to fulfil prophecy. Jael had a proper understanding of the saying: "Opportunity comes but once." She took hold of the opportunity God had placed in front of her. If Jael had not accosted Sisera the way she did, he probably would have escaped and Israel's victory would have been incomplete. She may not have known it herself but Jael was working in line with the will of God for that season. Thus, she was able to accomplish God's purpose and release His judgement.

As a believer in Christ, you have the gift of the Holy Spirit, the seal of the Father's promise. This places you at an advantage. The Holy Spirit guides you at all times as long as you yield to Him. This means that you can identify opportunities that come your way in every area of your life. More so, you can utilise these opportunities to the glory of God. Oftentimes, God answers the prayers of His children by opening doors of opportunities to them. God places His children in certain situations in order to manifest His glory through them. It becomes a tragedy if they are insensitive in the spirit or are unable to recognise the work of God in that season. Imagine if Jael had hidden away in her tent out of fear!

It behooves every believer to ask God for the miracle of open eyes and spiritual sensitivity. Nothing happens by chance or by a stroke of luck. Your life is either controlled by the Lord or by the devil; there's no middle ground. People who are not sensitive to the will of God per time will find themselves throwing away opportunities that come their way. A classic example that comes to mind is Gehazi. He lost the opportunity to inherit Elisha's anointing because he was blinded by his greed (2 Kings 5:20-27). May the Lord make you sensitive to every opportunity He brings your way and help you utilise it to His glory, in Jesus' name.

Judges 4:11 records that Heber, Jael's husband, had separated himself from the rest of the Kenites.

Most likely, Jael was not in the midst of her people. The Bible does not tell us whether Jael herself is a Kenite but we know that her husband is a Kenite, one of the descendants of Jethro, Moses' father-in-law. The Kenites had a close affinity with the children of Israel. Their relationship dated as far back as the days of Moses who married Zipporah, the daughter of Jethro. Moses persuaded Jethro to come with them and share in the goodness of God. They were originally settled in the land of Judah but Heber moved his family. Being tent dwellers, it meant they had to pack up and choose a new location to erect their tents. Jael probably was cut off from her people but she wasn't cut off from life. Being away from her people did not hinder her from getting the current information.

Jael knew that the Canaanites were oppressing Israel; she also knew that Israel was God's people.

Jael must have known about God's covenant with Israel and she chose to align. When the enemy of the Israelites escaped, Jael called out to him in order to execute God's judgement upon him.

Beloved, you might have been relocated from a familiar environment to a less familiar one. Perhaps, you got married and relocated, or you got a new job in a foreign country. You might be in a new location for whatever reason. God is present everywhere so He is with you. Also, being in another terrain should not hinder you from knowing and establishing God's will according to His word. Just like Jael, the people of God ought to be aware of current happenings and find out the will of God at every given point.

Christians ought to pray for the will of God to be established wherever they are because they are His ambassadors. We may not have to kill a physical enemy with a tent peg like Jael did, but we each have a role to play in the kingdom of God.

The next lesson we learn from Jael is industriousness. Jael and her people, the Kenites, were tent makers. They had no permanent dwelling; they used to move from place to place and set up tents wherever they settled. Jael was experienced in the art of setting up and pulling down tents. She was highly skilled in this. She was a hardworking woman. The Bible says that she offered Sisera milk. The fact that she could afford milk in her own tent is a testament that she must have been a hardworking woman.

Proverbs 31, while describing the virtuous woman, assigns to her the attributes of hard work and strength (vv. 25,27). Jael, as we see, possessed these attributes. This is a role that many Christians fail to perform. Christianity is not an excuse for laziness; it should never be used as a cloak for mediocrity. God expects His people to be up and doing, not slothful in business.

In the book of Ecclesiastes 9:10, scripture enjoins us to do whatever we have to do with our might. This means that, as Christians, there is no room for sloppiness in our day to day affairs. Our attitude towards work should be the right one. Christians should not be busybodies as Paul admonishes in the book of 2 Thessalonians 3:10-12; they should rather work hard so that the spirit of excellence of the Father can be made manifest in and through them.

Examine yourself today. Can you really describe yourself as hardworking? Or, do you just sit and wish for good things? Beloved, nothing good comes without a measure of hard work. As a matter of fact, the only place where success comes before work is the dictionary. The Lord Himself, the Creator of the universe, put in the work to bring the world into existence so what makes you think you don't have a role to play in your own success story?

Beloved, rise up today and take the right action where you need to. Then, call on the Lord to bless your efforts. Great success shall be yours, in Jesus' name.

Another lesson we learn from Jael is hospitality. In her culture at the time, hospitality was a must. Hosts were expected to take care of their guests and provide for their needs. Jael played the role of a good hostess by covering up her guest with a blanket and offering him milk.

Hospitality is the practice of being friendly and welcoming to guests and visitors. In this case, you receive and entertain them. The Bible enjoins us to be hospitable.

Jael offered Sisera milk and covered him with a blanket. She provided a high level of hospitality for Sisera by treating him like a king. She made him feel a sense of safety. You see, even though she had a goal of destroying the enemy, she did not neglect the basics.

As Christians, the hallmark of our faith and discipleship is love (John 13:35). Love manifests in several ways, including hospitality. How you treat people, whether known or unknown, should reflect your Christianity. Sometimes, your attitude preaches a louder message than your words. You cannot afford to treat people shabbily, no matter who they are. The Lord wants us to be hospitable, of course, with the use of divine discernment.

Just like in the case of Jael, hospitality can also be a weapon. Jael showed kindness to the enemy and got him so relaxed that he wasn't prepared for what was coming. The book of Proverbs 25:21-22 says, "If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, And the LORD shall reward thee." Paul quotes this same scripture in Romans 12:20. Showing love to an enemy is not a sign of weakness or surrender; it is rather a sign of strength and a proof of superior understanding. Your kindness to your enemies increases their punishment; you heap coals of fire on their heads and the Lord rewards you for it.

Beloved, make hospitality a regular practice henceforth. May the Lord baptise you with the spirit of hospitality, in Jesus' name.
