[1] Now Jacob lifted his eyes and looked, and there, Esau was coming, and with him were four hundred men. So he divided the children among Leah, Rachel, and the two maidservants.

[2] And he put the maidservants and their children in front, Leah and her children behind, and Rachel and Joseph last.

[3] Then he crossed over before them and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.

[4] But Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck and kissed him, and they wept.

[5] And he lifted his eyes and saw the women and children, and said, “Who are these with you?” So he said, “The children whom God has graciously given your servant.”

[6] Then the maidservants came near, they and their children, and bowed down.

[7] And Leah also came near with her children, and they bowed down. Afterward Joseph and Rachel came near, and they bowed down.

[8] Then Esau said, “What do you mean by all this company which I met?” And he said, “These are to find favor in the sight of my lord.”

[9] But Esau said, “I have enough, my brother; keep what you have for yourself.”

[10] And Jacob said, “No, please, if I have now found favor in your sight, then receive my present from my hand, inasmuch as I have seen your face as though I had seen the face of God, and you were pleased with me.

[11] Please, take my blessing that is brought to you, because God has dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough.” So he urged him, and he took it.

[12] Then Esau said, “Let us take our journey; let us go, and I will go before you.”

[13] But Jacob said to him, “My lord knows that the children are weak, and the flocks and herds which are nursing are with me. And if the men should drive them hard one day, all the flock will die.

[14] Please let my lord go on ahead before his servant. I will lead on slowly at a pace which the livestock that go before me, and the children, are able to endure, until I come to my lord in Seir.”

[15] And Esau said, “Now let me leave with you some of the people who are with me.” But he said, “What need is there? Let me find favor in the sight of my lord.”

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 14th June, 2026.
Today, we continue our discourse on repairing broken relationships. As long as we live and relate as humans, there would be differences between us. As a result, there could be misunderstandings and other kinds of hurt and pain. However, if Jesus has shown us the way, let us follow suit.

God caused Jacob to meet his brother Esau and be reconciled, after all he did to him. Only then could he fulfil the divine agenda for his life. He moved from Jacob to Israel after the divine encounter that changed his life forever.

Joseph was such a gentle soul, he didn’t at any time seek revenge for the dastardly and inhumane act of his brothers to him. Rather, he saw himself as God sent, to prepare for the deliverance of his people at that time. Can you do the same?

Read and meditate upon the Bible and learn from it. Let the Word of God minister life and love to you. Before going into God’s presence, check your heart, forgive and let go, so that your prayers would be answered. Work towards restoring peace and harmony; as a couple, as friends, in and outside your home, and you will enjoy peace of mind.

God’s love is shed abroad in your heart when you give room for relationship repairs. Anyone who constantly harbours unforgiveness as a result of broken relationships will bring upon himself so much pain and hurt, leaving no room to enjoy fellowship with the Holy Spirit.

Willingness to restore relationships is not weakness. Rather, it is an act that touches the mind of God. Reconciliation is empowered and sustained by the help of the Holy Spirit. It is made possible by divine courage.

The weak person will always look back and whine about the past, but the bold will take a step of faith, get the differences resolved and move on to better things.

Failure to forgive will incur more of God’s anger. Obey God. Do His will and enjoy your life. May the Lord help you, in Jesus’ Name.

[8] Therefore, though I might be very bold in Christ to command you what is fitting,

[9] yet for love’s sake I rather appeal to you—being such a one as Paul, the aged, and now also a prisoner of Jesus Christ—

[10] I appeal to you for my son Onesimus, whom I have begotten while in my chains,

[11] who once was unprofitable to you, but now is profitable to you and to me.

[12] I am sending him back. You therefore receive him, that is, my own heart,

[13] whom I wished to keep with me, that on your behalf he might minister to me in my chains for the gospel.

[14] But without your consent I wanted to do nothing, that your good deed might not be by compulsion, as it were, but voluntary.

[15] For perhaps he departed for a while for this purpose, that you might receive him forever,

[16] no longer as a slave but more than a slave—a beloved brother, especially to me but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.

[17] If then you count me as a partner, receive him as you would me.

[18] But if he has wronged you or owes anything, put that on my account.

[19] I, Paul, am writing with my own hand. I will repay—not to mention to you that you owe me even your own self besides.

[20] Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in the Lord.

[21] Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even more than I say.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday, 13th June, 2026.
Sequel to the last message on the power of reconciliation, we are called to follow the footsteps of Jesus and do likewise. He laid down His life for our sakes, that all who desire to be called children of God may receive forgiveness of sins and be reconciled to God. If Jesus did so much for us, why can't we emulate Him? There is great peace and joy in mending broken relationships, restoring love and harmony. It is a price to pay as Jesus did. It is a rewarding experience that never leaves you the same. You become better, enjoying stronger fellowship with God and a stronger bond of love with fellow men.

Beloved, relationships are meant to be nurtured. Whenever issues arise, you are to confront them, manage and resolve conflicts responsibly, especially when such occur between you and your loved ones, brethren in church, fellowship or even colleagues at work. How do we claim to be children of the same Father, yet remain at loggerheads? How do you feel when you lift up your hands before God, in praise and prayers, asking Him to forgive you as you forgive those that offend you, but you know you really have not forgiven? What a deception.

God cannot be mocked. Does God not see your heart? You say in your heart, "Over my dead body are we going to be friends again." Have you forgotten that no sinner or abominable thing will enter into heaven? Definitely, there is no place for such persons in heaven. Neither is there an opportunity to repent in hell. Why not think about it and do the needful now? This is a serious matter. You claim that the pain of the offence is so much, you cannot let go. But wait a minute, remember Christ. If Jesus were to weigh the load of our sins and the pain that we have caused God and are probably still causing Him, no one would be qualified to be called a Christian. If Jesus forgave and still forgives, you can and should do the same.

[11] Then He said: “A certain man had two sons.

[13] And not many days after, the younger son gathered all together, journeyed to a far country, and there wasted his possessions with prodigal living.

[14] But when he had spent all, there arose a severe famine in that land, and he began to be in want.

[15] Then he went and joined himself to a citizen of that country, and he sent him into his fields to feed swine.

[16] And he would gladly have filled his stomach with the pods that the swine ate, and no one gave him anything.

[17] “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger!

[18] I will arise and go to my father, and will say to him, “Father, I have sinned against heaven and before you,

[19] and I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Make me like one of your hired servants.” ’

[20] “And he arose and came to his father. But when he was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

[21] And the son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight, and am no longer worthy to be called your son.’

[22] “But the father said to his servants, ‘Bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his hand and sandals on his feet.

[23] And bring the fatted calf here and kill it, and let us eat and be merry;

[24] for this my son was dead and is alive again; he was lost and is found.’ And they began to be merry.

[25] “Now his older son was in the field. And as he came and drew near to the house, he heard music and dancing.

[26] So he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant.

[27] And he said to him, ‘Your brother has come, and because he has received him safe and sound, your father has killed the fatted calf.’

[28] “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him.

[29] So he answered and said to his father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends.

[30] But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’

[31] “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours.

[32] It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.’ ”

Reconciliation is the act of restoring friendly relations between groups that were previously in disagreement. God reconciled mankind to Himself through the atoning work of His Son, Jesus Christ, on the cross of Calvary. By this, every follower of Christ has received forgiveness and redemption from God. Through Jesus Christ, we, as Christians, have been translated by God from the kingdom of darkness into the kingdom of light of His Son, Jesus Christ (Colossians 1:13-14).

The death of Jesus and the shedding of His blood paved the way for us to become the sons and daughters of the Father, citizens of God's kingdom, and joint heirs with Christ. We are now seated at the right hand of God, far above principalities and powers (Ephesians 2:6). The realisation of this truth will inspire you to worship God.

The blood of Jesus is the currency of our forgiveness and redemption. It gave us the right to access the Father's throne of grace, to obtain mercy and grace in time of need. All you need to do is confess your sins and repent of them. The open bill of mercy is available. Jesus paid it all!

If you are reading this devotional and you are not yet born again, why wait any longer? You also can be a partaker of this divine privilege and love. We all sinned and fell short of God's glory. But Jesus found us and brought us back to the fold. His loving arms are forever open to welcome us back to the Father's bosom. Also, if you claim to be born again, but you are still wallowing in sin, you are backsliding gradually, or you've totally gone astray, heed the voice of the Lord today. He's calling the sinner and the lost back to the kingdom of God.

The golden opportunity is available to you today. Come back home. The Lord seeks for you. Do not allow the grace to slip away. Be reconciled to God through Jesus Christ. Above all, follow the footsteps of Jesus; forgive your fellow brother or sister and be reconciled.

Saying no to a wasteful lifestyle emphasises the importance of living a life of contentment, stewardship, and responsibility. It is sad to know that there are many believers who are quite wasteful, and they do not realise how much they hurt the Lord with this lifestyle. Such people consume more than necessary in everything money, food, material, etc. They spend excessively and live beyond their means. But as believers, we are called to live with wisdom, contentment, and gratitude, recognising that everything we have is a gift from God. A wasteful lifestyle is not only unwise, but it is also unbiblical. God calls us to stewardship, not waste. He created the earth and everything in it, and entrusted them in our care. A wasteful lifestyle dishonours this responsibility. Genesis 2:15 highlights our role as caretakers and not exploiters of God's creation. It says, "And the Lord God took the man, and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it."

Our Lord Jesus condemns wastefulness and calls for responsibility by emphasising the importance of being faithful and wise stewards, especially in handling resources (Luke 16:10-12). Wastefulness shows a lack of responsibility and gratitude. God honours those who manage resources well, no matter how small. Learning to be content reduces unnecessary spending and waste. It frees us from the endless cycle of consumption. 1 Timothy 6:6 says, "But godliness with contentment is great gain." The Bible teaches us that contentment is far greater than excessive riches, for we brought nothing into the world and it is certain that we can take nothing out of it. When we chase after more than we need, we not only waste resources but also ignore the needs of others. Therefore, instead of waste, we should be generous with our resources, sharing with those in need.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 10th June, 2026.
The rapture is the greatest event the church is waiting for now according to God's end-time calendar. This event is a settled matter in the agenda of the Almighty God. Although human beings can despise it, scoff at it, make a mockery of it, misunderstand it, or even write it off, yet it will surely happen. Therefore, every inappropriate disposition of man to this sacred agenda can never circumvent it. It will definitely come to pass!

The rapture is described as "caught-up" by the Apostle Paul in 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17. "For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord." Jesus Christ, in many of His teachings, used the metaphor of the arrival of the Bridegroom (Matthew 25:10), the return of Master of the house (Luke 13:25-29), the ten virgins (Matthew 25:1-7) and many other parables to describe the rapture. One dangerous fact about the rapture is that it will happen so suddenly when people least expect it. Many shall be caught unprepared. But the Scripture says, "But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as a thief." (1 Thessalonians 5:4).

Therefore, to prepare for rapture, you must be truly born again. Jesus must be the Lord over every area of your life in a true sense of that claim. A sound and deep relationship with the Holy Spirit is essential. Consistency of holy living is non-negotiable. Then, you must live daily with eternity in view and by also fixing your gaze on the judgement seat of Christ. Run away from sin and every form of iniquity. Show the love of Christ to the people around you. Lastly, be committed to total consecration. I pray that the Lord will meet you rapturable at His coming, in Jesus' name.

[30] Now Jesus had not yet come into the town, but was in the place where Martha met Him.

[31] Then the Jews who were with her in the house, and comforting her, when they saw that Mary rose up quickly and went out, followed her, saying, “She is going to the tomb to weep there.”

[32] Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”

[33] Therefore, when Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came with her weeping, He groaned in the spirit and was troubled.

[34] And He said, “Where have you laid him?” They said to Him, “Lord, come and see.”

[35] Jesus wept.

[36] Then the Jews said, “See how He loved him!”

[37] And some of them said, “Could not this Man, who opened the eyes of the blind, also have kept this man from dying?”

[38] Then Jesus, again groaning in Himself, came to the tomb. It was a cave, and a stone lay against it.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 9th June, 2026.
Jesus wept? The All-powerful Messiah and the Anointed One wept? Yes! Jesus wept. The Lord and Master just received the sad news of the passing of His beloved friend, Lazarus. Thereafter, Jesus was on His way to Bethany to raise Lazarus when He encountered Martha, the sister of Lazarus and other Jewish sympathisers. The display of emotions was profound enough that Jesus Himself wept.

Why did Jesus weep? Jesus wept because of the deep empathy He demonstrated towards the bereaved family. He demonstrated to mankind what it means to weep with those who are weeping (Romans 12:15). This act also confirms the humanity of Jesus Christ, portraying Him as a suitable High Priest Who can feel the pains and weaknesses of His people (Hebrews 4:15). Jesus wept because of the profound unbelief of the Jews who never believed He could bring the dead back to life.

Beloved, there are lots of situations making Jesus Christ weep over the believers today. The Scripture says He shall see of the travail of His soul, and He shall be satisfied. We are the results of the travail of His soul. You are the joy He was seeing ahead that made Him endure the Cross, despising its shame. Each time Jesus looks down upon you, is He happy, or is the Lord of glory weeping?

If you are still living in any form of sin, Jesus is weeping over you. If you are sold out to any form of iniquity as a Christian, Jesus is weeping over you. Are you a carnal Christian? Are you worldly? Is your life giving uncertain sound? Are you still grieving the Holy Spirit? Is your life keeping people away from the Kingdom of God? Are people reproaching the Kingdom of God or blaspheming God's name because of the way you are living? Are you committing sin secretly? Has God placed you in any position of influence, and you are using your office to oppress, afflict, harass or defraud others and the nation you are supposed to serve as a believer? Then, Jesus is weeping over you. Repent today, before it becomes too late.
