[45] “Get away from among this congregation, that I may consume them in a moment.” And they fell on their faces. 

[46] So Moses said to Aaron, “Take a censer and put fire in it from the altar, put incense on it, and take it quickly to the congregation and make atonement for them; for wrath has gone out from the Lord. The plague has begun.” 

[47] Then Aaron took it as Moses commanded, and ran into the midst of the assembly; and already the plague had begun among the people. So he put in the incense and made atonement for the people. 

[48] And he stood between the dead and the living; so the plague was stopped. 

[49] Now those who died in the plague were fourteen thousand seven hundred, besides those who died in the Korah incident. 

[50] So Aaron returned to Moses at the door of the tabernacle of meeting, for the plague had stopped.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 8th June, 2026.
To murmur means to grumble, to complain, to whine, in a way that expresses dissatisfaction or resentment. Many times, people murmur when they are displeased about something but are not bold enough to articulate their concerns constructively.

In our Fire Scripture, we see a classic example of murmuring. The children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron after the death of the rebellious Korah, Dathan and Abiram. They accused the leaders of killing the Lord's people. How did the Lord respond? He sent a plague that consumed fourteen thousand and seven hundred of them. What does this teach us? The Lord hates murmuring and grumbling; it seriously displeases Him.

The children of Israel are not alone in this sin of murmuring. Many Christians today are equally guilty of this sin. In life, everyone will experience one challenge or the other at some point. Our default response as Christians should not be to murmur; murmuring is for those who do not know the Lord. The Bible encourages us to cast our burdens on the Lord (Psalm 55:22), to trust in the Lord and not in man (Proverbs 3:5; Jeremiah 17:5) and to come boldly to the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16).

Examine yourself carefully. Do you secretly or openly complain about your boss? When you board a bus, do you join others to complain about your leaders? After listening to your pastor's sermon, you go home and highlight all the errors to your spouse or anybody else. Are you a murmurer? If there are issues you are dissatisfied with as a child of God, the first thing to do is pray; afterwards, walk up to the person/people involved and respectfully articulate your concerns.

From our text, we see that the Lord Himself would supervise the punishment of the murmurers. The book of Hebrews tells us that it is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the Lord (Hebrews 10:31). You really do not want to be on the receiving end of God's judgement. So, repent today! May the Lord help us, in Jesus' name.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 7th June, 2026.
In God's kingdom, true greatness is not achieved through personal ambition, wealth, or status but through serving others with humility, compassion, selflessness, and genuine stewardship. Jesus made this truth known in our Fire Scripture for today. Jesus was a teacher par excellence. He was practical and exemplary. In Acts 1, the Bible talks about "all that Jesus began both to do and teach." Jesus demonstrated a life of service and stewardship that led to greatness and also taught it to His disciples.

Service and stewardship are the prominent keys to greatness in the kingdom of God. Perhaps, you have been asking, "How can I be great in God and His kingdom?" Jesus said, "Serve God and others. Be a good steward of the gifts and resources that God has given you. All these call for humility and complete obedience.

The mother of two of Jesus' disciples, John and James Zebedee, had visited Jesus, worshipped Him and requested that His sons sit, one on his right and the other on his left, in His kingdom. Jesus' reply to the caring woman was that it was His Father's prerogative to give such greatness or confer such honour to those He has prepared them.

Later, Jesus called His disciples to Himself and taught them the secrets of true greatness in God's kingdom, contrasting it with what obtains in the world. He noted that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, sometimes oppressing their subordinates, subjects and followers, and they that are great among the Gentiles exercise authority upon them. He added that it shall not be so among His followers because God's kingdom operates on a different principle. To be great in God's kingdom, you must be willing to humble yourself, serve others compassionately and selflessly, and be a good steward of God's grace and gift in your life.

Herein lies the secret of the unparalleled greatness of Jesus Christ. The Lord affirmed this truth when He said, "The Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and give his life as ransom for many." Our Royal Master is simply saying that if you want to be great, you should follow His example: render genuine service and stewardship!

MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday, 6th June, 2026.
The enemy is an expert at deceiving people. He makes his victims lose out in the race of life and destiny. One of the ways he does this is to preach heresies to them, whisper discouraging statements to their hearts and show them pictures that are contrary to what God has told them or promised them. Sometimes, he assails believers with trials and temptations. This is all in a bid to make their faith fail and make them disobey God.

When God says He has given you His own kind of life, abundant and eternal life, the enemy will bring you suggestions and questions to make you doubt or disbelieve what God has said. When God says you are fruitful, the enemy will give you a million reasons to think you are not. He makes you see barrenness as your reality and wants you to take it as your permanent state. When the Lord says you are healed and strong, the enemy will tell you that you are not. Beloved, the devil is a blocker, spoiler, and killjoy. He does not want you to experience the fulfilment of God's promises for your life or enjoy His blessings. He does not want your prayer to be answered or your joy to be full. That is why he always resists the change or transformation that God's children seek from Him.

Beloved, you must not be ignorant of the devices of the enemy. Do not give him a foothold in your life. If the enemy has a legal ground in any area of your life and is harassing you, rise up in prayer and take the legal ground away from him, using the blood and the most powerful name of Jesus. Beloved, don't repeat the mistake that Eve made by listening to the enemy and heeding his destructive advice. Resist him, shut him out of your space and life. Hide God's word in your heart, live by it and make it your final authority. The devil and his cohorts are waiting for your unguarded hour to attack you. They want to destroy your sweet relationship with the Father. You must be sober and vigilant, and as the songwriter penned, "Seek not yet repose. You are in the midst of foes; watch and pray!"

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 5th June, 2026.
We started on the prayer of intercessions yesterday. We will take it a bit further. The prayer of intercession is the prayer that can open heaven for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit to bless people and to stop the cause of war. The prayer of intercession is the prayer that makes God to hold back whatever He decides to do so that the people can repent, have a rethink and amend their ways.

In our Fire Scripture for today, the Bible tells us that Jesus is the Master and best intercessor. He doesn't need to offer any sacrifice of cleansing for Himself before He intercedes for His children, but the priest of old had to first offer a sacrifice of cleansing for themselves before they could do the same for the people. He has offered Himself as a sacrifice on the Cross of Calvary once and for all for the whole world. Therefore, beloved, the prayer of intercession is the prayer we can call the prayer of salvation, saving the perishing from the hands of death or sin that holds on to them. A brother mentioned sometimes ago, when we were discussing about the lukewarm attitude of Christians to prayer of intercession, that it was because they do not know the advantage. Beloved, God answers the prayer of intercession fastest and the glory will go to God and the person or persons concerned will appreciate God for answers to prayers.

The prayer of intercession is very important to God, God can do nothing if there is no one to intercede. The prayer of intercession that Abraham prayed stopped at 10 souls and God also stopped at ten (10). If Abraham had gone lower, maybe just maybe, Sodom and Gomorrah would still be in existence today. God wants all believers to pray the prayer of intercession.

The prayer of intercession is very dear to the heart of God. Our God is always looking for men, women even children to stand in the gap. The reason is that He does not want anyone to perish or to be destroyed. For this cause, He wants those who will stand between His people and the evil that the enemy has planned to do to them, so that He can intervene. Before we take a look at the prayer of intercessions, we need to know what intercession is. So, what is intercession?

Intercession is to make petition on behalf of someone. To put yourself in the position of another and pray for that person. Intercession is a ministry of sacrifice and selfless spiritual exercise and the intercessor stands between God and a person or group of people or a community or a country or a city or a town, a church or standing for an event or occasion. Now back to the Fire Scripture, if you go through it from the very first, the children of Isreal have committed so many abominations, their leaders have not faired any better, they cheated the poor, maltreated the widows profane the altar and the house of God. Yet God is ever merciful, He was still seeking for an occasion to forgive them, so that He will not destroy them. Because there was none, He poured out His indignation upon them.

Dearly beloved, the prayer of intercession would have saved those people, but there was no one to do the prayers. Therefore, God needs everyone to be involved in the prayer of intercession. The prayer of intercession is the prayer that is poured out of a genuine heart to save others from danger. The prayer of intercession is the prayer that mediate between two warring parties so as to set them apart. The prayer of intercession is the prayer we can call the mediation of a Lawyer who knows the case of his client and the complainant or the defender and will be able to put in a good word for them. God is seeking such today.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 3rd June, 2026.
Patriotism refers to the love for and devotion to one's country. As children of God, we are expected to love and show loyalty to our country; we should also pray for our country.

Throughout the Bible, there are several examples of patriotism that are worth emulating. Daniel was patriotic by interceding for his country despite being in Babylonian captivity (Daniel 9:1-3), Esther and Mordecai showed patriotism by praying and fasting to stop the wicked plot of Haman (Esther 4:16-17). Also, in our Fire Scripture, Nehemiah left a relatively comfortable position as the king's cupbearer to spearhead the mission of rebuilding Jerusalem's wall.

As a citizen of your earthly country, how patriotic are you? There are several practical ways of showing patriotism to your country. A good Christian should be a responsible citizen. He/she should not be found evading taxes. In Matthew 17:24-27, we see Jesus paying the temple tax even though He did not have to. He also taught in Matthew 22:17-21 that we should give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar. So, it is lawful to pay taxes.

In addition, the Lord expects us to be law abiding citizens. Christians should not be found involved in criminal activities like armed robbery, kidnapping, rape, murder, drug pushing or any other activity that disrupts law and order. Christians ought to participate in the political process by voting; they should protect public property, report and prevent crime.

Most importantly, Scriptures enjoin us to pray for our country. This is the highest expression of love for one's country. We should not join others to speak ill of our country and our leaders; we should rather pray for divine intervention in the areas of our national life that are not good enough. Take hold of God's promises and prophecies concerning your nation just like Nehemiah did in Nehemiah chapter 1:8-9.

Ultimately, our citizenship is in heaven (Philippians 3:20). While on earth, make sure to faithfully represent the One who has saved you and called you with a heavenly calling. May the Lord help you, in Jesus' name.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 2nd June, 2026.
Beloved, you may not meet Jesus physically to get verbal instructions from Him today. As believers, the Bible is our instructional manual. It contains the Lord's instructions for living and His wisdom for our good. Obey it and it will be well with you.

What you do with divine instructions will determine how well you do and how far you go in life. It will also determine whether you fulfil your destiny or not. Every time God gives you an instruction, heaven presents you with an opportunity to experience a wonderful divine change. It is up to you what you do with the instruction and opportunity. The Bible affirms this timeless truth in Proverbs 4:13 (our memory verse for today), when it says, "Take fast hold of instruction; let her not go: keep her; for she is your life."

Some ignore or disobey divine instructions to their own detriment or peril. I enjoin you to learn from the mistakes of King Saul, the young prophet, and Samson, who all failed to heed the divine instructions given to them. Follow in the steps of Peter, who heeded Jesus' instruction and his life never remained the same.

Divine instruction is the key to open the door of your miracles and testimonies. If obeyed, it has the capacity to produce your healing (as was the case with Naaman). It has the power to part your Red Sea and divide your Jordan. It will recover your lost axe head and restore all the blessings that spiritual thieves have stolen from you. It will birth your deliverance from any kind of bondage and set you free from the strong man troubling your life. It will help to win your battles and make you a victor in life. Divine instruction, when obeyed, will help you to fulfil your destiny.

The Bible affirms that God's commandments or instructions are not grievous. They are for your good because God's thoughts towards you are good and not evil; they are thoughts of peace to give you hope and an expected end. So, I advise you to obey God's instruction and it will be well with you.

3. Powers assigned to make me despise divine instructions, you are liars; die, in the name of Jesus.
