MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 12th January, 2026.

Beloved, as a believer, all of God's power, strength, comfort, creativity and help are available to you at all times through the Holy Spirit that dwells in you. Therefore, you will be forfeiting a great privilege and bearing needless pain when you do not seek His counsel, guidance, wisdom and comfort in times of need. Why is it important that you seek the counsel and direction of the Holy Spirit? 1 Corinthians 2:11 affirms that no one knows the mind of God except the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is in the best position to be your counsellor and help you navigate life's journey and challenges.

As a believer, the Holy Spirit will guide you into all truth and help you understand and apply God's word to your life and situation (John 16:13). He will also guide you in your walk with Him (Romans 8:14). He will convicts you of sin, righteousness and judgement, helping you to grow in holiness and obedience (John 16:8-11). He will give you the spirit of power, love and self-discipline, enabling them to live a life pleasing to God (2 Timothy 2:17). In addition, He will provide you with comfort, peace, hope and joy (Acts 9:31 and Romans 15:13).

As your counsellor, the Holy Spirit will help you understand and apply the word of God. He will guide you in decision making and problem solving. He will give you peace, hope and reassurance in times of need. He will also enable you to live a life of obedience, holiness and service. In James 1:5, the Bible says that whoever lacks wisdom should ask God for it. You should ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom and discernment. He is available to help you know the will, purpose and plan of God per time. He will also provide you counsel and support when you find yourself struggling with emotions like anxiety, fear, grief, etc. (Romans 15:13). Also, when you face uncertainty, you can ask Him for guidance and reassurance (Proverbs 3:5-6). To enjoy the counselling ministry of the Holy Spirit, you must be born again, pray to Him to counsel and guide you, listen to His gentle nudges, convictions, guidance and be sensitive to His leading. Read and meditate on the Scriptures regularly and obey His counsel and guidance always.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 11th January, 2026.

As New Testament believers, we have two intercessors: Jesus Christ, our High Priest in heaven (Hebrews 7:25) and the Holy Spirit on earth. Both of them always present our matter before the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of grace and supplication (Zechariah 12:10). He teaches us (believers) to pray. He intercedes for us (Romans 8:26).

Intercession is to pray on behalf of another person. As a believer, this should be part of your prayer life. We should make it a habit to pray for other Christians, our leaders, our church and our nation, among others. However, the truth is that many believers struggle with prayer and intercession. They are not consistent with their Quiet Time, daily devotion, vigils and wish they do better in all of these so as to enjoy closer fellowship with God. This is where the Holy Spirit plays a significant role in our lives. The Bible underscores this point and specifies this role in Romans 8:26-27, "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God."

The word "infirmities" refers to our weakness. Romans 8:26 identifies what that weakness is: "We know not what we ought to pray and how to pray; we do not always know exactly what to ask God." The Holy Spirit comes to us in this situation and in our other problems, makes those problems His own and takes them to God on our behalf. He helps us to pray according to God's will and does so with deep, wordless sigh. One truth you should never forget is that the Holy Spirit cannot pray amiss. That is why His intercession for us is always very rewarding. He knows the will of God and prays for each of us according to the will of the Father. It is quite gratifying to know that the Holy Spirit acts as a mediator, pleading for believers' needs before God.

[22] Judas (not Iscariot) said to Him, “Lord, how is it that You will manifest Yourself to us, and not to the world?”
[23] Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

The term "paraclete", which Jesus used to describe the Holy Spirit, is also translated as "advocate" in English. So, John 14:26 in another Bible version also reads, "But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you." Jesus said this to make His disciples believe that their relationship with Him would still continue after He might have left them. He had been their advocate all along. The new advocate He promised is the Spirit of Truth, the Holy Spirit, which the world does not know but the disciples do. He will teach them all things and remind them of everything that Jesus said.

The Holy Spirit as advocate means someone who pleads another's cause, defends, or intercedes on their behalf. In other words, He is God's representative or helper, who works alongside believers, guiding them, comforting them, and pleading with God for their needs.

How can we experience the Holy Spirit as our advocate? The Bible describes the devil as the accuser. He accuses us day and night in God's presence, taking our sins before Him (Revelation 12:10), but the Holy Spirit is called our Advocate. He defends us. He testifies with our spirits that we are God's children (Romans 8:16). He helps us in our weakness (Romans 8:26a). He brings us God's forgiveness and the ability to change to please God. He also gives us peace in our souls.

The Holy Spirit teaches us the laws or commandments of God so that we can live by them. He is our legal counsellor. He defends us from spiritual accusations and intercedes for us with God, especially when we cannot articulate our prayers effectively.

Therefore, by His role as our Advocate, the Holy Spirit ensures that we are not condemned but justified when the accuser goes before God with our sins. Our relationship with the Father and the Son is spared and kept intact as He serves as our advocate or legal counsellor. Beloved, it is risky and costly to live your life without the legal advice of the Holy Spirit!

As believers, the Holy Spirit plays the all-important role of a helper in our lives. Sometimes, we get overwhelmed and feel that life has handed us more than we can handle or that we have been called to accomplish more than we can. We need to partner with the Holy Spirit and give Him room to play His roles as a helper in our everyday lives. This will enable us to record resounding victory and phenomenal success where others are recording defeat and failure. The Holy Spirit helps us (believers) in the following ways:

First, the Holy Spirit convinces and convicts unbelievers of sin, draws them to Christ and makes them see their need for salvation. After salvation, He continues to work in the lives of believers, helping them to grow and mature spiritually. He is the Spirit of truth; He testifies of Jesus to us and points us to Jesus. He also gives us the boldness to witness about Jesus.

Second, the Holy Spirit teaches us all things and brings to our remembrance the things that Jesus had taught us (John 14:26). In Luke 12:11-12, Jesus, affirming this role of the Holy Spirit, told His disciples not to panic when they have to speak in defence of the gospel because the Holy Spirit would teach them what to say. In 1 Corinthians 2:3, Apostle Paul revealed that the Holy Spirit interprets spiritual truths to us and fills us with spiritual wisdom and understanding.

Finally, the Holy Spirit helps us by giving us specific instructions. We must be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's promptings all the time and carry out His instructions to the letter. We must make it a habit to always ask Him what He wants us to do in all situations. The Holy Spirit helped the apostles on many occasions. In Acts 13:2, while the apostles were worshipping and fasting, He told them, "Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them."

Beloved, the Lord has given you His Spirit to help you overcome challenges and solve problems, just as He did for Othniel, Joshua, Samson, David, Ezekiel, Daniel and the apostles. Make His Spirit your senior partner and seek His help today!

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 8th January, 2026.
The Holy Spirit, the Third Person in the Trinity, plays multifaceted roles in the lives of believers. He is our Abiding Guest (John 14:16), our Teacher and Remembrancer (John 14:26), our Testifier (John 15:26), our Reprover (John 16:7-8), our Guide, the Voice of God, the Prophet (John 16:13), the Glorifier of Jesus (John 16:14), the Exhibitor of Jesus (John 16:15), the Spiritual Dynamo (Acts 1:8), the Witness to Sonship (Romans 8:16), our Helper in prayer (Romans 8:26), our Solicitor (Revelation 22:17). These are just a few of His roles that the Bible reveals to us.

In John 14:16, our memory verse, Jesus gave a promise to His disciples, "And I will pray the Father and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever." What brought this about? Jesus had told them that He would soon depart from them and go back to His Father. That news distabilised and saddened them. Jesus had been everything to them, and they must have feared that they would not be able to cope with life and ministry challenges without Him being with them physically. Jesus perceived their fear and worry. So, He assured them that He would give them another comforter of His own kind or a helper like Him who would never depart from them forever.

Beloved, the Holy Spirit is the "Another Comforter" that Jesus has given you and me as well as all His other followers and disciples to indwell us, teach us God's word, guide us into truth, remind us of what Jesus has taught us and help us to apply them to our lives positively. He works in us to give us His peace (John 14:27), His love (John 15:9-10), and His joy (John 15:11). He comforts our hearts and minds in a troubled world. He also gives us the ability to live by the Spirit and not the flesh and He produces His fruit in our lives (Galatians 5:22-23) to the glory of God the Father. Today, we will wrap up our series on God's word as medicine. I'll be giving a list of scriptures that reveal God's will for His children to be healed through the medicine of His word. I encourage you to apply these promises from the scriptures to your specific situation.

Psalm 107:20: He sent his word, and healed them, And delivered them from their destructions.

3 John 1:2: Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.

Jeremiah 17:14: Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for thou art my praise.

Isaiah 53:5: But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1 Peter 2:24: who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Isaiah 58:8: Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.

Exodus 15:26: and said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I am the LORD that healeth thee.

Malachi 4:2: But unto you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise with healing in his wings; and ye shall go forth, and grow up as calves of the stall.

Beloved, God's word is your divine cure-all. Put your faith to work and use it to get complete wholeness. Confess relevant healing scriptures. Meditate on them day and night. Memorise God's promises for your healing and sing them back to Him. Receive those promises with faith. Declare your healing loudly. Beloved, the word of God will not fail you, in Jesus' name.

[48] Then Jesus said to him, “Unless you people see signs and wonders, you will by no means believe.”
[49] The nobleman said to Him, “Sir, come down before my child dies!”
[50] Jesus said to him, “Go your way; your son lives.” So the man believed the word that Jesus spoke to him, and he went his way.
[51] And as he was now going down, his servants met him and told him, saying, “Your son lives!”
[52] Then he inquired of them the hour when he got better. And they said to him, “Yesterday at the seventh hour the fever left him.”
[53] So the father knew that it was at the same hour in which Jesus said to him, “Your son lives.” And he himself believed, and his whole household.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 6th January, 2026.

Today, we continue our discourse on God's word as medicine. God's word can be applied just like physical medicine. The beautiful thing is that, unlike physical medicine, there can be no overdose of God's word. God's word works in mysterious ways. This medicine has the ability to heal us, body, soul and spirit.

God's word can come through several means. Primarily, God's word comes through the Bible. As a matter of fact, every other source of God's word must be tested by the scriptures. The word of God can also come through His representative like your pastor, or any spiritual person around you. Then, you yourself can receive a word from God directly concerning your situation. God can also speak through inanimate things; we only have to be sensitive in the spirit.

Now, how do you apply the word of God? When you receive a word from God through any of these means, you hold on to it. The same way you'd faithfully use your antibiotics is the same way you should faithfully confess the word of God, both day and night. You can sing the word of God. You can pray the word of God; that is, pray using scriptures or any word you have received. The key thing is to operate in faith and be consistent. There are multitudes of promises that God has given us for our health so we know for sure that it is God's will for us to be healthy.

However, the major requirement for accessing the medicine of God's word is being born again. Healing is the children's bread; it is for those who are believers in Christ. Right standing with God gives you a legal right to access all that Jesus obtained for the church through His finished works, including healing. May the healing touch of God locate you, body, soul and spirit, in Jesus' mighty name.

[3] In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water.
[4] For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had.
[5] Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years.
[6] When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?”
[7] The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”
[8] Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your bed and walk.”
[9] And immediately the man was made well, took up his bed, and walked. And that day was the Sabbath.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 5th January, 2026.

Medicine is used by people who are not feeling well. There are various types of medications used for various forms of illnesses just like there are varying dosages for different levels of sickness. Also, there are medications that are used to maintain good health. That is, the users may not be sick but they use these medications in a preventive way. The word of God functions like medicine. It can be used for both preventive and curative purposes.

The word of God functions the way God Himself functions. When God sends His word, it doesn't return without fulfilling its purpose. God can send His word to heal your body, soul and spirit. What's more? The word of God never fails or misses its target.

In today's Fire Scripture, Jesus only spoke the word to heal the man who had had that infirmity for thirty-eight years. The man had been sitting there, looking for someone to carry him into the water after the angel's visitation, but there was no one. Then, Jesus came and healed him with His word. It was amazing.

Jesus still heals with the word of His mouth today. Somebody might ask, "Where do I see Jesus so that He can speak to me?" You can see Jesus in His word. It is true that Jesus no longer walks the earth as a man but His word is still on earth with us and it is extremely powerful. If you or people you know are sick, you have to strengthen your faith and apply God's word as medicine.

As much as I do not want to discredit medical science, I want you to know that Jesus is the ultimate Healer; He is called the Great Physician. Even medical practitioners usually say, "We care, God heals." As much as God can work through medical science, He can also work without medical science. God wants us to grow our faith beyond reliance on man and dependence on physical drugs. I want you to ponder on this: if God created the whole world with the word of His mouth, why can't He heal us with the word of His mouth?

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 4th January, 2026.

Yesterday, we stressed that God expects you to prioritise and record growth in your spiritual life and that you can achieve this by growing your faith. We added that the first thing to do in this regard is to understand faith and its significance. We rounded off with two of the practical steps you need to take to grow your faith. We will continue that discourse today.

Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what isn't seen (Hebrews 11:1). It is a gift from God given to every disciple (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is given in different amounts to each disciple (Romans 12:3). It is the foundation for both pleasing God (Hebrew 11:6) and fruit bearing (1 Peter 1:5-8). It is powerful, as just a little bit can move a mountain (Matthew 17:20). Finally, it is to be the framework through which a disciple lives (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Let us now identify other practical steps you need to take to grow your faith in the Lord: (3) Surround yourself with faith-filled people. Two great things will greatly influence your life: the people you surround yourself with and the books you read. It is your responsibility to choose your friends and associates wisely. Ensure that they are people of faith and their presence in your life will help to strengthen and grow your faith, rather than dampen, weaken or destroy it. In addition, you should attend church regularly; don't forsake the assembling of other saints (4) Read great, faith-building books. Anointed books provide good avenue to encounter God and build your faith. I recommend that you read such books written by faith preachers and writers. (5) Pray for faith and pray regularly. Spending much time in prayer alone with God on a regular basis will help to grow your faith in Him. As you talk to God and He talks to you, and you carry out His instructions, your life will begin to take a positive turn and your faith will grow.

Beloved, growing your faith and deepening your relationship with God come with amazing benefits. They will help you to have a year filled with marvellous works of God and mighty testimonies.

[4] By faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, through which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts; and through it he being dead still speaks.
[5] By faith Enoch was taken away so that he did not see death, “and was not found, because God had taken him”; for before he was taken he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
[6] But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday, 3rd January, 2026.

Beloved, one area of your spiritual life that God expects you to grow exponentially is your faith. You must prioritise this goal in this new year. Faith is an indispensable companion in the journey of every believer. Faith is having courageous trust in God and His unfailing abilities. The Bible affirms that without faith it is impossible to please God. Beloved, you need the faith that sees the invisible, believes the incredible and achieves the impossible. The patriarchs that demonstrated those kinds of faith are worthy examples for us today. They are tagged as the heroes and heroines of faith.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Beloved, it is your responsibility to ensure that your faith grows, increases, gets strengthened, remains ever-active and increasingly productive. When you grow your faith, you will successfully deepen your relationship with God. Here are practical steps you should take to grow your faith in the Lord: (1) Have a regular diet of reading the Bible. Make use of a Bible reading plan that will help you to read the Bible in a year. One of the values the Bible has the power to add to your life is faith. It is written to produce faith in you. In John 20:31, the Bible says, "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name." (2) Put the word of God into practice. One mystery about God's word is that it is not its hearer or reader that gets truly blessed but its doer. In Matthew 7:24-25, Jesus describes the person who hears God's words and puts them into practice as a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against the house, yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock (the word of God). Beloved, when you put God's word into practice, your relationship with Him will deepen, you will experience its transforming power and your faith in Him will begin to grow. and it shall be well with you.

[2] And on the second day, at the banquet of wine, the king again said to Esther, “What is your petition, Queen Esther? It shall be granted you. And what is your request, up to half the kingdom? It shall be done!”
[3] Then Queen Esther answered and said, “If I have found favor in your sight, O king, and if it pleases the king, let my life be given me at my petition, and my people at my request.
[4] For we have been sold, my people and I, to be destroyed, to be killed, and to be annihilated. Had we been sold as male and female slaves, I would have held my tongue, although the enemy could never compensate for the king’s loss.”
[5] So King Ahasuerus answered and said to Queen Esther, “Who is he, and where is he, who would dare presume in his heart to do such a thing?”
[6] And Esther said, “The adversary and enemy is this wicked Haman!” So Haman was terrified before the king and queen.
[7] Then the king arose in his wrath from the banquet of wine and went into the palace garden; but Haman stood before Queen Esther, pleading for his life, for he saw that evil was determined against him by the king.
[8] When the king returned from the palace garden to the place of the banquet of wine, Haman had fallen across the couch where Esther was. Then the king said, “Will he also assault the queen while I am in the house?” As the word left the king’s mouth, they covered Haman’s face.
[9] Now Harbonah, one of the eunuchs, said to the king, “Look! The gallows, fifty cubits high, which Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good on the king’s behalf, is standing at the house of Haman.” Then the king said, “Hang him on it!”
[10] So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. Then the king’s wrath subsided.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 2nd January, 2026.

As believers, many of the needless pain and lack we suffer are due to our ignorance of God's awesome nature and power. It is disheartening that God's people perish due to lack of knowledge.

This awesome God moved in the life of David and he killed Goliath. When He moved in the lives of Mordecai, Esther and the Jews, Haman, their sworn enemy, died a gruesome and shameful death while they all lived to glorify God. Today, I encourage you to tap into God's awesomeness and power for victory over your enemies, challenges and for your personal breakthroughs.

There was a young lady who desired to study abroad but she and her parents had no money. She prayed to God about it in church all the time. Normally before you are given visa to study abroad, you must have been given an admission and present the evidence that you have paid your fees. However, this lady had none of these requirements. Yet, she went to the embassy for an interview for visa to go abroad and study. Before the visa interview at the embassy, she observed three-day dry fast and prayed that the God of Elijah would come through for her. The white man who interviewed her asked for her admission letter and evidence that she had paid her school fees. She told the man that she had none of the two. The man told her, "I'm sorry, I cannot give you a visa." She replied, "You will give me sir, because there was a word of knowledge in my church that you would give me." The white man asked, "What is word of knowledge?" She replied, "Prophetic utterance, word spoken by a prophet of God." The white inquired, "Who is this prophet of God." She told him, "My father in the Lord." Then the white man said, "You are indeed a strange girl. On a second thought, I will issue you the visa." That was how the awesome God moved in her favour and she got the visa without supporting documents.

This year, I enjoin you to make the awesome God the epicentre of your life. He will do great and marvelous things without number for you, in the name of Jesus.
