[3] In these lay a great multitude of sick people, blind, lame, paralyzed, waiting for the moving of the water. 
[4] For an angel went down at a certain time into the pool and stirred up the water; then whoever stepped in first, after the stirring of the water, was made well of whatever disease he had. 
[5] Now a certain man was there who had an infirmity thirty-eight years. 
[6] When Jesus saw him lying there, and knew that he already had been in that condition a long time, He said to him, “Do you want to be made well?” 
[7] The sick man answered Him, “Sir, I have no man to put me into the pool when the water is stirred up; but while I am coming, another steps down before me.”

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 5th January, 2026.

Medicine is used by people who are not feeling well. There are various types of medications used for various forms of illnesses just like there are varying dosages for different levels of sickness. Also, there are medications that are used to maintain good health. That is, the users may not be sick but they use these medications in a preventive way. The word of God functions like medicine. It can be used for both preventive and curative purposes.

The word of God functions the way God Himself functions. When God sends His word, it doesn't return without fulfilling its purpose. God can send His word to heal your body, soul and spirit. What's more? The word of God never fails or misses its target.

In today's Fire Scripture, Jesus only spoke the word to heal the man who had had that infirmity for thirty-eight years. The man had been sitting there, looking for someone to carry him into the water after the angel's visitation, but there was no one. Then, Jesus came and healed him with His word. It was amazing.

Jesus still heals with the word of His mouth today. Somebody might ask, "Where do I see Jesus so that He can speak to me?" You can see Jesus in His word. It is true that Jesus no longer walks the earth as a man but His word is still on earth with us and it is extremely powerful. If you or people you know are sick, you have to strengthen your faith and apply God's word as medicine.

As much as I do not want to discredit medical science, I want you to know that Jesus is the ultimate Healer; He is called the Great Physician. Even medical practitioners usually say, "We care, God heals." As much as God can work through medical science, He can also work without medical science. God wants us to grow our faith beyond reliance on man and dependence on physical drugs. I want you to ponder on this: if God created the whole world with the word of His mouth, why can't He heal us with the word of His mouth?

1. Thank You, Lord Jesus, because You are my healer, in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 4th January, 2026.

Yesterday, we stressed that God expects you to prioritise and record growth in your spiritual life and that you can achieve this by growing your faith. We added that the first thing to do in this regard is to understand faith and its significance. We rounded off with two of the practical steps you need to take to grow your faith. We will continue that discourse today.

Faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what isn't seen (Hebrews 11:1). It is a gift from God given to every disciple (Ephesians 2:8-9). It is given in different amounts to each disciple (Romans 12:3). It is the foundation for both pleasing God (Hebrew 11:6) and fruit bearing (1 Peter 1:5-8). It is powerful, as just a little bit can move a mountain (Matthew 17:20). Finally, it is to be the framework through which a disciple lives (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Let us now identify other practical steps you need to take to grow your faith in the Lord: (3) Surround yourself with faith-filled people. Two great things will greatly influence your life: the people you surround yourself with and the books you read. It is your responsibility to choose your friends and associates wisely. Ensure that they are people of faith and their presence in your life will help to strengthen and grow your faith, rather than dampen, weaken or destroy it. In addition, you should attend church regularly; don't forsake the assembling of other saints (4) Read great, faith-building books. Anointed books provide good avenue to encounter God and build your faith. I recommend that you read such books written by faith preachers and writers. (5) Pray for faith and pray regularly. Spending much time in prayer alone with God on a regular basis will help to grow your faith in Him. As you talk to God and He talks to you, and you carry out His instructions, your life will begin to take a positive turn and your faith will grow.

Beloved, growing your faith and deepening your relationship with God come with amazing benefits. They will help you to have a year filled with marvellous works of God and mighty testimonies.

1. Father, give me a faith-filled and wonderful year, in the name of Jesus.

Beloved, one area of your spiritual life that God expects you to grow exponentially is your faith. You must prioritise this goal in this new year. Faith is an indispensable companion in the journey of every believer. Faith is having courageous trust in God and His unfailing abilities. The Bible affirms that without faith it is impossible to please God. Beloved, you need the faith that sees the invisible, believes the incredible and achieves the impossible. The patriarchs that demonstrated those kinds of faith are worthy examples for us today. They are tagged as the heroes and heroines of faith.

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Beloved, it is your responsibility to ensure that your faith grows, increases, gets strengthened, remains ever-active and increasingly productive. When you grow your faith, you will successfully deepen your relationship with God. Here are practical steps you should take to grow your faith in the Lord: (1) Have a regular diet of reading the Bible. Make use of a Bible reading plan that will help you to read the Bible in a year. One of the values the Bible has the power to add to your life is faith. It is written to produce faith in you. In John 20:31, the Bible says, "But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name." (2) Put the word of God into practice. One mystery about God's word is that it is not its hearer or reader that gets truly blessed but its doer. In Matthew 7:24-25, Jesus describes the person who hears God's words and puts them into practice as a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against the house, yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock (the word of God). Beloved, when you put God's word into practice, your relationship with Him will deepen, you will experience its transforming power and your faith in Him will begin to grow. and it shall be well with you.

As believers, many of the needless pain and lack we suffer are due to our ignorance of God's awesome nature and power. It is disheartening that God's people perish due to lack of knowledge.

This awesome God moved in the life of David and he killed Goliath. When He moved in the lives of Mordecai, Esther and the Jews, Haman, their sworn enemy, died a gruesome and shameful death while they all lived to glorify God. Today, I encourage you to tap into God's awesomeness and power for victory over your enemies, challenges and for your personal breakthroughs.

There was a young lady who desired to study abroad but she and her parents had no money. She prayed to God about it in church all the time. Normally before you are given visa to study abroad, you must have been given an admission and present the evidence that you have paid your fees. However, this lady had none of these requirements. Yet, she went to the embassy for an interview for visa to go abroad and study. Before the visa interview at the embassy, she observed three-day dry fast and prayed that the God of Elijah would come through for her. The white man who interviewed her asked for her admission letter and evidence that she had paid her school fees. She told the man that she had none of the two. The man told her, "I'm sorry, I cannot give you a visa." She replied, "You will give me sir, because there was a word of knowledge in my church that you would give me." The white man asked, "What is word of knowledge?" She replied, "Prophetic utterance, word spoken by a prophet of God." The white inquired, "Who is this prophet of God." She told him, "My father in the Lord." Then the white man said, "You are indeed a strange girl. On a second thought, I will issue you the visa." That was how the awesome God moved in her favour and she got the visa without supporting documents.

This year, I enjoin you to make the awesome God the epicentre of your life. He will do great and marvelous things without number for you, in the name of Jesus.

1. I connect my life and destiny to the awesome God, by the power in the blood of Jesus, in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 1st January, 2026.

God's awesomeness refers to His immense greatness, power and majesty, His holiness and righteousness, His glory and goodness, His love and mercy as well as His nature and ways that are often mysterious and beyond human understanding, all of which inspire a deep sense of reverence and wonder. The word "awesome" means: formidable and fearful, impressive and magnificent, stunning and wonderful, fascinating and incredible, marvellous, and so on.

Our God is awesome. He does awesome things. His name is awesome. His presence too is awesome. Jacob saw His awesome presence and exclaimed, "Surely, the Lord is in this place." The key to becoming invincible, unstoppable, indomitable and phenomenally successful this year is to key into the power of our omnipotent and awesome God. When you do this, you will operate under perpetual open heavens; God's angels will minister to you and you will record easy and speedy accomplishments. Besides, experiencing God's awesomeness can be life-changing and destiny-transforming. When you experience it, you will have resounding victory in life's battles, peace and comfort in times of uncertainty, supernatural supplies and abundant provisions in times of scarcity or famine, strength and hope in challenges and difficulties as well as joy and fulfilment in living for Him.

In the Bible, God demonstrated His awesome acts and showcased His power, love and sovereignty by speaking the world into existence, creating the heavens, earth and all living things (Genesis 1).

He miraculously parted the Red Sea, giving the children of Israel a dramatic deliverance from age-long bondage and slavery (Exodus 14). He raised Jesus from the dead, demonstrating His power over sin and death (Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24 and John 20). Other examples that show the awesomeness of God are the incarnation, God becoming flesh in Jesus Christ, demonstrating His love and willingness to identify with humanity (John 1:14) and through the numerous miracles that Jesus performed in His earthly life and ministry.

Do you want a life-changing encounter with the awesome God that will make 2026 your best year ever? You must be born again. You also need to develop a deep, personal relationship with Him and trust in His goodness. Then, you will witness His presence in your life.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 31st December, 2025.

One significant requirement for getting your lost axe head restored to you is divine intervention. Divine intervention could be God coming down Himself to help you. It could be God sending you an angel to get your loss axe head for you. It could be God using His prophet to help you and it could be God using anything He has created to help you recover your axe head. One thing is sure, when God intervenes in your predicament, you will have victory and laugh last. The son of the prophet recovered his lost axe head and was happy. Besides, they could complete their mission and record success.

How can you experience divine intervention and the recovery of your lost axe head? The first step is that you must be born again. The son of the prophet had Elisha with him. They had a good relationship. Hence, the prophet of God could come to his rescue. Give your life to Christ.

Second, you must have faith in God. He is the God of all possibilities. He can restore whatever you have lost, no matter how long ago you lost it or any power that has custody of it. You must believe in His sovereign and absolute power.

Third, as the son of the prophet cried to Elisha for help, you must cry to God desperately for His intervention and help. I decree that anything important for the fulfilment of your divine purpose that you lost shall be restored to you today, in the name of Jesus.

Fourth, you must walk in absolute obedience to God. Peter obeyed God's instructions to launch into the deep and he had a net-breaking catch. The restoration of your lost axe-head is tied to your complete obedience to God and His prophet. I decree that the power that restored the axe head to the son of the prophet will restore your lost axe head to you, in the mighty name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 30th December, 2025.

In 2 Kings 6:3-7, the Bible presents an interesting account of the sons of the prophet's well-meaning intention to enlarge their dwelling place and make it more habitable. To achieve this, they decided to go to the forest and cut woods for the project. The requested that Prophet Elisha should go with them, he obliged.

While they were, felling trees, the axe head fell into the river. The son of the prophet lamented the loss of the axe. This was because the axe head was borrowed and without it their work could not continue or their mission accomplished. It was the most important tool for the work at hand.

Your axe head could be that cutting edge skill or talent that set you apart from others. It could be your anointing. It could be the spiritual gifts that make your ministry impactful. It is anything tangible or intangible, physical or spiritual that God has given to you to fulfil your divine assignment. Therefore, the implication of the loss of the axe head is destiny abortion, and failure as well as the death of the person's glory.

The truth is that the devil has stolen the axe head of millions of people. In God's record, such people are billionaires, famous business tycoons, prophets unto nations and inventors. It is unfortunate that in real life such persons are failures, crawlers, unknown and unsung individuals with no impact in life. Their axe head, the instrument to fulfil their destiny with and to connect them to unusual success in life has been lost or stolen.

Is there any hope for anyone in such a situation? Can anyone in this kind of predicament find help? The answer to both questions is in the affirmative. In the biblical account in our Fire Scripture today, the axe head was miraculously recovered by the intervention and prophetic action of Elijah. The law of nature and science was suspended. The power of God located the axe head from the bottom of the river and brought it to the surface where it floated and was picked up.

Beloved, you were lost and Jesus Christ found and saved you. The same Lord and Saviour can find and restore to you anything you might have lost. Make Him your Saviour, Lord and God now.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 29th December, 2025.

You and I must go out to preach the Saviour, the resurrected Christ, others can only believe when they hear about Him - When we speak of Him in the ears of others, Satan will suffer loss, souls will be delivered from his grip, lives will be set free from his captivity - people will wake up out of their sleep of ignorance. Because every man has a spiritual need. And we have a duty to fellow human beings. All of us are debtors, without salvation, those who have not heard or behave in the son of God will perish forever in the lake of fire. If you and I are saved what happened to those who have not been saved, hell fire is not a place to go to at all-Do everything to avoid it and help others to run away from it.

How can they run from it, if they have not heard about the danger in it. Except you speak out and warn men of the danger of hell. Christian witnessing is a must, an order from God. "We are compelled to share the good news with others, it is now a matter of urgency. Romans10:14 "How then shall they call on Him, in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? And shall they hear without a preacher?"

You are that Preacher, you are that mouth piece, you are the voice that somebody is waiting for,: Are you ready? You can start with a soul per week, share tracts, give words of encouragement and through you that dying brother or sister can receive life. You must witness Christ to others today.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 28th December, 2025.

We may be hearing witnessing for Christ and not know the full import of the sentence. I remember in those days that herbalists and witch doctors did not really have sign boards to advertise themselves.

What people who go to them do was to tell others who have a similar problem like them, that I have one baba somewhere, this problem is very small for him. And like that they began to be known all over the places to the point that people will travel from adjourning towns and villages, why? Because somebody said he cure them of a similar disease or sickness. Witnessing for Christ has also placed such a burden on us. Tell others that the Saviour is here and has paid the price for that ailment, has paid the price for that trouble or problem on the cross of Calvary, come to Him to appropriate the payment for yourself. The reason we need to tell others about Him again is because when we receive Him, others need to know of our new status - Philip did it in John 1:45 "Philip findeth Nathaniel, and saith unto Him, we have found him, of which Moses in the Law, and the Prophets did write, Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of Joseph. This happened immediately he found the Lord-To tell others that we have changed from what we used to be to a new creature is to witness for Him whether or not you are shy or do not feel like speaking about Him - We have been commissioned to tell others. And others we must tell, they must also hear it from us, tell them He heals, He saves and delivers.

Witnessing for Christ also shows that you are bearing fruits John 15:16a says "Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit and that your fruit should remain:

We are branches and the Lord is the vine, as we are attached to Him, we will be able to bring forth fruit without Him, we can't bear fruit. Are you bearing fruit? If not, you can start today.

We are called to share our faith with others. We are to witness Christ to those around us and those that do not know Him. Christian witnessing is the "Great Commission given to all believers in Christ." It is not the exclusive of Apostles, Prophetic, Evangelists, Pastors or Teachers" alone but every member in the body of Christ. To make Him known to those that do not know Him.

Christian witnessing is to declare the salvation that God has achieved in Jesus Christ to give hope to humanity. It is simply telling others what we have personally seen and experienced of the Lord Jesus. There are various verses in the Bible that tell us to witness for our Lord and Saviour as long as we live.

Witnessing is a command of our Lord Jesus Christ, we are duty bound to witness for Him because He died to accomplish our Redemption on the Cross and victoriously resurrected from the dead on the third day, thereafter, He told His disciples to witness to all creatures. Matt 28:19-He did not suggest it, but commanded it and commissioned us to go out and preach Him-and spread the news of Him to all the people of the World.

Are you witnessing for Him? Are you obeying this commandment? Are there people around you that have not known the way of the Lord and you look at them as if it does not concern you ? If you have truly been saved the spirit of the Lord in you will make you restless, until others have heard about Him.

Are there people who are sick that needs to hear that Jesus can heal them once they give their lives to Him? Tell someone about Jesus today and it shall be well with you.

James 1:1-8
[1] James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, To the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. 
[2] My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, 
[3] knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. 
[4] But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. 
[5] If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. 
[6] But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind. 
[7] For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord; 
[8] he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 26th December, 2025.

Today, we are going to look at the signs of wisdom and how to obtain God's wisdom. Every believer needs to know both.

The signs that a person has wisdom are as follows: (1) The ability to hold one's tongue - Proverbs 29:11. (2) The ability to make good decisions - Isaiah 30:21 (3) The ability to impact wisdom to others - 1 Kings 4:34. (4) The ability to lean on God in trials - Proverbs 3:5-6. (5) Ability to fight to fight one's and others' battles - Psalm 46:10.

Having established the significance, signs and benefits of God's wisdom, it is very important to learn how to obtain wisdom from God.

First, to obtain wisdom from God, you should admit that you lack it and for it from God. In James 1:5, the Bible says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him." Second, you should ask faithfully. James 1:6 says, "But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." Without faith, it is impossible to please God. Requests presented to God in faith will be granted because God honours faith. Third, to obtain wisdom from God, you be a God-fearing person. Psalm 111:10 says, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever. Fourth, you should be humble. The Psalmist affirms that the Lord lifts the humble and casts the wicked to the ground (Psalm 147:6). The word of God also says that God gives wisdom to the humble. Fifth, you should be prudent (Proverbs 8:12). Sixth, you should be peaceful and considerate (James 3:17). Seventh, you should know the Word of God and live by it (2 Timothy 3:15). Eighth, you should know your Lord better (Colossians 2:2-3). Nineth, you should preach and practise God's word (Colossians 3:16). Tenth, you should do your best to get wisdom.

Beloved, God's wisdom can make one wise man more powerful than ten rulers in a city (Ecclesiastes 7:19). It also preserves the life of its possessor (Ecclesiastes 7:12).

1. Father, give me the faith to obtain Your wisdom, in the name of Jesus.
2. My Father, give me the humility to obtain and retain Your wisdom, in the name of Jesus.
3. Powers that want to turn my wisdom to foolishness, die, in the name of Jesus.

4. Father, give me the wisdom to become a solution provider in my generation, in the name of Jesus.
5. As wisdom made Solomon and Daniel great, Father, let Your wisdom make me great, in the name of Jesus.
6. Father, let Your wisdom strengthen and empower me, in the name of Jesus.
7. O God, by Your mercy, let Your wisdom preserve and elongate my life, in the name of Jesus.
