MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 25th December, 2025.

Beloved, wisdom comes from God. Daniel said, "And he changeth the times and the seasons; he removeth kings and setteth up kings: he giveth wisdom unto the wise and knowledge to them that know understanding" The Bible adds that the LORD gives wisdom and from His mouth come knowledge and understanding (Proverbs 2:6). Also, God, the owner and giver of wisdom has promised to give it to those who ask. James 1:5 says, "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him." Similarly, the word of God says, "For I will give you a mouth and wisdom, which all your adversaries shall not be able to gainsay nor resist (Luke 21:15). Your knowledge of the fact that we serve a faithful God should drive you to pray, get wisdom from Him and enjoy its inestimable benefits.

The benefits of divine wisdom are unquantifiable. It is so precious and life-transforming that it should top the list of the rational things anyone should seek. That is why the Bible says that wisdom is the principal thing to get. Let us examine some of the benefits of divine wisdom.

First, wisdom delivers happiness to those who have and apply it. Proverbs 3:13-16 says, "Happy is the man that findeth wisdom, and the man that getteth understanding. For the merchandise of silver, and the gain thereof than fine gold. She is more precious than rubies: and all the things thou canst desire are not to be compared unto her. Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour." Wherever you see unhappiness, there is lack of wisdom there. Whatever God's word says, make sure that you do it. That will make you a wise person and you will be happy.

Wisdom also gives access to long life. Proverbs 3:16 say, "Length of days is in her right hand; and in her left hand riches and honour." It gives riches and honour. It gives peace and confers grace and glory.

Obedience to God's word will give you wisdom. The wiser you are, the more grace you will have. I enjoin you to get wisdom.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 24th December, 2025.

Truly, wisdom is profitable. We saw its transforming power and wonders in the life and reign of King Solomon. Wisdom also distinguished Daniel in the land of Babylon and accounted for his rising profile. The Bible says that in all matters of wisdom and understanding, the king found Daniel and his three Hebrew brothers ten times better than all the magicians and astrologers that were in all his realms (Daniel 1:20). Similarly, the wisdom of God distinguished Stephen, the first martyr. The Bible affirms that Stephen was committed to sharing the word of God and that the people who disputed with him were not able to resist the wisdom and the spirit by which he spoke (Acts 6:10). I pray that the oil of wisdom will come upon your head and you will be distinguished in this generation, in the name of Jesus.

Dear reader, wisdom also distinguished our Lord Jesus Christ. The Bible calls Him One greater than Solomon. Jesus is the power and the wisdom of God to all believers (1 Corinthians 1:24) and all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge are hidden in Him (Colossians 2:3). Wisdom was a noticeable and distinguishing feature in the life of Jesus right from childhood. Luke 2:40 says, "And the child grew, and waxed strong in spirit, filled with wisdom: and the grace of God was upon him." Similarly, excelling wisdom was a hallmark of Jesus' earthly ministry. Matthew 13:35 attests to this truth, "And when he was come into his own country, he taught them in their synagogue, insomuch that they were astonished, and said, Whence hath this man this wisdom, and these mighty works? As He did for Jesus, I pray that God will make you a positive wonder in this generation, in the name of Jesus.

Beloved, if you get divine wisdom as Solomon, Stephen, Daniel and Jesus did, your life and destiny will be glorious and full of testimonies. Wisdom from above is the spiritual ingredient that will make your marriage, career, business, ministry and all become colourful and fulfilled. I encourage you to pray God's wisdom into your life. It will enable you to reign in life!

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 23rd December, 2025.

Today, we will look further at the excelling characteristics of wisdom. The sixth thing we need to know about wisdom is that the Scriptures are its source. The Bible, referring to Timothy, affirms this through Apostle Paul in 2 Timothy 3:15, "And that from a child thou hast know the holy Scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus."

The seventh thing we need to know about wisdom is that it is full of spiritual fruits. All believers should covet these fruits. James 3:17 highlights them, "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." These wonderful fruits distinguish the wisdom of God from earthly wisdom which is foolishness to God (1 Corinthians 3:19).

Beloved, throughout the Bible, you will find that wisdom distinguished everyone that was fortunate to possess it. It distinguished Solomon so much that the Queen of Sheba came from her kingdom to see first-hand all she had heard about Solomon, his wisdom and kingdom. The testimony of the Queen of Sheba was that what she found when she met Solomon was far greater than all she heard about him.

Our Fire Scripture, Proverbs 4:29-34, paints it graphically, "And God gave Solomon wisdom and understanding exceeding much, and largeness of heart, even as the sand that is on the sea shore. Wisdom is the correct application of knowledge or information that comes through understanding. Knowledge delivers the provision or promise, understanding helps you to see the reality of that provision while wisdom helps you to experience the benefits of the provision. Wisdom is invaluable and indispensable in the life of every believer.

There is the wisdom of man or earthly wisdom and there is wisdom from above; that is the wisdom of God. The true wisdom from God is the one to which I refer here. First, let us dig deep into the Bible to learn about wisdom, its meaning and characteristics. When we truly gain this knowledge, we will value wisdom as we ought, seek it with all our hearts and use it for the betterment of our lives and destinies.

The first thing to know is that the fear of God constitutes wisdom. Being guided by God's consciousness and reverence births and develops true wisdom in man. Job 28:28 affirms this, "And unto man he said, Behold the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom: and to depart from evil is understanding." The second thing to know is that experience augments or adds to wisdom. The Bible buttresses this in Job 32:7, "I said, Days should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom." Third, the Bible affirms that wisdom that wisdom should be the believer's supreme acquisition. Proverbs 4:7 says, "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom; and with all thy getting get understanding." Fourth, divine wisdom enables the believer to understand divine truth. In Hosea 14:9, the Bible asks, "Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? Prudent, and he shall know them? For the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein."

The Bible says, "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock" (Matthew 7:24).

Fifth, wisdom helps the believer to lay an immovable foundation. In Matthew 7:24 Jesus said, "Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man which builteth his house on upon a rock." Beloved, get wisdom; it is the principal thing.

One thing a believer should always pray and guard against is spiritual dehydration as its consequences are very grave to the entire life of the believer.

Having understood the causes of dehydration, let us now look at its symptoms. Some of the symptoms are: thirst, headache, dry skin, muscle cramps, dry tongue and mouth etc. All these are very serious issues. No wonder Jesus was pleading passionately as reflected in our memory verse for today: In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink (John 7:37). The Master knew many would suffer undue hardship and unwarranted oppression as a result of spiritual dehydration.

What are the symptoms of spiritual dehydration? Evil spiritual thirst is the first symptom. This is when a person begins to crave and lust after those things the Lord forbids us from engaging in. Many Believers today have evil spiritual thirst for worldliness and sensual pleasure. Check yourself beloved whether there is evil thirst in your life.

Spiritual headache is another symptom. Figuratively speaking, headache speaks of trouble and stress of any form. A christian suffering from dehydration will have alot of headache to contend with from this world, satan and the old man. He may move from trouble to trouble from time to time. Dry skin spiritually as a symptom of spiritual dehydration talks of fading life. Spiritual dehydration will take the shine off one's life.

Dehydration is insufficient water in the body which could be mild or very serious, depending on the level of water one has in his or her body. In the same vein, spiritual dehydration is the insufficiency of the word of God and of the presence of the Holy Spirit in a Believer's life. This is the point I have been trying to bring to your understanding. You need to know that spiritual dehydration is not something you handle non-challantly. It is a critical condition that needs concerted attention.

Some of the causes of physical dehydration are fever, diarrhoea, vomiting, etc. Now bringing these symptoms into spiritual templates, they become spiritual fever, spiritual diarrhoea and spiritual vomiting.

Are you suffering from spiritual fever? Have you allowed the mosquitoes of sin and evil habits to bite you? Many Christians are suffering from this malady today because of their constant exposure to the mosquito and it is still killing several people.

Spiritual diarrhoea, especially the one connected to verbal indiscipline is a major problem. Alot of people have brought different kinds of problems upon themselves because of the wrong use if their tongues. Diarrhoea in the physical makes one lose fluid. Spiritual diarrhoea also causes dehydration because many are given to too much talking which drains them of grace and unction of the Holy Spirit.

Another cause of spiritual dehydration is spiritual vomiting. This happens when you have fed yourself with the wrong spiritual diet through watching of obscene movies, listening to polluted music or feasting on social media garbage. When you engage in any of these you throw up spiritually and get sapped. Are you dehydrated spiritually? It is a dangerous spiritual state. That is why God said: for I will pour water upon him that is thirsty... (Isaiah 44:3).

We started considering this topic yesterday. So far, we have emphasised the importance of water in the body and also from spiritual angle. God desires that His children are well hydrated in other for them to maintain robust spiritual health. For this to happen, utmost attention must be given to the Word of God: "My son, attend to my words; Incline thine ear unto my sayings. Let them not depart from thine eyes; Keep them in the midst of thine heart. For they are life unto those that find them, And health to all their flesh" (Proverbs 4:20-22).

The Word of God is symbolised by water as seen in Ephesians 5:26 and in other passages of the Bible. Unfortunately many Christians are not visiting the Spring of the water of the word consistently on daily basis. Are you drinking from this life-giving water from time to time? If you are not, you risk the challenge of spiritual dehydration. You need the Water of the Word to soften and break all your spiritual fallow ground. Inner purification is also made possible and weaknesses are also flushed out as you drink the water of the Word. Another thing is that the grip of evil habits is weakened and rendered powerless by this Water.

Another powerful source of spiritual hydration is the in-filling of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God quenches our thirst and positions us for great exploits with the Almighty God. The Holy Spirit quickens our dead spiritual cells like water that quickens and revives dead plants.

Just like physical dehydration is dangerous to human life, so also spiritual dehydration is very dangerous to the Christian life. Dehydration in the physical could lead to serious health complications. In the spiritual also, dehydration can also give birth to a lot of spiritual ailments.

Water is life is a popular saying in our contemporary times. Of course, water is life! From biological and physiological contexts, it has been established that seventy-five percent of our bodily composition is water. Our cells, tissues, organs, systems, blood etc need water to function well. The human brain also needs water to function effectively. Water in the body regulates and maintains temperature and all our bodily functions.

Now, imagine what will happen to a person whose body lacks sufficient water. The state of insufficient water in the body is called dehydration. This could lead to serious health issues if not properly handled. Physical dehydration is dangerous to our well-being.

You need to know that as there is Physical dehydration, there is also SPIRITUAL DEHYDRATION. The Bible uses Water to symbolise both the Holy Spirit (Isa. 55:1; John 7:39) and the Word of God (Eph. 5:26; Tit. 2:5). What I am trying to tell you is that Spiritual Dehydration is even worse than the physical one. The Almighty God wants all His children to be well hydrated so as to be able to function optimally in every facet of their spiritual life.

Therefore, to be well hydrated spiritually, you need to saturate your life with the Word of God, Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom... (Colossians 3:16) and with the Holy Spirit, ...be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18). The Word of God in your life and the manifest presence of the Holy Spirit in you, just like natural water in the body, will help regulate and maintain your spiritual temperature and functions.

The word of God cleanses the heart, the imagination and the thought pattern of the Believer who daily drinks from the Fountain of the Word of life. As you take in this spiritual water every day, your spirit-man is well lubricated to avoid internal pressure and friction which could damage your spiritual life.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 17th December, 2025.

We have learnt about the causes of unity and some of its negative effects. Today, we will consider the fruits of unity.

The first fruit of unity is that it makes it possible for people to work together for a common goal. Amos 3:3 says, "Can two walk together, except they be agreed." Marriage, career, ministry, friendship, partnership and collaborations will not yield the right dividend if the partners involved are not united in purpose and going in the same direction. Matthew 18:19-20 further underscores an important benefit of unity, "Where two or three are gathered in my name, There I am in the midst of them." It shows that the Lord loves and encourages unity among the brethren. Similarly, on the day of Pentecost, the Bible affirms that there was an atmosphere of unity that marked the arrival or descent of the Blessed Holy Spirit. The Bible says that the disciples were all with one accord in one place (Acts 2:1). In Philippians 1:27, Paul enjoined us to stand fast in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel.

The second fruit of unity is that it produces strength. There is strength in unity. Those who are united will stand, upheld by the hand of the Almighty while those who are divided will fall. In Judges 20:11, the Bible records that the army of Israel were gathered against the city of the Benjamites and were knit or united together as one man. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 and 12 says, "Two are better than one... for if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow. If one prevail against him, two shall withstand the foe and a three-fold cord is not... broken."

The third dividend of unity is called the good fruit of united outreach. In Acts 2:1-2 and 41, the believers were all with one accord in one place and they were filled with the Holy Spirit. In addition, they witnessed and 3,000 souls were saved.

Beloved, now you can see why Jesus prayed for the unity of the Church in John 17:11, 21-23. We should be one body, working together unitedly!

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 16th December, 2025.

Today, we will further examine the causes of disunity in various institutions and strata of the society. My prayer is that God will establish unity among the saints and His purpose for mankind will be fully achieved, in the name of Jesus.

Bitterness is another root cause of disunity. Bitterness defiles and God warns all believers against giving it any room in their lives. Hebrews 12:15 says, "Lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled." The gall of bitterness is destructive and divisive. It filled King Saul's heart and he pursued David for years, bent on killing the young man, but God did not allow it. Dear reader, avoid bitterness at all cost. Anger and quick temper also lead to disunity. Proverbs 29:22 says, "An angry man stirreth up strife, and a furious man aboundeth in transgression." There are many Christians that are still struggling with uncontrollable temper. They are poor learners. It was anger that ruined the illustrious career and ministry of Moses. Where anger reigns, disunity will also reign. You must pray anger out of your life so that you be God's agent of peace.

The habit of repeating things we know we shouldn't cause disunity. Why do you have to open a wound that is healing? Proverbs 17:9 says that he that repeateth a matter separates friends. Closely related to this is the fact that talebearers are enemies of unity. You should avoid them. The Bible says that where there is no tale bearer, the strife will cease (Proverbs 26:20).

Finally, the inability to stop arguing gives birth to disunity. That is why the Bible counsels us that the beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water and that we should leave off contention. Proverbs 20:3 also says that it is an honour to cease from strife. Dearly beloved, avoid unnecessary argument, contention and strife. Let unity, love and peace reign. When there is disunity, people will not be able to work together (Amos 3:3). Acts 15:36-40 proves this between Paul and Barnabas. This can destroy the work of God. Let us avoid disunity.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 15th December, 2025.

We are called to be ambassadors of unity, peace and progress. It is when we remove disunity far from our camp that we will enjoy the benefits of unity. That is why we will continue to look at other causes of disunity in our discourse today.

Hatred and ill feeling are major causes of disunity. We should not allow hatred, bitterness and ill feeling to grow in the garden of our lives. That is why Proverbs 10:12 says that hatred stirs up strifes: but love covers up all sins. Also, Proverbs 26:24 says, "He who hates disguises it with his lips and lays up deceit within himself." Another cause of disunity is envy and jealousy. The Bible affirms that where envy is, there is every evil work (James 3:13-14). It also says love does not envy and does not vaunt itself (1 Corinthians 13:4). Galatians 5:26 add, "Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another." Disunity also often arises where there is favouritism and partiality. In Acts 6:1, the Bible records that there arose murmuring among the Grecians against the Hebrews because the Grecian widows were neglected. This was in the early church, and the apostles had to deal with the issue.

Self-exaltation and desire for leadership also cause disunity. Numbers 12:1-5 shows that Miriam and Aaron rebelled against Moses, desiring power. Numbers 16:1-35 provides an account of Korah's rebellion against Moses, desiring leadership. In Luke 22:24, there was strife among the disciples of Jesus on who should be the greatest. Lastly, 3 John 1:9-11 mentions Diotrephes who loved to have preeminence among the brethren and promoted disunity.

In 1 Timothy 6:3-5, Apostle Paul warned the brethren about false teachers who love to dote about questions and strifes of words, thereby causing strife and disunity. Beloved, the unity of the brethren, families as well as the peaceful co-existence of nations of the world is of paramount importance to God. Don't allow the enemy to lure you into strife and disunity through any of his baits and antics. You are Christ's ambassador of peace and unity!

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 14th December, 2025.

God wants us to have unity. He also wants us to promote unity wherever we are. We are ambassadors of Christ. God's word is clear on this. Psalm 133:1 says, "Behold, how good and pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" He also said that there should be no divisions among you, but be perfectly joined together in the same mind (1 Corinthians 1:10). Similarly, 2 Corinthian 13:11 says, "Be ye of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you."

The Holy Spirit does not operate where there is disunity and strife. Disunity hinders progress and development, both spiritual and physical. Disunity promotes chaos and disorder and hinders peaceful co-existence. In Proverbs 6:16 and 19, the Bible says that God hates anyone that sows discord among the brethren. The same Holy Book also says that if you have strife in your heart, you should not glory because strife does not descend from above but is of the devil (James 3:13-14).

Beloved, having learnt that God hates disunity and enjoins us to promote oneness, let us look at the causes of disunity. This will enable us to avoid becoming its agent. First, pride and lust is a major cause of disunity. Proverbs 13:10 says that only by pride comes contention. Proverbs 28:25 adds that he that is of a proud heart stirreth up strife and James 4:1-3 affirms that strife comes from people's lusts. Dear reader, avoid pride and lust the same way you avoid a plague.

Second, disunity comes from not walking in the Spirit. It is a sign of carnality. Galatians 5:19-21 identifies hatred, wrath and strife (among others) as works of the flesh. Similarly, 1 Corinthians 3:3 says, "Ye are carnal: there is among you strife and divisions." Have you been involved in hatred wrath, strife and divisions in your family, neighbourhood, workplace or church? You are not being a good ambassador of Christ. Repent today!

Our greatest desire, as believers should be to become like Christ who laid down His life to destroy the walls of partition that divided mankind. He brought unity and peace that the world needed greatly. He also prayed for the church and the unity of believers. We should all follow His example.
