MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 10th December, 2025.

Yesterday, we identified five key areas that parents can serve as good shepherds to their children and discussed two. Today, we will look at the remaining three areas.

The third way a parent can shepherd his or her children is by guiding and motivating them to serve God and make right choices in life. How can a parent achieve this good-shepherd role? First, it is by being his or her children's best example in serving God. It is by becoming a parent they can imitate. Paul said, "Imitate me as in imitate Christ." Your life and values must a good epistle for them to read and obey. You must guide them to a good pasture (Ezekiel 34:13-14). Attend church with them regularly and ensure that they are being spiritually fed with God's word and prayer. Let them know that you serve God in church in one or two capacities with your gift and they will follow in your steps.

Similarly, as a good shepherd, it is your parental responsibility to protect your children. Moses' mother defied Pharaoh's order and hid her baby (Exodus 2:1-2). Similarly, in Matthew 2:13-22, Joseph was warned of God to flee into Egypt with Mary and Baby Jesus, and only to return when it was safe. This responsibility of protecting children spans both the physical and spiritual areas of life. During the Passover in Egypt, it was parents who ensured that the children and wards were well protected by applying the blood of the lamb upon the doorpost and the lintel of their homes.

Dear parent, you must defend your children from spiritual wolves satan and his demons. In Nehemiah 4:14, the Bible says, "Remember the Lord, which is great and terrible, and fight for your brethren, your sons, and your daughters, your wives, and your houses." Remember that you are to imitate the Good Shepherd who gave His life for the sheep (John 10:11-13).

Fulfilling God's demand of shepherding your children is achievable. The reason is that God has promised to help you. He said, "I will contend with him that contendeth with thee and I will save thy children (Isaiah 49:24-25). Isn't it that wonderful?

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 9th December, 2025.

Parents are expected to live and act as good shepherds to their children. They are to be committed to the physical and spiritual well-being of their children. It is their responsibility to raise them in line with God's standards, spend quality time with them, find those who stray and bring them back to the flock as well as guide and protect them. Dear parent, are you fulfilling your responsibility to raise your children in discipline and admonition of God as enshrined in Ephesians 6:4?

Nowadays, children are faced with an onslaught of satanic agenda and propaganda as well as with their own imperfect inclinations (2 Timothy 2:22; 1 John 2:16). Five things are vital for you to shepherd your children - know them, feed them, guide them, protect them, and defend them. Let us look at each of these one after the other.

As a parent, being a good shepherd to your children requires that you make yourself available and approachable to them. You should spend quality time with them and patiently listen to them (James 1:19). Good shepherds who desire to please God in parenting will create time for this, no matter how busy they may be. By so doing, you will fulfil the Bible's demand in Proverbs 27: 23, "Know well the appearance of your flock." Also, by so doing, you will ascertain who is healthy (physically and spiritually) and who is not and give the appropriate help.

Also, as a parent, you shepherd your children by feeding them physically and spiritually. Sometimes, a sheep strays from the flock when it is attracted by green grass. In a similar way, a child could drift away on a spiritually dangerous path, being tempted by harmful association or degrading entertainment (Proverbs 13:20). It is your responsibility, as a parent, to prevent such a situation from developing. You must identify your children's weak spots and correct them. Also, identify and help them to strengthen their Christian qualities or values (2 Peter 1:5-8). The regular period for family worship is an excellent time to do that. Ensure that all your children participate in and contribute to the family worship. Feeding your children spiritual, particularly by means of family worship, is a primary way that you can be a good shepherd.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 8th December, 2025.

It is a good thing to always give thanks to the Lord, because He is the owner of our lives and He created us for His pleasure. The Bible says, "Let everything that has breathe praise the Lord (Psalm 150:6.)

There are so many ways we can thank the Lord for His mercies in our lives. One of the best ways is to praise and worship Him constantly. You don't need to be a music person to worship God. It all starts from your heart. You begin to recount His many blessings in your life and let your heart appreciate Him for His goodness. We worship God in songs, music, and even in our attitudes. We praise Him by lifting up our hands and singing praises to His holy name.

What is your favourite way to praise the Lord? Get a way that interests you to give thanks to God always. As a Christian, you are likely to have a sense of gratitude when you think about the power and greatness of God. Expressing those feelings is the beginning of giving thanks to the Lord.

You can thank the Lord by prayer of praises. This type of prayer starts by addressing God directly. You begin by recounting His personal attributes that make Him God: His mercy, power, faithfulness and righteousness. You continue to thank and praise Him for His numerous goodness to your life from birth, the grace that saved your soul from eternal damnation are all benefits we cannot thank God enough for all our lives. For by grace you were saved and not by any work you have done (Ephesians 8:9).

Ingratitude is the worst of vices. You must develop your life of praise until you become praise in the earth. Appreciating God will make your life to be appreciated and increase the grace of God upon your life. When you are confronted with cares and worries in the world, remember the greatness and goodness of God in your life and your worries will become worship. In addition, thank Him for bringing you safely to the end of the year.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 7th December, 2025.

In continuation of our discourse yesterday, you should be seen to demonstrate and manifest heavenly standard of doing things; that is, Christlike character, the very nature and behaviour of God. You should conform to these and not to the world, its vices and vanities. Whoever loves the world and gets conformed with the way of the world is gradually going into the way of destruction. James 4:4 tells us this: You cannot be a friend of the world and be a friend of God at the same time. Rather, stand out for God in the midst of the world and its negativity. Refuse to conform, decide to be different, just like Daniel and Joseph.

To be conformed to Christ means to live by the leading of the Holy Spirit; dead to the flesh but alive to cultivate and manifest the fruit of the Spirit according to Galatians 5:22-23. This fruit is an evidence of a transformed personality in Christ. You consistently make efforts to do away with any behaviour, mindset or attitude that contradicts the word of God, you put off the old man and his habits and then put on the new man, "But now ye also put off all these; anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy communication out of your mouth..... And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him" (Colossians 3:8, 10)

As you go through life at home, in your work place and everywhere you go, refuse this ungodly conformity to the world. Do not compromise in anyway: your reputation, your integrity, your salvation or your eternity. It means a lot to God! Be conformed to Christ and Him alone and be known to be a child of God, an ambassador of the heavenly kingdom. Let heaven be proud of you. Alleluia!

MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday, 6th December, 2025.

What does it mean to be conformed? It means to be adapted or adjusted to a particular standard, behaviour or way of life. Conformity shows your ability to do and behave in a particular way over a set time. The world has its standards and ways of behaving and doing things. It expects those who live in it to do the same. The same is expected of children of God. In the kingdom of God, there are set standards and rules and it is expected that we should conform to these ways of life. Especially, if truly we are children of God. Jesus is the Way, the Truth and the Life, no one gets to the Father except through Him. If you are a child of the Kingdom of God, you must necessarily be conformed to Christ who is The Way.

Do you claim to be born again and yet you live and behave according to the standard of the world? Do you think, talk and do things just as it is done in the world? Then, something is wrong somewhere. Though we are in the world, yet we are not of this world. 1 John 2:15-17: tells us "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."

Our citizenship is of heaven, we are seated in Christ in the heavenly places, far above principalities and powers according to scriptures. If this is your heavenly position, then it would be out of place to be conformed to the ways of the world. Conformity is a kind of compromise, showing that you agree and accept and align with that view, that perspective of doing things. As a genuinely born again Christian, you must exude kingdom standards, qualities, attitudes, values and behaviours. According to the fire scripture, you are to set your mind on the things above, not those below.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 5th December, 2025.

The word of the Lord is coming to you today to strengthen your heart in case you are discouraged, disappointed, overwhelmed or in any way losing grip on life. There is still hope for you. All hopes are not lost. As long as Jesus lives, hold on still and you will be able to face tomorrow. He is our Sure Anchor when there is storm in the sea. He would not allow the ship of His children's lives to capsize. Sometimes it might look as if He is not there, but only if you believe and trust Him, you would soon testify that Jesus is there when all seem bleak. He is working on your behalf and watching you silently to see how much you believe. He will never allow you to be destroyed no matter the situation. Simply believe!

Hope is intimately connected to faith. When your faith is dwindling, then you are losing hope. But when you are strongly holding on and not letting go, then your faith is strengthened. A hopeless man or woman is a faithless person. I pray your faith would not fail you, in Jesus' name. The afflictions of life are many and diverse in nature and occurrence, but God is able to deliver His children from it all (Ps. 34:19). In the same vein, Jesus gave us an open cheque of divine relief in John 16:33, " In this world ye shall see tribulations, but be of good cheer.......". He has settled it ahead; you are to enter into that rest with faith in Him.

Decide today to run back to Jesus if you have departed and you are feeding your worries. Ask Him to forgive you and get reconnected to Him. With Him all things are possible. He will restore your hopes, renew your strength and you will be able to achieve greater heights by His grace and power. Isaiah 40:31 says, "But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint".

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 4th December, 2025.

Today's Fire Scripture is an express proof that no one is immune to life's troubles. Apostle Paul was one man who laboured for the kingdom right from after conversion with all his might, yet, he had a big share of life's troubles. Even in kingdom service, he went through so much that was enough to break his spirit and cause him to lose hope and possibly turn back. But he never did. He held on still even in the face of death and threatening situations. He kept trusting in Him, Christ in us, the Hope of glory!

However, he did not pretend or deny his troubles. He confessed how he felt, but made us know that he draws hope and strength to carry on from Jesus. This is the same thing you should do whenever you feel overwhelmed. Rather, than give in or give up, cry to God for more grace. Look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. Refuse to let go! Hold on tenaciously and regain faith and strength; fresh grace, fresh fire, renewed hope and strength and you will become a new man/new woman like the apostles of old.

These times would definitely come at some point in time in our lives. They are trying times to prove to us and in us that we are sincerely anchored to the Sure Place. On who do you place your hope and trust my brother/sister? Is it in yourself, your ability to think, plan, rationalise and execute things? Is it in your academic prowess, business or economic achievements, wealth, beauty, position or power? All these would fail you! The only and major source of strength and hope is Christ Jesus. He already sees and knows what you are going through and bow best to meet your needs at that point and resolve issues. Sitting down to grumble, complain bitterly and weep would not solve matters. Simply go back to the feet of the Cross, turn to Jesus and draw strength. He will help you to stand and move on while others are down and falling according Psalm 20:7-8.

God owns the breath in your nostrils. Without His breath or life, you are as good as the dry bones Prophet Ezekiel saw in the valley. God, your Creator, Sustainer and Nourisher, deserves your continuous praise. That is why in Psalm 148, the Psalmist called on mankind, angels, the sun, the moon, the stars, fruitful trees and all to praise their makers. Giving continuous praise to God is not an option but a duty you must daily perform.

Science reveals that a human being breathes 12-20 times in a minute and 20,000 times in a day. This wonderful work is not credited to science but to God our Creator. He truly deserves our gratitude, praise and worship.

Also, praising God should not be done hastily or hapharzadly. It should be planned, deliberate and done with reverence to God. This is a part of the attitude adjustment we need. Giving God quality praise should be something we love, enjoy doing and always look forward to. We shouldn't see it as a burden or something we are compelled to do. Do you derive joy in praising and worshipping God? If you do, you will specially create time for it and will never miss the divine appointment to pray to God and praise Him. Praise has been used to change several very unpleasant situations to pleasant ones. Praise has produced thousands of ear-tingling testimonies in the lives of believers. This is because God inhabits the praise of His children.

Arise and put Psalm 134 into action. It is a clarion call, Psalmist meant everyone the Lord has saved, preserved and blessed as well as everyone who appreciates His goodness. Such grateful people are called to bless (praise and worship) the Lord, day and night, in their prayer closets, in the church, everywhere. How? They are to lift up their hands, use harp and timbrel and percussion instruments, etc to extol the King of kings and the Lord of lords. The Bible affirms that those who honour this call will get a great reward: the Lord that made heaven and earth will bless them out of Zion. The right attitude towards praise will bring great rewards.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 2nd December, 2025.

Yesterday, we noted that many believers are missing out on the wonderful benefits of praise and that heaven is not happy about that. We also identified that the reason such people are not enjoying the blessings of praise is their wrong attitude, and advocated praise attitude adjustment.

People's wrong attitude towards praise and the attendant consequences are due to two reasons. First, such people do not know the values or benefits of praise. Hence, they abuse and under-utilise it. Second, they do not know how to praise God. Therefore, we will now address these two issues.

The wonders of praise cannot be overestimated. We are created to praise and worship God. The spirit beings in heaven are devoted to praise and worship (Revelation 4 and 5). With our praise, we throw the spotlight on our God who deserves to be glorified. The more we put the spotlight on Him, the more He causes us to shine. Praise grants us intimacy with God. It is the antidote and cure to depression, discouragement, failure, defeat, pain and sorrow, especially in the last days that are characterised by disturbing events and signs. Praise brings God into every situation. It opens prison doors and sets prisoners free. It wins battles. It brings healing. It releases the anointing, brings solutions and breaks yokes. It is a formidable weapon of warfare for wise and discerning believers. Dear reader, I enjoin you to develop the right praise attitude. Cultivate a lifestyle of daily and continuous praise to God. You will experience the power of God's abiding, indwelling and empowering presence.

How should you praise God? Knowing this will also help you to develop the right attitude towards praise and make it a lifelong habit. Praise has many forms of expression. Psalm 150 outlines nine different ways to praise God. You can speak, shout, sing, clap your hands or raise them. You can play musical instruments; you can stand, kneel or dance. Whichever of these or a combination of these you choose, just make sure you give God heart-felt worship and high praise continually. Praise God for who He is (Psalm 150:1). Praise His name (Psalm 113:1; Psalm 135:1-3). Praise His mighty acts (Psalm 150:2). Praise Him ever more!

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 1st December, 2025.

Wise and mature believers are both prayerful and praiseful. Prayer and praise are parts of the saints' winning strategies. Prayer and praise brought the power of God into the Philippian prison where Paul and Silas were kept in chains. The power of God opened all prison doors and loosed every prisoner's chains. Today, many believers pray but only few have discovered the power and wonders of praise. That is why many still exhibit poor attitude towards praise and under-utilise the powerful weapon. In case your attitude towards praise is poor, you should adjust it today.

Beloved, your praise attitude counts. It will determine whether your praise will be acceptable or not. God inhabits the praise of His people when it is offered the right way and with the right attitude. God's house is a house of prayer and praise! Many people go to church service during the time the sermon will start. To them, that is when service actually starts. The period in the service when the congregation praise God and sing hymns and choruses to worship God is not important to them. They are wrong. The Bible enjoins us to praise the Lord our God in His sanctuary and in the firmament of His power (Psalm 150:1). Similarly, Psalm 107:32 enjoins us to exalt Him in the congregation of the people and praise Him in the assembly of elders. Those who belittle praise and its wonderful blessings in the church do so to their own detriment. Sometimes, angels come to distribute gifts that money cannot buy during the praise and worship session. Thousands of people have missed their days of visitation by their avoidable absence during praise and worship sessions in church services. Dear reader, if you are guilty of this, you must change!

As we begin the twelfth month of the year 2025, we should look back and count our blessings. As believers, our right attitude should be to express great gratitude and offer quality praise to God who has kept us and prospered us in the last eleven months. He has also brought us safely to the twelfth month. Dear reader, if you have only been complaining and apportioning blame for what you have not achieved instead of praising God for what you have, you need praise attitude adjustment!

3. Cover every step you shall take this month with the blood of Jesus.

4. Speak to the month to cooperate with your destiny.

5. Command the blessings of the Lord upon yourself.

6. Reject every satanic interference into your life this month.

7. I reject every evil carry over, by the power in the blood of Jesus.

8. Owners of evil load of 2025, carry your load, you shall not enter the new year with me, in the name of Jesus.

10. End of the year sorrow, my life is not your candidate, die, in the name of Jesus.

11. End of the year tragedy, go back to your senders, in the name of Jesus.

14. All my blessings attached to year 2025, you shall not go with this year, locate me by fire, in the name of Jesus.

15. By the mercy of God, I position myself for divine intervention, in the name of Jesus.

16. My body organs, hear the word of the Lord, reject the voice of death, in the name of Jesus.

17. Powers assigned to make me shed tears when others are celebrating, you are a liar, die, in the name of Jesus.

18. My Father, arise and empower the eagle of my life and destiny to fly high, in the name of Jesus.

19. Make a personal request of what you want God to do for you as you enter into another year.

20. Pray for your local church, Pastors and Ministers.

2 Chronicles 5:11-14

[11] And it came to pass, when the priests were come out of the holy place: (for all the priests that were present were sanctified, and did not then wait by course: 

[12] also the Levites which were the singers, all of them of Asaph, of Heman, of Jeduthun, with their sons and their brethren, being arrayed in white linen, having cymbals and psalteries and harps, stood at the east end of the altar, and with them an hundred and twenty priests sounding with trumpets:) 

[13] it came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD; 

[14] so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 30th November, 2025.

Praise is the cure to the "dry times" that come to every believer. in our memory verse for today (Numbers 21:16-20), the praise of God caused waters to flow from a well. Note these four truths: (1) God's instruction to us - "Gather the people together." There is unity and power in corporate gathering (2) God's promise? "I will give them water" (life) (3)The people's responsibility was to sing. The Bible says that they sang, "Spring up o well! All of you sing to it." (4) Our lesson is this: in times of pressure, anxiety or depression, do not stay alone. Gather with God's people, especially a praising people. Regardless of your personal feelings, sing to your well-the living God. Let your song be one of thanksgiving for past blessings and a song of faith for the present and the future!

This first example shows that praising God in the unity and power of corporate gathering will bring God's power and miracle down for you. Giving God thanks, praises and worship ceaselessly can turn your dry season to season of fruitfulness and abundance, turn your parched ground to pools of water and make you a watered garden whose waters fail not. Quality praise can turn open a closed womb and make it bear prolifically. Quality praise can move you from obscurity to limelight. It did for David. The unknown shepherd boy became a national hero. Why? He knew how to praise God. When you give quality time to praising God, all your blocked wells will be unblocked and your dry wells will produce water.

Similarly, our Fire Scripture for today (2) Chronicles 5:11-14) shows that there is power in corporate praise. Praise brings down the glory of God. Do you want the temple of your life to be consistently filled with the glory of God this year? Make giving God high and quality praise a daily habit. The glory of God will attract the best that God has reserved for His saints to your life. Remember that Solomon praised God and experienced His presence before he prayed to God for the dedication of the temple. It was because God's presence was already visible that the prayer got quick answer from heaven-God's holy fire fell!

1. I deploy high praise to God as cure for dry times, in the name of Jesus.

2. O God, arise and provide rivers in my desert, in the name of Jesus.
