MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday, 25th October, 2025.

Studies have shown that children respond to the behavioural examples set and reflect on the emotions express by their parents. In other words, children do as their parents in everything. Being calm different situations and responding in love teaches our children to be calm, cool, collected in trying situations, responding in love. As parents, we teach our children in thoughts, word and deeds and we are accountable to God for what we teach and how we teach our children.

Like Jesus, we must be Godly models to our children. We should teach them about Jesus and then be like Jesus in our behaviour, character and attitude (Matthew 5:48). God loves, forgives and has been there for us in our rebellion and repentance and final submission to His will. So, we also can be there for our children, loving them no matter what and forgiving them when they repent and finally submit to our righteous will.

Luke 1:6 says that Zacharias and Elisabeth were righteous. They did not just talk it, they walked the talk and that is why they are called righteous in God's eyes. As parents, we should do the same so that our children can understand righteousness over time as they see us sacrifice our pride by obeying God and His word. The Bible says that with God all things are possible (Luke 1:37). Even our disobedient, stubborn and rebellious child can become obedient, respectful and cool-headed.

Dear parent, do not ever give up on your child. No matter what the devil may be doing in your child's life, keep praying and believing God for a positive change in his or her life. Declare war against the devil and his demons. Don't focus on flesh and blood (a man or woman somewhere). Put on the whole armour of God and go to God's armoury, get the appropriate weapons and launch the offensive against the enemy and his cohorts. His agenda for you and your children must be frustrated. As you pray consistently and take the enemy to the court of heaven, God will release angels of fire to judge and destroy the adversaries. Beloved, let your children learn spiritual warfare from you. Let them know that Christ made us overcomers by His finished works on the cross at Calvary.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 24th October, 2025.

The parable in our Fire Scripture today tells us about a son who rebelled against the authority of his father. He demanded for his own inheritance when his father was still alive. He got it, walked away and squandered it. After this, his life became miserable and he started to beg. Eventually, he realised his condition, made up his mind to go back home and plead for forgiveness. The father was compassionate and full of mercy. He embraced, accepted and received his repented son back to his house.

From the above story, every parent should have large heart and forgiving spirit to overlook the sins of their children and pardon them from their hearts. Children could be stubborn disobedient and rebellious to their parents' instructions and authorities. Our hearts as parents should be full of mercy, love and compassion. We should always have tender hearts toward our erring children and show them love of Christ. Christian parents should try and lead their children to Christ, home being the first church of a child,

As a parent, your prayer life is the main saving grace for your children. There is an ongoing war. The devil wants your children for destruction. He wants them to fail. He wants to fulfil his evil agenda in their lives. It is up to you, whether he succeeds or fails. Your responsibilities do not stop at providing them food, paying their school fees and clothing them. You must be a praying father or praying mother. The devil is interested in their destiny. So, always stand in the gap for your children. Heaven will reward you handsomely for doing so. Perhaps, if the father of the prodigal son had been praying fervently for the children, he would not have misbehaved as he did. Similarly, the father could have interceded so much to trigger angels to go after the young man and bring him back home. Dear parent, one lesson you should learn here is that you should begin to pray for your children before they are conceived, while they are in the womb and throughout their lifetime. Your prayer for them is priceless. When you do this, there is a guarantee that you too will live your old age in peace and blessings, thanking God everyday.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 23rd October, 2025.

Foolishness is bound in the heart of a child; but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him.

The Psalmist said that children are a heritage of the Lord. In other words, God owns every child; parents are only stewards. Therefore, as stewards, parents are expected to carry out some responsibilities on God's heritage put in their care. It is the responsibility of parents to provide and take care of the physical needs of their children. They are to love and protect their children. Parents are to educate and discipline their children. Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old, he will not depart from it (Proverb 22:6).

Parents are to show good example to their children in all things. Lois and Eunice, the grandmother and mother of Timothy respectively, gave proper training to their son, Timothy. They trained him the laws of God and instilled in him the fear of God. In the training of members of his household, God had confidence in Abraham (Genesis 18:19).

Every child has the tendency to be wayward. It is the responsibility of the parents to rise up to the challenges of parenting and stop the forces of waywardness in fervent prayers, say no to the vices their wards or children may want to manifest. The Bible says, foolishness is bound in the heart of a child: but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him (Proverbs 22:15). The parents (father and mother) must agree and speak with one voice when it comes to matters of training their children.

Beloved, your responsibilities to your children are numerous. You are not expected to fail in any area. Ensure that you train your child in the way of the Lord. Lead them to the Lord and make yourself the perfect epistle they read daily. Let them be able to follow and serve Christ. Be a good mirror of a Christ follower to them. Their spiritual lives must be excellent. So, also must their physical, academic, career and social lives. Let Christ be the epicentre of the lives. When you succeed in doing this, no matter where they go, they will stand for Christ as Daniel and his three brothers did as slave boys in Babylon.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 22nd October, 2025.

It is a common thing to see or hear dead parents of leaving behind for their children money or properties. This is called inheritance or legacy. There are few cases where dead parents lett debts and deficit for their children. The wife of a dead prophet with two of her sons in the book of 2 Kings 4 inherited debt from her husband. In 2 Timothy 1:5, Lois and Eunice, the grandmother and mother of Timothy bequeathed a Godly legacy for their son. They communicated their strong Christian faith to Timothy.

As parents, what type of legacy or inheritance are you passing to your children? You can only give or bequeath what you have to your children or family members. Some parents are known for their drunkenness, smoking, pool betting, cultism, adultery, lying, anger, falsehood, and so on. Light attracts light. Be a shining example to your children and family members. Christian parents should not hide their light at home. Our families are fertile grounds to plant gospel seeds. Let your loved ones know and learn of your faith in Christ Jesus and see Christ's love and joy in you.

In Proverbs 13:22a, the Bible says that a good man leaveth an inheritance for his children's children..." What godly legacy you can bequeath to your children, as a good Christian? While your high-rise building and exotic cars as well as businesses are commendable and worthwhile legacies, such inheritance as good name, godly lifestyle and the Christ-like character they learnt from you will count for this life and eternity. Some parents who bequeathed bad name, occultism, debt and son on for their children did so out of ignorance. Today, their children are battling with the problem of evil foundation. You should learn from then and not imitate them. Be wise!

As a godly parent, the legacy you should bequeath to your children are not just money and land and houses. Rather, leave for them godly spiritual foundation, good name and honour, heritage of faith, godly values and principles, and so on.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 21st October, 2025.

In this context, mystery means something that baffles understanding and cannot be explained. Help means making something easier or possible to achieve. It also means the fulfilment of a need or purpose. So, when help is divine, it means it emanates from God. 

Therefore, Divine help means help from above. From the Fire Scripture for today, we can deduce that principalities and powers are in the second heaven and they are positioned to block prayers of people and answers from God. Human rulers of darkness of this world are here on earth to prevent and, if possible, stop us from praying. God created the heaven and the earth and everything in them belong to Him. He is a jealous God and will not share His glory with men. The devil gives. Man can also give, but perfect help and gift can only come from God to those who belong to Him. The devil and the world do want you to have what you deserve. God's wish is that you should be prosperous, because He is the only One that knows what you need. He has given you a destiny that must be fulfilled and only He knows what you need to fulfil your destiny. Also, Jesus promised us help from above (the Holy Spirit) when He was going back to the Father. No man has the power to help you; only God does. Due to all these, if you want to succeed in life and make heaven at last, you must look up to heaven for your help.

The consequences of seeking help from beneath or looking up to man or ungodly sources for help are grave and disastrous. They include: disappointment, failure, sickness, affliction, poverty, mockery, disgrace, bondage, lateness in good things, trouble, murmuring and death. This is the reason why God instructed the Israelites in the wilderness, "Look up to the serpent and ye shall live." When they looked down away from the serpent unto man, they died.

We are to be born again genuinely and let our eyes be fixed on God for all our needs. Beloved, when you look up to heaven for your need, you shall receive genuine help; angels shall work for you to dislodge the devil as well as principalities and powers in the heavenly places for your sake. Heaven shall open unto you and warrior angels shall be on assignment for your sake. You shall have divine insurance and protection. You shall celebrate here on earth and be favoured.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 20th October, 2025.

What readily comes to mind while considering this topic is the statement that "without the cross, there may be no crown." In other words, if a man does not venture, he may have no gain. Similarly, as sowing proceeds harvesting, so is rest sweet after labour. No wonder a Yoruba adage says, "A pot must have witnessed a lot of heat to carry edible and sweet soup."

Economists, on the other hand, say the opportunity cost of a product is the price that is forgone. Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, in His mission, affirmed this great truth when he said, "Verily, verily I say unto you, except a corn or cereal fall into the ground and dies, it brings much fruit. He that loveth his life shall lose it, and he that hateth his life in this world shall keep it unto life eternal" (John 2: 24-25).

The Bible itself is full of numerous issues of having great reward after much sacrifice. To drum home this great truth, two examples of sacrifices will suffice. King Solomon (the richest man that ever traversed this earth) offered a thousand burnt offering (great price) before he received the gift of vision and understanding and later got riches and honour he never asked for (great reward) from God (1 King 3:4, 9-13). Similarly, our Creator, the Almighty and all- knowing God, exemplified this truth when He gave His only begotten son (Jesus) as a ransom, in order for Him to gain the whole world (John 3:16).

Therefore, for one to gain eternal life, one is expected to give his or her life to Christ (be born again genuinely). To go to heaven is a great reward we should all seek. Similarly, to be successful in this world and fulfil our destinies, we must abide by the truth (great price) in the midst of all persecution and discouragement. So, rise up, take your cross and follow Him to seek the kingdom of God (Luke 9:62). The ultimate reward of our service to God here on earth is heaven. I pray you will not miss it.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 19th October, 2025.

The story of a man called Elijah in the Bible revealed to us a man that was consumed with passion to stand for the truth always. Verse 22 of our Fire Scripture for today reads, "Then said Elijah unto the people, I even I only, remain a prophet of the LORD, but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men." However, despite this and the great atrocity committed by the children of Israel, Elijah challenged the people to make a definitive choice between following God or following Baal. Just as we Christians behave nowadays, Israel believed they could worship God and deities at the same time. Jesus also warned against this in Matthew 6:24.

Beloved, God is looking for men and women who will stand by the truth. The honest question you must ask yourself today is this: Can God depend on me? Elijah stood against the 450 prophets of baal. Prophet Micaiah spoke the mind of God to Ahab, despite the assurance earlier given by 400 prophets in 1 Kings 22:28. As a pillar and ambassador of truth, prophet Micaiah said, "If thou return at all in peace the Lord hath not spoken by me. And he said; hearken O people, every one of you."

So many were once confronted with situations where they had to choose between life and death, denying or upholding their faith, deny Jesus and live or proclaim Him as your Lord and die, especially in the northern part of Nigeria. Many compromised while some stood their ground. If it were you, what would you have done? Remember Jesus said if you deny me on earth, I will do the same to you in heaven. You have a choice to make today.

Beloved, the imminent second coming of Jesus is around the corner. We make decisions and choices everyday. I advise you not to gamble with your life and destiny. Don't play game with God as many are doing. Live for Jesus day after day. Live for Him, come what may. Let the Holy Spirit always guide You in the choices you make. Obey Him always and in all things. It is well with you.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday, 18th October, 2025.

To begin with, let it be made abundantly clear that, here on earth things are always changing. Why? Because everything created by God responds to time or is governed by time. Neither man nor plant is immune to this phenomenon.

The writer of Ecclesiastes declared, "There is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven" (Ecclesiastes 3:1). The only thing that is constant is change which can be positive or negative. An anonymous writer who agreed with this stated, "Change is good but not all change is change for the better. With calendar year, change can cause stress, concern and uncertainty in our hearts as what lies ahead." He went further to add, "We can rejoice in the face of change if we would remember that nothing really matters because we serve a God whose word is forever settled in heaven" (Psalm 119:89). As a child of God, always remember that the word of God is God Himself (John 1:1), and He can't deny Himself.

Be reminded that the scripture states, "For I am the Lord, I change not, therefore, ye sons of Jacob are not consumed" (Malachi 3:6). God is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of man that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or halt he spoken, and shall he not make it good? (Numbers 23:19). God says His covenant with us will not be altered, nor the thing that has gone out of His lips (Ps 89:34). The truth is that we serve a God who remains constant and unchanging. Hebrews 13:8 clearly states, "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." For you to get beneficial reward from the unchanging God, why don't you surrender your life to Him today? Tomorrow may be too late.

The word of God is truth. It cannot change and it will happen as He declares it. Therefore, heaven is real and hell is also real. He does not change as man does and His word, the truth, cannot be changed because of you on the last day.

1. Father, I thank You because You are the only Unchanging Changer, in the name of Jesus.

2. Father Lord, arise and change my story for the best, in the name of Jesus.

3. Every evil plantation in my life, that will take me away from the way of life, be uprooted by fire, in the name of Jesus.

[16] Shadrach, Meshach, and Abed-nego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

[17] If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

[18] But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 17th October, 2025.

Though the Bible, as shown in our Memory Verse for today, teaches us to obey, honour and pray for those who rule over us, our first duty is to God Himself: to obey the first and the greatest commandment, to love God with all our hearts, souls, minds and strength (Deuteronomy 6:5; Matthew 22:37-38). Therefore, we are not expected to worship or bestow divine honour upon any false god, lesser god or any image representing a god.

These three young men (Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego) knew and understood this truth and the scriptural affirmation that our God is a jealous God. He will not share His glory with any beggarly power. Little wonder, despite the threat of king Nebuchadnezzar, these three young men refused to compromise their personal convictions. Instead, they gave bold and unhesitating witness to their allegiance to the true God. They had a hope and a truth that were fixed on Him who was their refuge and strength. They also knew that the wrath of God against sin and disobedience was far worse than human wrath.

As a child of God, you should diligently ask God to put a firm determination within your heart to remain true to Him and His word, regardless of the consequences. The fact that everyone is doing something does not make it right. In Daniel 3:28-30, King Nebuchadnezzar saw the fourth man in the fire, walking freely with three Hebrew men and testified to the greatness and power of God. He came to this conviction after his humbling experience. May you receive the grace to stand for God in every area of life, in Jesus' name.

Some parents threaten and intimidate their children for accepting Christ as Lord and for serving Him. Some outrightly disown such children. Some threaten their wives for joining a living church and for going to pray to the living God. Some of such parents are not born again and they prefer that such children or wives join them in worshipping the devil. Beloved, is this your current situation and experience? Tell that parent or husband humbly, "I will not serve your god!" I pray that you will not experience the wrath of God. You will not go into perdition, in Jesus' name.

1. Any problem in my life assigned to make me serve the idol of my father's house, die, in the name of Jesus.

2. Intimidation and harassment assigned to frustrate me out of Christ, die, in the name of Jesus.

3. Idols of my father's house, that is still active and waiting for my worship, you are a liar, die, in the name of Jesus.

4. Idol worshippers in my father's house, calling my name for idol worship, you have done enough, die, in the name of Jesus.

5. I refuse, by the power in the name of Jesus, to bow down to any small god, in the name of Jesus.

6. Idols in my father's house my family members have been covenanted to, I reject you, I remove you, die by fire, in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 16th October, 2025.

In the context of human existence and knowledge, many things are true. Truth is, first of all, a quality that belongs to God, to Christ and to the Holy Spirit. Therefore, God wants truth to develop in us. In our daily life, we must see it, speak it, walk in it, live by it and worship in it. John 4:24 says, "God is a spirit and they that worship him, must worship him in spirit and in truth."

Beloved, there is only one truth that will set people free from sin, destruction and satan's dominion, In our lives, sometimes, we face challenges or find ourselves in situations where we need to opt for the truth or falsehood. We can only be prevail in life by the amount of God's word we know, not by our position in the church, or our activities in our group in church. Psalms 51:6 says this, "Thou desireth truth in thine inward parts, and in the hidden part thou shall make me to know wisdom"

God's word is truth, so is the testimony of Jesus and the gospel proclaimed by the apostles. Those who believe have come to a knowledge of the truth and belong to the church, the pillar and foundation of the truth. The word of God as truth provides the solutions to the miserable situations in which humanity finds itself and points the way out through the One who said, "I am the way, the truth and the life" (John 14:6).

Beloved, as you step out this morning, let the Truth (Jesus Christ) guide you in all your endeavours, so you can be clean from the pollution of this world. Make yourself a friend of the holy Spirit. He is the Spirit of truth who has been ordained to guide you into all truth. Becoming a pillar of truth and living for the truth may not be very easy for you. I encourage you to seek the help of the Holy Spirit and you will succeed. I pray nothing shall cut you off from the truth, in Jesus' name.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 15th October, 2025.

When Jesus was standing trial before Pilate, He said, among other things, that He should bear witness unto the truth and that everyone that is of the truth heareth His voice. Pilate replied, "What is the truth?" (John 18:37-38). A careful study of the Bible reveals that there are ten great truths contained in the scripture. The first truth is contained in Isaiah 65:16, which says, "He who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth: and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former troubles are forgotten and because they are hid from mine eyes"

The Good News Bible expressly states, "It is dangerous when you are concerned with what others think of you" (Proverb 29:25). Therefore, beloved, always stand on and act on God's word because the word is God Himself (John 1:1). As the word of God is a reality, truth which is not disputable, so the point that God is the truth is not disputable.

It is rather difficult to take a stand for God's truth when we are mainly concerned with what people think about us. It is also obvious that as soon as one worries about what other people think, we are letting them to control us. By trying to figure out what people want from us rather than what God created us for, we may be tempted to act contrary to what God demands from us, thereby sinning against Him. To succeed in life entails standing firm on the Lord, the truth and life.

Roman 6:14 says, "For sin shall not have dominion over you for ye are not under the law, but under grace." Avoid indulging in or gratifying occasional sin and say it is just in a while for selfish gain, you will just give the devil room to rob you of your dominion over sin and the joy of the Lord. Beloved, today stand for the truth to avoid sin. Do it according to the word of the Lord, no matter the consequences.

𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆

1. The sin in my life that separated my parents from God, die, in the name of Jesus.

2. Divine boldness to speak God's word in the presence of my enemies, come upon me, in the name of Jesus.

3. I shall stand before kings without fear to declare the counsel of the Lord, in the name of Jesus.

4. Fear in me, making me to sin against God, die, in the name of Jesus.

5. The nature of sin in me, assigned to chase away the word of God in my heart, die, in the name of Jesus.

6. Thou word of God, manifest in my life with your power and settle me by fire, in the name of Jesus.

7. I receive power to declare the word of the Lord in the land of the living, in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 14th October, 2025.

The Bible in, 1 Peter 4:16, says that it is no shame to suffer for being a Christian. Praise God for the privilege of being called by His name (NLT 2nd edition). The scriptures further make us to understand that Jesus, in an unequivocal statement affirmed, "I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh to the father, but by me" (John 14:6). Having been blessed with such a great truth, then should we as His followers seek the approval of man rather than Him? As a child of God, do we still need the approval of someone to be happy? If the answer is no, it is pertinent to add that no matter what we do in life, there is someone, somewhere who is not going to like it. Simply put, we cannot avoid people's disapproval. This being so, we had better be well prepared to have men's approval for doing the right thing rather than the wrong thing. Many are doing nothing today and yet men approve of them because of selfish things.

The above brings to mind one important factor of life as propounded by an anonymous writer which states, "As long as you allow the opinion of others around to matter than God's opinion, it is not unlikely that you are going to fall." You don't need other people's approval to be happy since happiness is a state of mind and not opinion that comes from within when one is at peace with one's maker (Jesus) not man. The big question is, are you prepared to stand by Jesus or man? The choice is yours. Stand by Jesus: the way, the truth and the life. He will settle you. You will have your peace and you will surely fulfil your destiny here on earth. As you step out today, please stand on the truth. Stand by the word of God and not by the words of men. Seek for God's approval even in the midst of confrontations and even if you are the only one saying the truth, it does not matter. You are not alone; the Lord is with you.

1. I refuse to make man my God, in the name of Jesus.

2. Power assigned to take the place of God in my life, die, in the name of Jesus.

3. I reject the approval of man for wrong doing and I accept God's approval, in the name of Jesus.

4. Spirit of pride, I reject you, get out of my life, in the name of Jesus.

5. Anything in me that always make me to enjoy the approval of men even when I'm wrong, die, in the name of Jesus.

6. Power and grace to stand for Christ and truth, come upon me, in the name of Jesus.

7. I refuse to serve God on satan's condition, in the name of Jesus.
