MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 26th September, 2025.

God is a disciplinarian. He is a righteous and impartial Judge. His standard and benchmark are uncompromising. They are the same for Jews and Gentiles, for kings and their subjects as well as for the clergy and the laity, for male and female persons and for the rich and the poor.

Adam and Eve enjoyed first class privileges while their relationship and communion with God were intact. When they disobeyed God, who had forewarned them and told them of the consequences of eating the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, they were pronounced guilty of the sin of rebellion and were severely punished. They lost their estate (the Garden of Eden), the glory of God and the dominion God had given them. God did fail to punish them (spare His rod) because they were the masterpieces of His creation.

David was called a man after God's heart. God made him to be anointed three different times and made him to excel among all kings in the history of Israel. God had special covenant with him and gave him great grace. However, when David committed adultery with Bathsheba and killed Uriah, her husband, God punished David accordingly.

Besides, whether you are a Jew or a gentile, what matters to God is your obedience. Anyone who accepts His love and gift of eternal life will be saved. Jesus said, "Whoever does the will of my Father is my brother or my sister.

Beloved, if God could punish Adam and Eve, the masterpieces of his creation as well as David whom He called a man after His own heart, who else will he not punish for being disobedient and rebellious? We cannot continue in sin and expect the grace of God to abound. Nathan said that David had given occasion for the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme (2 Samuel 12:14). As New Testament believers, we should be careful, obedient and God-fearing. We should steer clear of anything that will make the enemies of the Lord to blaspheme His holy name. Our whole duty is to obey Him as well as to bring glory to His name.

[11] Now there dwelt an old prophet in Beth-el; and his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Beth-el: the words which he had spoken unto the king, them they told also to their father.

[12] And their father said unto them, What way went he? For his sons had seen what way the man of God went, which came from Judah.

[13] And he said unto his sons, Saddle me the ass. So they saddled him the ass: and he rode thereon,

[14] and went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak: and he said unto him, Art thou the man of God that camest from Judah? And he said, I am.

[15] Then he said unto him, Come home with me, and eat bread.

[16] And he said, I may not return with thee, nor go in with thee: neither will I eat bread nor drink water with thee in this place:

[17] for it was said to me by the word of the LORD, Thou shalt eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that thou camest.

[18] He said unto him, I am a prophet also as thou art; and an angel spake unto me by the word of the LORD, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.

[19] So he went back with him, and did eat bread in his house, and drank water.

[20] And it came to pass, as they sat at the table, that the word of the LORD came unto the prophet that brought him back:

[21] and he cried unto the man of God that came from Judah, saying, Thus saith the LORD, Forasmuch as thou hast disobeyed the mouth of the LORD, and hast not kept the commandment which the LORD thy God commanded thee,

[22] but camest back, and hast eaten bread and drunk water in the place, of the which the LORD did say to thee, Eat no bread, and drink no water; thy carcase shall not come unto the sepulchre of thy fathers.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 25th September, 2025.

Many believers, who would have lived glorious lives and made heaven, ended miserably because they were careless, negligent and disobedient. In our memory verse for today, the Lord admonishes us to pay more careful attention to the words we have heard and apply them correctly to our daily lives and situations. He gave us a reason for this important admonition: so that we do not slip or drift away.

Our world is full of distractions and other devices of the enemy that have been designed to take our focus away from God and His word. The enemy wants us to ignore God's work, stop observing our Quiet Time, discontinue fellowshipping with other Christians and abandon God completely. The enemy's sole aim is to see believers drift away. When we make Bible study, memorisation, meditation and application our daily routine, we will not drift away from the Lord and His way.

The word of God is our anchor and the Holy Spirit is our stabilizer. However, it is unfortunate that many believers fall, fail and experience needless or avoidable pain for neglecting God's word as well as the prompting and direction of the Holy Spirit.

The biblical account of the man of God in 1 Kings 13 provides several lessons for us today. The word of the Lord came to the man of God and commissioned him for an important assignment. God sent the man of God to Jeroboam with specific instruction "not to eat bread, nor drink water, nor return by the same way you came" (1 Kings 13:8).

Beloved, as long as this man of God heeded God's word and paid careful attention to the minute details, obeying the word to the letter, all was well with him. He demonstrated God's power and prevailed against all oppositions. However, he later met an old prophet who dissuaded him until he disobeyed God's word. When he did, he lost divine presence and covering he once enjoyed. After he had eaten and drunk with the old prophet, he continued his journey and a lion killed him. We all need to pay heed to God's word completely and always.

Partial or incomplete obedience is costly.

Beware!

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 24th September, 2025.

Divine visitation refers to when the heavens and the earth collaborate. It is when the heavens decide to show up on the earth. It is by visitation of the Lord that our natural lives and temporal blessings are delivered to us. Whenever God visits His children, He transforms them and blesses them. Divine visitation birthed significant turning point in the lives of many Bible characters and several others after them. One of the wonderful experiences every believer should crave and pray to God for is a visitation from the Most High.

Abraham grew to the ripe age of 100 years and his wife Sarah, 90 years. The promise God gave them of a covenant child had still not been fulfilled at this advanced age of their lives. Medically speaking, both Abraham and Sarah were gone past the age of child bearing. Sarah, in particular was long past menopause and her hormones were long dead. As far as man was concerned, heaven had closed their case concerning child bearing. It was one visit from the Lord that turned this ugly situation around. In Genesis 18, three visitors from heaven went to Abraham's house. They met him under the three of Mamre and after he had shown them hospitality, the LORD told Abraham, "I will certainly return to you according to the time of life, and behold, Sarah your wife shall have a son." The LORD visited Sarah as he said and Sarah conceived and bore a son for Abraham. It was divine visitation that gave birth to this special miracle.

In the New Testament, we also have several cases of divine visitation. In John 5, we read about the man who had infirmity for thirty eight years and was laid at the Pool of Bethesda. His change of story to glory came when Jesus, the great Physician visited him.

It was divine visitation that delivered the children of Israel from 430 years of bondage. It was instrumental to the birth of John the Baptist and our Lord Jesus Christ. Divine visitation has won the toughest battles and subdued formidable enemies. When you face precarious and terrible situation, pray for divine visitation. No individual, family, organisation, church or nation will experience divine visitation and remain the same. It is the key to destiny fulfilment.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 23rd September, 2025.

There was distinct racial strain between Jews and Samaritans (John 4:9). They did not frequently interact with one another; and in some cases, outright hostility and hatred existed. But Jesus, early in his ministry, taught the Samaritans the truth of God. He ministered to the “Samaritan woman” and to the people of Samaria (John 4). Jesus is our best example in all things. The woman did not expect to find favour and help from a Jew. She got more help than she ever expected from Jesus.

The parable of Jesus in our Fire Scripture reveals that there has been serious discrimination from time immemorial. Jesus came to provide solution to the problems of mankind. Through Him, all forms of prejudice and segregation were destroyed and removed. The man who was attacked by thieves was a Jew. He was assaulted, wounded and left half dead. He needed help. There were probably more Jews than Samaritans around, and one would have expected that the man would get help quickly from one of the Jews. His expected source of assistance was from a fellow Jew, but the man got an unpleasant surprise. A priest passed by the road, saw the half-dead man and just passed by, offering no help. One would have thought that a religious and God-fearing personality like the priest would be the man’s source of help, but the priest could not be bothered. After this, a Levite came along, but he only looked at the wounded and half-dead man and also passed, making no effort to rescue the victim of attack by thieves. After this, a Samaritan passed by the place, saw the man and had compassion on him. He put his love and compassion into action. He poured oil and wine on the wound and bandaged it. He then put the man on his donkey and took him to an inn where he paid for the man to be given treatment and care, promising to pay whatever more he needed to pay when returning from his trip. The Samaritan’s love destroyed the barrier of racial discrimination. The man got help from an unexpected source.

Beloved, Jesus is our best example. Be an imitator of Jesus. Say no to racial discrimination, ethnicity, tribalism and all other kinds of prejudice and segregation.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 22nd September, 2025.

The Bible talks about unfeigned faith. That is the faith that moves mountain. That is the faith we need in the last days. That is the faith you must possess and journey with this year. As Christians, we need to examine ourselves from time to time. In 2 Corinthians 13:5, the Bible says, “Examine yourselves whether ye be in faith; prove your own selves.”

There is feigned faith and there is unfeigned faith. The word “feign” means to pretend. Is your faith genuine or pretentious? There are many cases people call faith but it is not faith. So it did not work or produce the result they desired because it is not faith. That is why people sometimes say that faith has failed them. The truth is that God’s faith cannot fail.

Our faith as believers is God’s measure of faith. In Mark 11:22, Jesus encouraged us to have God’s own faith. The faith of God cannot fail. He wants you and me to have that same measure of faith that God demonstrated and with which He created all things. God calls the things that be not as though they were. Jesus is saying to you, New Testament believer, that you can do great and mighty works if you would exercise God’s faith. Believe in your heart and say it with your mouth. Rock-like and unwavering faith is the key to supernatural exploits for every believer.

Beloved, I encourage you to read, meditate upon as well as heed the admonition of Jesus Christ in Mark 11:22-24, “And Jesus answering saith unto them, ‘Have faith in God.’ For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.”

Do you want to move mountains this year? Have faith in God and let your faith be unfeigned.

10. And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 21st September, 2025.

An embargo means full stop. An embargo means you will not progress beyond this point. An embargo means you will not go upward or be promoted beyond this point. An embargo is a form of limitation. When it is placed on a life, the enemy is saying that the life will not get better than it is. Therefore an embargo is the work of the devil. The enemy places embargo on people’s lives, destinies, careers, businesses, marriages and so on, to frustrate them. I declare that the embargo of darkness will not prosper in your life, in the name of Jesus.

Have you noticed that your life has been devoid of any meaningful progress and your desired change has been a fleeting illusion for years? An evil embargo is apparently at work in your life. How do people become victims of the embargo of darkness? Let us examine some of the ways.

First, sin is the principal spiritual force that gives the enemy the legal right to put embargoes on people’s lives. Sin opens the door for the enemy. When you break the hedge, the serpent will bite you. The second thing that makes people acquire the embargo of darkness is ignorance. The mountain of every man is the mountain of his ignorance. I pray that God will damage your ignorance.

Another cause of evil embargo in people’s lives is powerlessness. When a Christian refuses to be filled with the Holy Spirit, when his prayer life, Bible Study and Quiet Time are nothing to write home about, he or she will lack the power to resist, stop and overcome the devil when he comes to introduce evil embargo into his or her life.

Sometimes, embargoes are inherited. However, whether they are personally acquired or inherited, there are ways out of evil embargoes. In other words, the Bible offers genuine help and hope and deliverance for victims of the embargoes of darkness.

First, you must forsake sin completely. And give your life to Jesus Christ. Then, command the owners of evil embargoes in your life to carry their load, in Jesus’ name.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday, 20th September, 2025.

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life. God expects good words to proceed from your mouth. You will account for every idle word that you speak. Little wonder David prayed, “Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in thy sight o LORD, my God and my Redeemer.” In the Book of James, the Bible also affirms that the man whose religion is pure is the one who does not offend by his speech. I pray that your mouth will not put you in trouble or bondage and that God will save you from self-imposed curses, in Jesus’ name.

Michal, the daughter of King Saul and David’s wife was the only woman who died barren in the Bible. What was her offence? She spoke against her husband, King David, the anointed of the Lord. Beloved, ensure you do not say wrong things against men and women of God. The consequence of such an act is always disastrous.

In our Fire Scripture for today (2 Samuel 1:13-16), the son of the Amalekite did himself a lot of ill by narrating to David a false account of what happened in the battlefield. The truth is that it was Saul who fell on the sword to kill himself. It was not the young Amalekite that killed him. However, the Amalekite used his mouth to put himself in serious trouble. It was a taboo for a heathen to kill an Israelite, worse still to kill an anointed of the Lord. Therefore, after David had lamented the death of Saul and his son, he turned to the Amalekite and said, “How was thou not afraid to stretch forth thine hand to destroy the Lord’s anointed?” David then ordered one of his soldiers to kill the Amalekite and added, “Thy blood be upon thy head; for thy mouth hath testified against thee, saying, I have slain the LORD’s anointed.”

Another area every Christian should be careful is the use of the mouth in making vows. The Bible says that it is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfil it. Beloved, avoid Jephthah’s mistake.

Be wise!

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 19th September, 2025.

God is still in the business of troubling those who trouble His children. He remains the believer’s victorious banner and defender forever.

Elijah the Tishbite was a prophet of fire, power and great authority. At his command, he shut the heavens over Israel and there was no rain or dew for three and a half years. King Ahab looked for him everywhere from one nation to the other so he could open the heavens again, but Elijah could not be found. Three and a half years later, when God instructed Elijah to show himself to Ahab, he did. When Ahab saw Elijah, he asked, “Art thou he that troubleth Israel?” Elijah answered, I have not troubled Israel, but thou and thy father’s house, in that ye have forsaken the commandments of the LORD, and thou hast followed Baalim.” Truly, God troubled Ahab and Jezebel. They both died in a miserable way. I pray that the God of Elijah will trouble those who are troubling your Israel and those who hate your existence, peace and joy, in Jesus’ name.

The second classic example of God troubling the enemies of His children is the account of the Philistines in 1 Samuel 5:1-7. The Israelites had sinned against the Lord. Consequently, the Philistines defeated them in a battle and took the ark of God from Ebenezer to Ashdod and into the house of their god called Dagon. They set the ark by Dagon, their god. That was the beginning of sore trouble for the Philistines.

The hand of God became sore upon Dagon and the Philistines. They found Dagon prostrate before the ark of God was dismembered. Jehovah also smote them with emerods. They moved the ark of God of Israel from Ashdod to Gath and to Ekron, yet the same trouble befell them (1 Samuel 15:7). When they knew no peace, the Philistines decided to send the ark of the God of Israel back to His children.

The ark of covenant carried the presence of Jehovah. It was also consecrated. In the same vein, as a New Testament believer, you carry the presence, power and glory of the Most High God. Therefore, the God you serve will trouble whosoever troubles you, in Jesus’ name.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 18th September, 2025.

The Bible records that David, by the grace of God, enjoyed the company, loyalty and services of divine helpers of various kinds. The Bible also says that God made them available to David like the stars of heaven. They were called the mighty men of David. Apart from these men valiant of war, David also had men who were skilled in military intelligence and were special advisers. One of them was Ahithophel. The Bible likens Ahithophel to an oracle of God. His services were highly respected.

However, a time came when Ahithophel left David’s camp and joined forces with Absalom who was scheming to topple his father’s government and overthrow the throne. Ahithophel’s defection was at the highest level of David’s administration. David knew he was in danger and prayed earnestly to God to frustrate the counsel of Ahithophel. God did. I pray that the Lord will hear you in the day of trouble and the name of the God of Israel will defend you, in Jesus’ name.

The gang up of Absalom, Ahithophel and others at this time was against the Lord and His anointed, David. It took that Holy Spirit inspired prayer points to bail David out. Heaven intervened and Absalom openly rejected the counsel of Ahithophel. 2 Samuel 17:14 says, “And Absalom and all the men of Israel said, The counsel of Hushai the Archite is better than the counsel of Ahithophel. For the LORD had appointed to defeat the good counsel of Ahithophel, to the intent that the LORD might bring evil upon Absalom.” That, perhaps, was the first time Ahithophel’s counsel was rejected. He felt highly so embarrassed that he went home and committed suicide. Absalom who headed the coup against his father also died miserably.

God is the Reverser of the Irreversible. He turned the counsel of Ahithophel to nought. He converted the point of honour in Ahithophel’s life to point of dishonour because Ahithophel was working against David, the anointed of the Lord.

I pray that the desire of the wicked concerning you shall perish and every counsel of the wicked for your life shall be frustrated in the order of the counsel of Ahithophel against David, in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 17th September, 2025.

Christians are called to be soldiers in the army of Jesus Christ. A Christian is not a civilian. His lifestyle, work and testimonies are supposed to reflect his calling as a soldier of Christ. The truth is that, once a Christian is saved, he is enlisted as a soldier of Christ. The Christian life is designed for spiritual conflict. He is to fight the good fight of faith and ensure that the kingdom of this world becomes that of God and His Christ. Let us examine the qualities that distinguish a soldier of Christ.

First, a soldier of Christ should be strong in the grace of God. He does not rely on his own strength but on the grace of God. It takes divine strength derived from the grace that is in Christ Jesus to succeed as a soldier of Christ. With the strength and grace, you can confront and overcome challenges as well as win battles in his army of the Lord. Second, a soldier of Christ is single-minded or focused. He is committed to pleasing his Master, the Generalissimo. He is also diligent in God’s work in order to show himself approved. In addition, a soldier of Christ is sanctified. That is, he is pure in the eyes of God. He is a servant equipped and ready to serve the Master.

Furthermore, a good soldier of Christ endure hardship. He does not just give up easily in the face of challenges. He has the ability to persevere, bear any pain and pay any price for the Master’s will to prevail.

Finally, a soldier of Christ is aware of the battle against the invisible evil forces. He is involved and equipped to fight and prevail. The soldier of Christ has put on the whole armour of God. He is strong in the Lord and in the power of His might (Ephesians 6:10). He puts on the WHOLE armour of God (Ephesians 6:10). He submits to God and always draw close to God (James 4:7,8). He resists the devil and the devil flees from him (James 4:7). He does not conform to worldly standards (Romans 12:2).

Beloved, use the foregoing as checklist and determine whether you are a soldier of Christ or not.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Tuesday, 16th September, 2025.

The mantle is a symbol of anointing and authority which one receives to fulfil ministry. It signifies divine responsibility, God’s accompanying power, unction to function, authority of ease and God’s overshadowing anointing that cannot be insulted.

The mantle Elisha received from Elijah was highly instrumental to Elisha’s huge success in ministry. The mantle, therefore, is a carrier of anointing and an instrument for performing signs and wonders. We will recall that it was his mantle that Elijah used upon Elisha to signify Elisha’s call. Elisha also received his master’s mantle when he (Elijah) was departing the earth in order to continue the glorious ministry. The mantle was thus the power resident in Elijah through the Holy Spirit. Therefore, giving it to Elisha meant that Elijah transferred that power of God resident in him to his successor, Elisha. Thank God that Elisha put it to good use.

The Bible says that the kingdom of God is not in words but in the demonstration of God’s power. The end-time harvest of souls will succeed greatly as long as God servants are able to produce proofs (signs and wonders) that validate the sovereignty and almightiness of Jehovah. Only fools argue with divine proofs. When the children of Israel saw fire fall from heaven and it consumed the sacrifice, wood, and even licked the water on the altar that Elijah prepared, worshipped Jehovah, the God of Elijah and said, “Jehovah truly is God.” All their doubts and indecisions vanished.

The first demonstration of the supernatural power of God by Elisha after Elijah was taken up was done with the mantle he received from Elijah. He needed to cross River Jordan. Right there at the bank of the river, Elisha proved that the mantle carried unusual anointing. He smote the water of River Jordan with the mantle and the river parted this and that way. Elisha crossed on dry ground.

Today, the mantle is symbolic of the glorious, powerful, superior and mighty Holy Spirit cloak upon you to do great and mighty things. As a New Testament believer, the mantle is a spiritual adornment of His power upon your spirit man. Use it to populate and build God’s Kingdom!

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 15th September, 2025.

Today, we shall examine the evil effects of worldiness. This is important so that, as children of God, we are further convinced that we must avoid wordliness like a plague.

First, worldliness destroys the influence of the truth. One of the characteristics of those already caught in the trap of worldliness is that they are sermon-proof. Worldiness hinders the word of God to bear good fruits in their lives. In explaining the Parable of the Sower, the Bible, in Matthew 13:22 says, "He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful." You must not allow the love of the world to destroy the benefits of God's word in your life.

Also, worldliness deludes men into a state of false security. You should be careful not to get lost in the pleasure-seeking rave that has consumed people in these end times. You are in the world but not of the world. Matthew 24:38 and 39 admonish us to avoid what happened to men in the days of Noah.

Another evil effect of wordliness is that it makes earthly affections supreme. The Bible enjoins us to attach more importance to heavenly and spiritual things and set our affection on them rather than the things of the world (1 Corinthians 7:32-33). Beloved, let the love of God be supreme in your heart and life.

One more evil effect of worldliness you should not ignore is that it moulds the activities and plans of life.

In Ephesians 2:2, the Bible warns believers against walking according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that works in the children of disobedience. Finally, worldliness is evil because it leads to religious apostasy. Those who are trapped in the web of worldliness will end up forsaking God. Apostle Paul buttressed this point when he made a lamentable cry about a man called Demas in 2 timothy 4:10, "For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this present world, and is departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia."

Beloved, worldliness is destructive; you must not allow the enemy to lure you into its net or trap.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 14th September, 2025.

Nowadays, many Christians have fallen into the trap of wordliness. The enemy is using the love of the world to hinder unbelievers from receiving the grace of God that brings salvation distract them and lead some to apostasy. In Colossians 3:2 (our Memory Verse for today), the Bible admonishes us to set our affection on things above (spiritual, enduring and eternally rewarding) and not on things on earth (worldly, mundane and temporal). It is also disheartening that many believers do not heed this great piece of advice.

Why did God say you should not love the world and the things that are in the world? The reason is that the world and the things in them (the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life) are diametrically opposed to the will of God. You cannot love the world and love the father at the same time. In fact, the love of the world will take away the love of God from you. The more you love the Father and draw closer to Him, the more you can do His will and the more the love of the world dies in you.

You need to know how people exhibit worldliness so that you avoid the booby trap yourself. The Bible asks, "What shall it profit a man who gains the whole world and loses his soul?" Many people have lost their souls in exchange for worldly riches, wealth, fame, political offices and even positions in the corporate world and their places of worship. Those who seek to gain the whole world and get enmeshed in the rat race end up in the cage or trap of worldliness. The Bible, in Luke 21:34 shows the second way people exhibit worldliness. It says, "And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares." Those who are caught in the trap of worldliness are filled with pleasure-seeking, excessive love of food, alcoholism and drunkenness, unbridled appetite and so on.

Beloved, it is important to remind you that when you love the world, you pitch yourself against the Lord, your maker.

Love not the world!
