Anointing is the supernatural ability God gives His chosen vessels to accomplish heaven's assignments committed into their hands. It is the power of God that makes the natural vessel supernatural and the ordinary do extraordinary things for God. It is the mark of God's presence, heaven's authority and backing on the vessel.

When Samuel anointed Saul of Kish as king over Israel, Saul became another man; he was ushered into the supernatural class. By the instrumentality of the anointing, David killed Goliath and went on to fight a total of 66 battles in his lifetime without losing one. The secret of David's exploits as a warrior, prophet and king was the unusual anointing that was at work in his life. David was anointed three different to times. The anointing makes the difference. It sets winners apart from losers. The lives of Saul and David before they were anointed and after they were anointed bear eloquent testimony to the life-changing and destiny-transforming power of the anointing. You need the anointing to make the journey of your life fruitful and full of great results. Without the anointing, man will struggle so hard but will achieve so little. Without the anointing, the best efforts of many people will go unrewarded and frustration will set in. I pray that the Holy Spirit, the Custodian of the anointing, will anoint you today, in Jesus' name.

Elijah, the Tishbite's heavy duty anointing aided his pronouncement that closed the heaven for three and a half years. There was no rain or dew at his command. By the anointing, he challenged, defeated and destroyed the prophets of Baal on Mount Carmel. The anointing makes hard work easy and makes the impossible achievable. The anointing breaks all kinds of yokes.

Jesus was given the anointing without measure. Beloved, you need the anointing. If you have it, you need to constantly ask for more and use it to the glory of God.

There is anointing for doing secular and spiritual assignments. No matter what your profession is in the secular world or your assignment in ministry, ask God to give you the measure of anointing that will give you supernatural success. When you ask, you will receive!

1. My Father, anoint me for good works in Your kingdom, in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 31st August, 2025.

True love and friendship were the foundation and basis of the relationship between Naomi and "Ruth. Ruth's loyalty and devotion to Naomi are a beautiful example of the biblical kind of friendship revealed by our memory verse for today. Despite being from different cultures and backgrounds, Ruth stuck closer to Naomi than any biological son could have done, demonstrating the power of true friendship. In life, it is a great thing to have someone who will stand by your side through thick and thin, providing comfort. encouragement and support. I pray that God will give you a friend, daughter, daughter-in-law or even a mother like Ruth, in the name of Jesus.

Also, Ruth was a woman of good report. The good report she had won the heart of Boaz who ended up as her husband and father of her child. Ruth 2:11 reads, "And Boaz answered and said unto her, It hath fully been shown me, all that thou hast done unto thy mother-in-law since the death of thine husband: and how thou hast left thy father and thy mother, and the land of thy nativity, and art come unto a people which thou knewest not heretofore." Relationship is about investing in others and adding value to their lives consistently. Ruth had risked her life to follow Naomi because she believed in Naomi's God. She had sacrificed so much that Boaz prayed that the Lord God of Israel under whose wings she had come to trust would recompense her and give her full reward. It was a life-changing prayer and the God of Israel answered it.

Beloved, are you a daughter in law or a son in law? Can your parents-in-law and the people around them say that you are better than ten sons? Remember that Naomi had lost two adult sons and she thought it was all over, but God through Ruth did for her more than what ten sons would do for her. This befitting description of Ruth was borne out of the exceptional qualities she had and which made her one of the finest and greatest female characters in the Bible. I encourage you to emulate Ruth even as you relate with your in-laws. You will not miss your reward!

MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday, 30th August, 2025.

Nowadays, the media as well as the film industry is awash with stories of conflicts between daughters in law and their mothers in law. Some people now see it as strange occurrence for mothers in law and their daughters in law to love one another and be close friends. It is not strange. The Bible teaches that they ought to be close, just as Naomi and Ruth were.

In our Fire Scripture today, after Ruth had had a male child for Boaz, the women said, "... Thy daughter in law, which loveth thee, which is better to thee than seven sons, hath borne him." What is quite striking here is that the women told Naomi that Ruth was better to her than seven sons. What does this mean and what are the lessons in this for us?

First, Ruth proved beyond reasonable doubt to be a trusted friend and companion to her mother in law. Her decision to cleave to Naomi and journey with her back to Bethlehem gave Naomi the fortitude to bear the loss of her two adult sons. Orpah bade Naomi goodbye but Ruth didn't.

Second, Ruth was a woman of faith. When she said Naomi's God would be her God and where Naomi went was where she would go, they had just suffered the loss of her husband and his brother and Noami had lamented that the hand of God was against them. Outside faith, no one would want to go with the God that Naomi described to Ruth. On the other hand, Ruth saw light at the end of the tunnel. She chose to trust God and she was not ashamed.

Dear daughter in law, I counsel you to demonstrate Christ's love to your mother-in-law and every other member of her family. Love conquers all things. Let the virtues that the women of Bethlehem saw in Ruth and made them to say she was better than seven sons to Naomi be seen in your life too! Ruth was a blessing from God to Naomi. Her presence in Naomi's life was as valuable as a whole quiver full of sons.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 29th August, 2025.

Daniel and His Hebrew brothers refused the king's delicacies because they knew it was going to pollute them and weaken their spiritual lives. Were they not hungry? They were. Was the king's meal not sumptuous and alluring? They were. It was a rare privilege to be offered something of value by a king. Though the Hebrew young men knew it was a privilege to be offered a meal by the king and that the king could get offended if he learnt about their refusal, yet they humbly rejected. They chose to obey God rather than man. They were not ruled by the flesh. The lust of the eyes, lust of the flesh and the love of the world as well as the pride of life had no power over them. Rather, the fruit of the Spirit was evidently at work in their lives: love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance.

Similarly, Joseph refused the seductive advances of Mrs Potiphar. His heart was right with God. He said, "I can I do this wicked thing against the Lord?" For morally debased individuals and those with corrupt minds, what Mrs Potiphar offered them on a platter of gold would have been regarded as divinely arranged opportunity for pleasure. They would have taught that such an offer would be at no cost to them, but how wrong they would have been. The devil has no free gift.

It pays to listen to the Holy Spirit and obey Him. Daniel and the three other Hebrews were promoted and highly blessed in the kingdom. The discipline and faithfulness that these young Bible characters exhibited made them enjoy divine promotion as well as favour with God and men.

In contrast with Hebrew brothers and Joseph, David could not overcome the temptation of committing adultery with Bathsheba, and Samson could not handle Delilah until she destroyed him. Also, Eve lacked the power to resist eating the apple. The truth, beloved, is that it takes discipline, persistence and doggedness to live in the will of God. You must not allow the flesh to rule you. Be Spirit-filled and Spirit-led, for the flesh profits nothing.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday, 28th August, 2025.

When Elijah departed on the chariot of fire, his prophetic protégé, Elisha was disconcolate. His first cry was that of alarm: "My father, my father!!". But when he came to himself, he realized that the mantle he demanded from on Elijah had fallen. He picked up this mantle with confidence. With this in his hand, his second cry was that of trust and power in the God of Elijah: "Where is the Lord God of Elijah!". And with this victorious cry and prophetic action, Elisha successfully divided the Jordan and crossed over and his ministry started in earnest. The Bible recorded that from this time onward, he became the head of the sons of prophets in the city of Jericho. The sons of the prophets who had been mocking and making jest of him came to bow before him. Not long after this, he went ahead to heal the waters of the city and became an environmental transformer of the town (2 Kings 2:12-22).

What type of cries do you utter when the trials of life come your way? Are you the crybaby type? Are you a murmurer? Are you a complainer? Are you the type that curses man and God when challenges come his way? As a believer, you need to know that we live in a life that is full of trials, troubles and tribulations (John 16:33). Our Lord Jesus passed through this way too and He has made us to realize that our afflictions in life are temporary if we can learn to trust him. He also promised that we will not be yoked with any challenge that is too much for us to shoulder.

There is a lesson for you to learn from the case of Elisha. In the moments of crisis, refrain from crying and whining like a baby. Rather, gird up your loins, look up with faith at the storms of life and cry: "Where is the Lord God of Elijah!". I believe you will make the better choice today.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday, 27th August, 2025.

Today's memory verse admonishes parents to train their children in the way they should go; that is, the way of the Lord. But it is unfortunate that parents are rearing their children today, instead of training them. Animals are reared while children are supposed to be trained. In many homes, fathers who are supposed to train his three-year-old son to read and study the Bible do not even study theirs.

Many parents even go to church without taking their children along with them. Many allow their children to attend churches different from theirs. This has led to the confusion and moral degradation among the youths of today who lack godly parent models to look up to.

As a Christian parent, you should teach and train your child to do everything the Lord commanded in the Bible. For instance, when you train your child to wake up by himself to pray before family devotion, you would not have problem with such a child during family devotion or when he or she finally leaves home for college. And such a child would not depart from the training when he or she has grown up.

Training our children is a commandment from the Lord and every parent will be held accountable by God. Train your children to follow and obey God's laws and commandments; train them to memorise the word of God; train them to do house chores like washing the plates without the assistant of the maid, train them to fold the cloth while you iron them, train him to wash his socks while you wash the uniform, train them to hold personal vigil while you are holding yours, train them to go with you for morning evangelism and ask them to do the preaching after sometime.

When you do this, you will make the path of life known to them. The Lord will bless your children and make them great; He will be able to trust you with life's secrets, and will be confident to say of you, like he said of Abraham, "For I know him, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way of the Lord" (Genesis 18:19).

Would you be spoken of by the Lord as someone who knows how to rule his own house?

Many believers don't know their rights in Christ. Many Christians actually behave like the elder brother of the prodigal son, who have great wealth and resources at his disposal but doesn't know how to appropriate it for personal and kingdom uses, and so remain unnecessarily impoverished. This is rather unfortunate, as the Bible makes us to understand that we are kings and priests in Christ. The book of Revelation reveals that Jesus Christ is the King of kings. This means He is King over believers who are also kings. The implication of this is that every child of God is a king, and of a royal priesthood. The kingly anointing is the divine birthright of every child of God, therefore we should learn to walk in the newness of life in the face of persecution and affliction because we serve a King who can deliver to the uttermost. Also, because kings rule by decrees, we can also enter into our covenant right and decree and make things to happen positively for us.

David was chosen as a king by God and he was anointed to rule over the people of God. This anointing confers on him the authority to rule and to reign. He goes in the power of this anointing and did many exploits for God.

The Lord has also anointed you as a king and as His ambassador here on earth. You need to get up from the ground that the enemy has kept you for so long and step onto the throne that has been prepared for you from the beginning of the world. Displace and disgrace all the servants that are riding the horse of your destiny and ride joyously into the abundant life that Christ has made available unto you.

Beloved, the kingly anointing is not limited to spiritual leaders or monarchs but is available to all believers who seek to reign with Christ in their lives, ministries and spheres of influence. However, it is reserved for only truly born-again children of God. I counsel you to give your life to Jesus Christ, if you have not already done so. Then you will receive the divine empowerment and authority to reign and rule in various aspects of life.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday, 25th August, 2025.

Deuteronomy 28:7 is one of the most important verses you will find on strategic spiritual warfare in the entire Scripture. This verse makes it very clear that we have a mandate to war against the enemies, for us to smite the enemy and for the enemy to flee before us.

We are living in dangerous times and if we fail to strike and smite the enemies, we might end up being smitten. The Almighty God is a man of war. He does not expect His children to be on the defensive and be crying in the closet. He expects all His children to be on the offensive: to be holding their enemies on the jugular and to bruise Satan under the feet (Romans 16:20).

Goliath had been boasting for forty days and forty nights. Eighty times he came against the people of God, but on the eighty-first time of casting aspersions on the children of God, David the shepherd boy and a child of God came on the scene with the superior might of God.

For the first time in the life of the giant, he saw someone coming on the offensive against him. David smote Goliath on the forehead and Goliath collapsed like a sack of potatoes. After this victory, David cut off Goliath’s head and all Goliath’s servants fled like rats.

To successfully smite and destroy the Goliath in your life, you must not wait for him to strike first. Rather, you must be on the offensive; this is what God expects His children to do.

But someone may ask: under what condition or circumstance will the enemy flee before my face? This is very simple.

The enemy will flee when your weapons of warfare are superior to his (Ephesians 6:13-20). The enemy will also flee when the source of your power is more superior to his (Psalm 35:1-3). The enemy will likewise bow and flee when you capture and destroy his champion (1 Samuel 17:35-36; 48-49).

However, don’t forget that you must remain holy and without blemish so that the enemy will not have the opportunity to strike back.

I pray for you today beloved, that as you take up your superior weapons of warfare against the enemies, you will smite them as the heavenly Father commanded; they will flee before you and you will see them again no more (Exodus 14:13), in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 24th August, 2025.

Psalm 105:15, part of our Fire Scripture for today, refers to unbelievers that are attacking or persecuting the Lord's anointed or God's people from outside the church as well as believers that are in the church who harm and malign each other and their overseers. God frowns at any attempt of an infidel infliction pain upon His children, especially those in position of leadership.

The question to ask now is this: who is the Lord's anointed? In the Old Testament parlance, "the Lord's anointed" refers to the kings of Israel (1 Samuel 12:35; 24:6, 10, 16, 23; 2 Samuel 1:14, 16; 19:21; Psalm 10:6). In the context of Psalms 105:15, the reference extends to patriarchs and leaders in general. The words "touch" and "do harm have to do with inflicting physical or spiritual harm upon someone. Specifically, in 1 Samuel 24:6, the phrase "touch not the Lord's anointed" refers to David's refraining from killing King Saul when he had the opportunity. It means in that context, "not to kill".

The Bible reveals that David did rebuke Saul publicly more than once and called him to account for his actions before God. He said in I Samuel 24:12, "The Lord judge between me and thee, but mine hands shall not be upon thee. But he did not physically harm him. In like manner, Christians should be fair-minded and balanced when giving criticism or making a point, especially for or against a leader.

The Bible teaches that Christians are to hold one another accountable in behaviour and character (1 John 3:17) and to always be their brother's keepers. We should therefore not condemn or do harm to other believers, even when they are erring, but rather pray for one another that the light of the gospel may shine into every heart. The fact is that the judgement of every believer is in the hands of God. The Bible says we should not judge (Matthew 7:1; Luke 6:37). We should therefore not judge, condemn or do harm to others, especially leaders and elders that God has anointed or appointed to positions of authority.

David should be our classic example. We should air our dissenting views when offended, but this should only be done in the light of scriptural and moral truths. We should never condescend to the level of harming one another or maligning a man of God. No justification of this action will be acceptable before the Lord.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday, 23rd August, 2025.

Believers in Christ have been given the authority to bind and loose here on earth with the assurance that heaven will back up what they do. Binding is like a temporary spiritual handcuffing. You can bind a demon spirit, much like tying something up with rope or chains.

Jesus taught us to bind the strong man, then we can plunder his house (Mark 3:27). This charge is not made to only Peter and the other apostles, but to all believers. If you have been trying to witness to somebody, and seem to be getting nowhere, try binding the spirits of darkness that are preventing that person from seeing the light of the gospel. You cannot bind a person's will or force them to accept the gospel, but you can bind the demons which are holding the person back. These include witchcraft spirits and environmental rulers of darkness or stubborn foundational power.

This means that Christians, have the spiritual authority, are to speak as the of Jesus commended and our decisions would be binding. Jesus spoke God's authoritative words and authorized His apostles to speak those words to the church. We can see this in the book of Hebrews:

For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard, God also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will. (Hebrews 2:2-4)

Loosing, like binding can also be done here on earth, and its effect recorded in the spiritual realm. Loosing however, refers to the untying of a captive or person in bondage. We bind demons, but we loose captives. When Jesus set free the woman with the issue of blood, He said unto her, "Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity." (Luke 13:12).

Beloved, as a believer with a privileged key to the kingdom of Heaven, it is time you started to manifest your power of binding and loosing. The power as of old is still available. Today, resolve to make use of it to plunder the stronghold of the strong man. Assigned against your life, command them to be bind and your possession loosed from their grip in the power and authority in the name of Jesus.

The last category of the spiritual gifts is known as the power gifts. They include gift of faith, gift of healing and the working of miracles.

Although, the Bible tells us that 'God has dealt to every man the measure of faith' (Romans 12:3). However, the gift of faith is a special gift or ability which God impacts to some people to do exploits or to reach out in faith to do great works for Him, for example, to evangelise in other nations. Faith is exhibiting absolute trust in the work and Person of God.

The gift of healing is manifested in a situation whereby a person is healed by the power of God. This may be through the laying on of hands, use of water or anointing oil, confession of Scriptures or through the application of handkerchiefs or aprons. The gift of working of miracle is a supernatural ability given by God to serve others as a channel of God's miracle-working power. The working of miracles may happen as a result of a person's faith, or simply because of the sovereignty of God: either way, it is a gift from God!

The working of miracles is a situation whereby a person ordained by God suspends the law of nature to supernaturally effect a work that is uncommon, like raising the dead. Working of miracles is to glorify God and to demonstrate His power, and not to glorify man.

As a child of God, you have the gift(s) of the Holy Spirit in you, latent, like a dormant giant. You have to prayerfully discover this/these gift(s), hone, develop and use it/them to counsel, to deliver, to heal and to solve diverse problems and challenges in the lives of people- especially the people of God. When these gifts are used in the right way, through the wisdom and power of God, it projects one into the realm of the miraculous and leads to the fulfillment of destiny.

The move of the Holy Spirit in the lives of many fathers of faith makes it abundantly clear that the gifts of the Spirit are the children's meat. God is willing and able to give us these gifts in the latter days, if we can only but ask and seek earnestly for them from Him (Matthew 7:7).

1. Follow after charity, and desire spiritual gifts, but rather that ye may prophesy.

3. But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

12. Even so ye, forasmuch as ye are zealous of spiritual gifts, seek that ye may excel to the edifying of the church.

The baptism in the Holy Spirit prepares a child of God to receive one or more of the "gifts" of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11.) Three of the nine gifts may be categorized as the vocal gifts. They are the gift of prophecy, diverse kinds of tongues and the interpretation of tongues.

These gifts of the Spirit operate through a believer to enable him or her to do God's work, to help other people; to live in victory and to build up the body of Christ.

These gifts operate in different ways. The gift of prophecy is given to speak forth God's Word. It is the prediction through the power of the Holy Ghost about the past, the present or the future of a thing. All true prophecy must agree with the word of God.

The gift of diverse kinds of tongues is a supernatural way of speaking to or for God in more than one language. It is the ability to speak different kinds of tongues, or the ability to speak with strange languages. It is different from praying in tongues, or praying in the Spirit. All who have been baptized in the Holy Spirit have the privilege and the ability to pray in tongues; however, not all have the "gift" of tongues.

Interpretation of tongues is the ability from God to explain - or interpret - the message interpretation of spoken in tongues. It is usually a dual gift used in conjunction with diverse kinds of tongues. Sometimes the message in tongues and the interpretation in tongues may come through different people, as the Holy Spirit gives them understanding.

As a believer, if you are not sure God is speaking to you about a matter, wait and God will reveal His will to you: first, in your spirit, and then possibly by confirming it "in the mouth of two or three witnesses" with prophecy. However, get your direction from God, and not from human beings. Psalm 27:11 says, "Lead me in a plain path, O Lord, because of my enemies.". As you do this today, He shall direct you and make all crooked paths straight in your life, in the name of Jesus.

1. Father Lord, give me utterances of Your word, in the mighty name of Jesus.

2. My prophecy of prosperity, manifest now, in the name of Jesus.

4. Every power, with the demonic knowledge of my destiny, be impotent now, in the name of Jesus.

5. Any evil mouth chanting incantation against me, die, in the name of Jesus.

6. Powers masquerading to harm me, be exposed and be disgraced, in the name of Jesus.

7. I decree and declare good things into my life now, in the name of Jesus.
