Deuteronomy 28:7 is one of the most important verses you will find on strategic spiritual warfare in the entire Scripture. This verse makes it very clear that we have a mandate to war against the enemies, for us to smite the enemy and for the enemy to flee before us.

We are living in dangerous times and if we fail to strike and smite the enemies, we might end up being smitten. The Almighty God is a man of war. He does not expect His children to be on the defensive and be crying in the closet. He expects all His children to be on the offensive: to be holding their enemies on the jugular and to bruise Satan under the feet (Romans 16:20).

Goliath had been boasting for forty days and forty nights. Eighty times he came against the people of God, but on the eighty-first time of casting aspersions on the children of God, David the shepherd boy and a child of God came on the scene with the superior might of God.

For the first time in the life of the giant, he saw someone coming on the offensive against him. David smote Goliath on the forehead and Goliath collapsed like a sack of potatoes. After this victory, David cut off Goliath’s head and all Goliath’s servants fled like rats.

To successfully smite and destroy the Goliath in your life, you must not wait for him to strike first. Rather, you must be on the offensive; this is what God expects His children to do.

But someone may ask: under what condition or circumstance will the enemy flee before my face? This is very simple.

The enemy will flee when your weapons of warfare are superior to his (Ephesians 6:13-20). The enemy will also flee when the source of your power is more superior to his (Psalm 35:1-3). The enemy will likewise bow and flee when you capture and destroy his champion (1 Samuel 17:35-36; 48-49).

However, don’t forget that you must remain holy and without blemish so that the enemy will not have the opportunity to strike back.

I pray for you today beloved, that as you take up your superior weapons of warfare against the enemies, you will smite them as the heavenly Father commanded; they will flee before you and you will see them again no more (Exodus 14:13), in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday, 24th August, 2025.

Psalm 105:15, part of our Fire Scripture for today, refers to unbelievers that are attacking or persecuting the Lord's anointed or God's people from outside the church as well as believers that are in the church who harm and malign each other and their overseers. God frowns at any attempt of an infidel infliction pain upon His children, especially those in position of leadership.

The question to ask now is this: who is the Lord's anointed? In the Old Testament parlance, "the Lord's anointed" refers to the kings of Israel (1 Samuel 12:35; 24:6, 10, 16, 23; 2 Samuel 1:14, 16; 19:21; Psalm 10:6). In the context of Psalms 105:15, the reference extends to patriarchs and leaders in general. The words "touch" and "do harm have to do with inflicting physical or spiritual harm upon someone. Specifically, in 1 Samuel 24:6, the phrase "touch not the Lord's anointed" refers to David's refraining from killing King Saul when he had the opportunity. It means in that context, "not to kill".

The Bible reveals that David did rebuke Saul publicly more than once and called him to account for his actions before God. He said in I Samuel 24:12, "The Lord judge between me and thee, but mine hands shall not be upon thee. But he did not physically harm him. In like manner, Christians should be fair-minded and balanced when giving criticism or making a point, especially for or against a leader.

The Bible teaches that Christians are to hold one another accountable in behaviour and character (1 John 3:17) and to always be their brother's keepers. We should therefore not condemn or do harm to other believers, even when they are erring, but rather pray for one another that the light of the gospel may shine into every heart. The fact is that the judgement of every believer is in the hands of God. The Bible says we should not judge (Matthew 7:1; Luke 6:37). We should therefore not judge, condemn or do harm to others, especially leaders and elders that God has anointed or appointed to positions of authority.

David should be our classic example. We should air our dissenting views when offended, but this should only be done in the light of scriptural and moral truths. We should never condescend to the level of harming one another or maligning a man of God. No justification of this action will be acceptable before the Lord.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday, 23rd August, 2025.

Believers in Christ have been given the authority to bind and loose here on earth with the assurance that heaven will back up what they do. Binding is like a temporary spiritual handcuffing. You can bind a demon spirit, much like tying something up with rope or chains.

Jesus taught us to bind the strong man, then we can plunder his house (Mark 3:27). This charge is not made to only Peter and the other apostles, but to all believers. If you have been trying to witness to somebody, and seem to be getting nowhere, try binding the spirits of darkness that are preventing that person from seeing the light of the gospel. You cannot bind a person's will or force them to accept the gospel, but you can bind the demons which are holding the person back. These include witchcraft spirits and environmental rulers of darkness or stubborn foundational power.

This means that Christians, have the spiritual authority, are to speak as the of Jesus commended and our decisions would be binding. Jesus spoke God's authoritative words and authorized His apostles to speak those words to the church. We can see this in the book of Hebrews:

For if the word spoken through angels proved unalterable, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompense, how shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation? After it was at the first spoken through the Lord, it was confirmed to us by those who heard, God also bearing witness with them, both by signs and wonders and by various miracles and by gifts of the Holy Spirit according to His own will. (Hebrews 2:2-4)

Loosing, like binding can also be done here on earth, and its effect recorded in the spiritual realm. Loosing however, refers to the untying of a captive or person in bondage. We bind demons, but we loose captives. When Jesus set free the woman with the issue of blood, He said unto her, "Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity." (Luke 13:12).

Beloved, as a believer with a privileged key to the kingdom of Heaven, it is time you started to manifest your power of binding and loosing. The power as of old is still available. Today, resolve to make use of it to plunder the stronghold of the strong man. Assigned against your life, command them to be bind and your possession loosed from their grip in the power and authority in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday, 22nd August, 2025.

The last category of the spiritual gifts is known as the power gifts. They include gift of faith, gift of healing and the working of miracles.

Although, the Bible tells us that 'God has dealt to every man the measure of faith' (Romans 12:3). However, the gift of faith is a special gift or ability which God impacts to some people to do exploits or to reach out in faith to do great works for Him, for example, to evangelise in other nations. Faith is exhibiting absolute trust in the work and Person of God.

The gift of healing is manifested in a situation whereby a person is healed by the power of God. This may be through the laying on of hands, use of water or anointing oil, confession of Scriptures or through the application of handkerchiefs or aprons. The gift of working of miracle is a supernatural ability given by God to serve others as a channel of God's miracle-working power. The working of miracles may happen as a result of a person's faith, or simply because of the sovereignty of God: either way, it is a gift from God!

The working of miracles is a situation whereby a person ordained by God suspends the law of nature to supernaturally effect a work that is uncommon, like raising the dead. Working of miracles is to glorify God and to demonstrate His power, and not to glorify man.

As a child of God, you have the gift(s) of the Holy Spirit in you, latent, like a dormant giant. You have to prayerfully discover this/these gift(s), hone, develop and use it/them to counsel, to deliver, to heal and to solve diverse problems and challenges in the lives of people- especially the people of God. When these gifts are used in the right way, through the wisdom and power of God, it projects one into the realm of the miraculous and leads to the fulfillment of destiny.

The move of the Holy Spirit in the lives of many fathers of faith makes it abundantly clear that the gifts of the Spirit are the children's meat. God is willing and able to give us these gifts in the latter days, if we can only but ask and seek earnestly for them from Him (Matthew 7:7).

The baptism in the Holy Spirit prepares a child of God to receive one or more of the "gifts" of the Holy Spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:4-11.) Three of the nine gifts may be categorized as the vocal gifts. They are the gift of prophecy, diverse kinds of tongues and the interpretation of tongues.

These gifts of the Spirit operate through a believer to enable him or her to do God's work, to help other people; to live in victory and to build up the body of Christ.

These gifts operate in different ways. The gift of prophecy is given to speak forth God's Word. It is the prediction through the power of the Holy Ghost about the past, the present or the future of a thing. All true prophecy must agree with the word of God.

The gift of diverse kinds of tongues is a supernatural way of speaking to or for God in more than one language. It is the ability to speak different kinds of tongues, or the ability to speak with strange languages. It is different from praying in tongues, or praying in the Spirit. All who have been baptized in the Holy Spirit have the privilege and the ability to pray in tongues; however, not all have the "gift" of tongues.

Interpretation of tongues is the ability from God to explain - or interpret - the message interpretation of spoken in tongues. It is usually a dual gift used in conjunction with diverse kinds of tongues. Sometimes the message in tongues and the interpretation in tongues may come through different people, as the Holy Spirit gives them understanding.

As a believer, if you are not sure God is speaking to you about a matter, wait and God will reveal His will to you: first, in your spirit, and then possibly by confirming it "in the mouth of two or three witnesses" with prophecy. However, get your direction from God, and not from human beings. Psalm 27:11 says, "Lead me in a plain path, O Lord, because of my enemies.". As you do this today, He shall direct you and make all crooked paths straight in your life, in the name of Jesus.

1. Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Wednesday 20th August 2025.

The revelation gifts of the Holy Spirit is to equip the Church to express the fullness of God's love to the world. These gifts are given to the Church to benefit both believers and unbelievers. The gifts represent the work God does through the life of a believer in a given situation to demonstrate His supernatural power. Consequently when the unbelievers see these manifestation, they too shall believe and surrender their lives to Christ.

The three revelation gifts as listed in I Corinthians 12:7-11 are word of wisdom, word of knowledge and the discerning of spirits. The word of wisdom is the revelation through the power of the Holy Spirit about the future of a person, a place or a thing. The word of knowledge is the revelation through the power of the Holy Spirit concerning the present or past situation of a person, a place or thing. The gift of God in a believer to identify the power behind a situation or in a person is known as the discernment of spirits.

After listing the spiritual gifts, the Apostle Paul added this critical statement: "But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will" (1 Corinthians 12:11). As you learn about the gifts, remember that the Spirit of God is the Source of these gifts, and they are manifested to bring God glory.

To gain an understanding of the gifts, one must rely on a study of the individual terms, an accurate interpretation of the Greek words used, and wisdom from the Holy Spirit (John 14:26.) Who is able to teach and enlighten us on all things. As individual believer is so gifted, it will help us to work for God effortlessly as the Holy Spirit empower and enables us.

These supernatural, spiritual gifts are awe-inspiring and are to be coveted by all believers. As instruments of God's work, Christians must seek to walk in the power of the Holy Spirit and to submit to God through these gifts, instead of yielding to the influence of their sinful natures. When the Holy Spirit works among believers and bestows these spiritual gifts, there will be peace and orderliness, not strife and confusion. God will be glorified and the Church will be edified.

The Holy Spirit of God is a Person the third person is the trinity. He is the Executor of the will of God. The Bible gives us a picture of Him at creation, as the creative essence of God. He moved upon the waters and bring all the spoken word of God into being (Genesis 1:2b).

In the New Testament, He was given to the believers and to the Church as a Comforter and a Guide. As a popular man of God used to say, HE is our Senior Partner in our ministry to God's people. We cannot do anything apart from the Spirit of God (John 15:5). The Holy Spirit dwells in believers. John 14:17 says, "Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." The Bible also affirms that if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his (Romans 8:9b). As a believer, the Holy Spirit is your spiritual dynamo, your Teacher, your Guide, your Illuminator, your Helper and Comforter. You need Him for everything and in all things in your Christian walk on earth. He is the believer's indispensable Companion.

Many people erroneously think that prayer and fasting are the main source of getting spiritual power for a Christian, but the Bible says, "Thou shall receive power after the Holy Ghost might have come upon you." Therefore, the Holy Spirit is the true Source of the believer's power. He is the custodian of the anointing He has been in existence since the earth was created, even in the record of the Old Testament.

The Holy Spirit enabled David to kill Goliath. He empowered Elijah to defeat the Prophet of Baal. He emboldened and enabled the apostles to turn their world upside down. He is the power behind the major revivals the earth has witnessed.

Beloved, the believer is supposed to experience the indwelling, abiding and empowering presence of the Holy Spirit everyday. This will ensure sweatless victory and amazing successes with ease. However, do not grieve the Holy Spirit so that He does not withdraw Himself from you. When He withdrew from King Saul and from Samson, both of them ended as mere shadows of themselves. You will end well, in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday 18th August 2025.

There are two lessons to be learnt in the Ziklag debacle. The first is the providence of God. The providence of God is His "unseen" hand in all the events of life, assuring and achieving His purposes and promises through our actions. In the providence of God, the Amalekite raiders had attacked Ziklag. They not only plundered Ziklag, but also a number of other Philistine and Israelite cities. But with the help of God, David and his men not only obtained their own goods back, but also the goods of many others. This is only possible when you invite God into your affairs. The Bible records that David shared this spoil with a number of Israelite Princes and towns, thus ingratiating them to himself. The Ziklag 'loss' thus became instrumental in causing David to return very quickly to the land of Judah, where he was eventually made the King of Judah. This goes to show that all things do truly work together for good, to those who love God, and to those who are the called according to His purpose. He sees it all and knows where and when our strength can no longer carry on.

The second lesson is the principle of Grace. This is a most important principle that forces us to renew our stand as members of the body of Christ. The victory David and his men won over the Amalekites was really God's victory. Men played a part in it, but in the final analysis, it was God's victory.

Beloved, whatever situation you are going through today, God knows. If you will only encourage yourself in Him, He will turn the situation around and glorify Himself. If only you will trust completely in His strength, He will give you the grace to pursue, to overtake and to recover all. You will have the neck of your enemies, and you will divide their spoils, in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Sunday 17th August 2025.

Tragedy sometimes occurs in life, and when they do, many of us spend days, months and even years asking questions like: "God, why me?" A lot of people feel angry and bitter that if God can protect them, why didn't He? In the midst of all life's squabbles, many simply forget the Bible scripture that says, 'All things work together for good to those who love God'. (Romans 8:28). What many people do not realise is that their lives are not in the hands of the devil but in the hands of the Almighty God. Even in the midst of troubles, trials, tribulations and temptations, there is a way out.

So, the question is not why didn't God protect us. The critical question is whether we will stand up, and encourage ourselves in the Lord, not accepting the loss or anything less in our relationship with Him. If we do this, if we stand up, we will recover. We will recover everything. That was what happened with David and his men. God has not changed. Before Ziklag was invaded, He is the same. After Ziklag, He is still the same.

David and his men turned the situation around the moment they decided not to accept a defeated Ziklag. The enemy had stolen their hopes, dreams and enthusiasm, but with a heart filled with faith and rekindled hope and courage, the leader David, encouraged himself in the Lord. At that moment the enemy lost the battle. For at the moment they stopped crying; sought for God's help. They pursued, overtook and recovered EVERYTHING!

The great lesson in the Ziklag experience is that we can overcome challenges and turn unpleasant events around with the help of God and through the following:

(1) faith in God's sovereignty

(2) Courage in the face of diversity

(3) God's guidance and direction

(4) God's faithfulness

(5) Perseverance. Beloved, trust God in difficult times call upon him. He will redeem and restore your losses, in the name of Jesus.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Saturday 16th August 2025.

Many of us have fleshly, stubborn and sinful dispositions which have been dominating our lives. These dispositions sometime stand at the very core of our lives and they become strongholds of demonic activities. Most times, we do not even notice them. But God, in His lovingkindness, provides many opportunities in which these natural flaws are exposed.

When this happens, you will realise how ugly, and filthy this disposition is. What you have been boasting about, what you have gloried in and taken satisfaction in, and what you have considered excellent and superior will now be exposeed under the Xray power of God's light and found to be nothing but the fleshly life, which is filthy, corrupt, base and despicable. This is when the light 'touches' you, and this is the meaning of Peniel. God shows you that the very things that you once boasted in, the things you considered admirable, were proud of, are the very expressions of the carnal life in you. When you receive God's touch in these areas you are humble. Just like Jacob experience God and never remained the same again.

It is difficult to find a Christian who does not have his natural life lurking behind his boasts. Therefore, you have to be particularly careful about what your boasts of. The things that you boast of are often the very things that God will deal with. When He touches this spot, you will become very ashamed and say, "How could I have made my greatest shame my glory?"

Beloved, when you have an encounter with God, like Jacob, you will see yourself for who you really are. You will see the ugly and base area of your life. You will see all the pretence and shame in your Christian service and wonder how you could have considered them your glory and virtues. When the light of the Lord beams on you, all the struggling and jostling for relevance and church positions will stop in your life. You will do all things with Christ-centredness and with a supernatural grace that 'transcends all understanding'. The question therefore is: 'Are you ready for a Peniel encounter with the Lord?" If truly you are, you will experience a transformation that will change the course and worth of your life for the best forever.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday 15th August 2025.

As believers, it is absolutely important that we experience the power of resurrection. This power brings new life, hope and encouragement, reminds us of our eternal destiny, deepens our union with Christ and empowers us for service, among others.

There is no better man to write about this than Apostle Paul. After his life-transforming encounter with Jesus on the road to Damascus, Saul of Tarsus, later Paul the Apostle, was blind for three days. On the third day, a prophet of God was sent to him to heal him of his blindness. So, in essence, Paul was also dead and he 'resurrected' on the third day. So, he knew what he was saying. Paul was an educated Jew, trained in the finest elite school of that race. A lawyer by training and of the denominational sect of the Pharisee, he says, "All of those things gladly did I give up, that I might win Christ, that I might be found in Him... that I might know Him and the power of His resurrection" (Philippians 3:8-10).

There was only one thing that Paul desired to have and that was the Lord Jesus Christ. There was only one thing that Paul desired to be and that was to be identified with Christ, to be lost in the Lord: to die with the Lord, and die to the world; to be raised with the Lord, into the newness of the resurrected life; to ascend with the Lord, to be glorified with the Lord, to be at home with the Lord. Paul desired to knowns other thing but the Lord Jesus Christ-Him first: "that I might know Him and the power of His resurrection" [Philippians 3:10].

That is also what we, as believers should desire to know, and to have. This is because the resurrection of Christ Jesus is more than just an event that happened once in history. It is the summation of our faith, and the source of the power that all righteous believers should experience every day of their lives. Beloved, the same resurrection power that brought Jesus from death to life is available for you and I today. If you can only tap into it, you will see the amazing transformation of the resurrection power manifesting in your own life too.

𝐌𝐎𝐑𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆

1. The resurrection power of the Almighty, fall upon my life, in the name of Jesus.

2. Holy Ghost fire, burn away my afflictions, in the name of Jesus.

3. I unseat all the enemies of my advancement, in the name of Jesus.

4. Spirit of death and hell, depart from my life now, in the name of Jesus.

5. Every financial failure in my life, receive permanent eviction, in the name of Jesus.

6. Spirit of resurrection, overshadow my life, in the name of Jesus.

7. Every imprisoned and buried talent in my life, be resurrected now, in the name of Jesus.

1. Praise ye the LORD. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

To be alive and be void of worship makes life meaningless. In what other way can we show our gratitude to the Almighty God Who is beyond our comprehension in many ways? In worship, we do nothing but express our gratitude and thankfulness for all He is, all He has done, all He is doing and all He will still do in our lives.

God inhabits the praises of His people; hence He deserves and desires our worship. A true worship comes from a crucified tongue and regenerated life. Such a worship comes with utmost genuineness and sincerity. What are the twenty-four elders in heaven doing according to Revelation 4:10? "The four and twenty elders fall down before him that sat on the throne, and worship him that liveth for ever and ever, and cast their crowns before the throne, saying...."They are doing no other thing but worshipping God all day long.

Do you want to be a true worshipper? Unlike what obtains in many of our churches today, where there is more of noise and mere entertainment than true worship; where sinners raise up sinful hands before the Lord, where worship has been converted to mere lip service, do you want to be a true worshipper? Then it is time to search your innermost being, confess any animosity you have towards anyone and be free to ascend into His holy hills, standing before the throne of grace to worship and reverence God in spirit and in truth.

When you are standing in true holiness and righteousness, then the Holy Spirit enables you to give true and quality worship that is filled with His power. Without Him, we can do nothing.! To strive and struggle in the place of worship should not be the portion of true worshippers. God gives the enabling grace through His Spirit and that can only be the best way to worship God. Surrender your life to Jesus. Embrace the Holy Spirit and begin to do the will of God. Then you are qualified to be a true and not a vain worshipper of the Most High God as a result of that, you can offer a sweet smelling aroma before His throne with your worship. God will be glorified and blessings will come upon you.

1. I receive power to worship and reverence God, in the name of Jesus.

2. Undiluted spirit of worship, possess me now, in the name of Jesus.

3. As I worship and praise God, let His glory descend upon me and all mine, in the name of Jesus.

𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍𝐈𝐍𝐆

4. Spirit of unending gratitude, come upon me now, in the name of Jesus.

5. As from today, I refuse to struggle in the place of worship, I worship in spirit and in truth, in the name of Jesus.

6. I join the twenty-four elders in casting down crowns and bowing heads before the throne of grace, in the name of Jesus.

7. Power to enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise, possess my life, in the name of JesusJesus.
