MFM Daily Devotional Message Monday 14th July 2025

Your hands are the symbol of your labour. If God is ever going to make you victorious in this dark world, it will be through your hands. Notice the reality that played in our fire scripture: Moses asked Joshua to choose men who will go out to fight against the Amalekites. Moses told Joshua that he would go up with the rod of God in his hands. In verse 11 of today’s scripture, “…When Moses held up his hand, that Israel prevailed: and when he let down his hand, Amalek prevailed.”

Do you see the significance of your hand? The following verses tell us that when Moses’ hands got heavy and tired, they had to look out for stones to help him sit, and one of the faithful soldiers helped him raise both hands until the sun went down. There must be something mysterious about the hands of Moses. Yes, his hand was plugged into God’s socket of power. It was indeed a blessed hand, and that is why it was also a blessing to the Israelites in return.

It is your hand that God will use to transform your life and the lives of those around you. It is your hand that determines the quality of your economic life. When your hands are sanctified, your labour will bear fruits. On the other hand, however, when your hands are infected, your labour also gets defected. A man can spend years in labour without any tangible results if his hands are infected. He may have all the skills required to be very diligent and more qualified than others, but if his hands are contaminated, the rewards of labour will die in perpetual darkness. Are your hands sanctified?

How do we get our hands sanctified? In our memory verse, we are admonished by the apostle to present our body, including our hands, as a living sacrifice unto God. 1 Timothy 2:8 also tells us that He wants the men in every place to pray, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and dissensions. We are also told in Psalm 134:2: “Lift up your hands to the sanctuary and bless the Lord.” Beloved, surrender your entire body, including your hands, to the Lord. He will take it and use it for His glory and to benefit your life as well.

Jesus Christ is our Commander in chief. The Bible calls Him the Author and the Finisher of our faith. During His earthly ministry, He demonstrated the raw power of God. He won total victory over the devil. Jesus reminded those who listened to Him that the instrument of casting out devil is the finger of God. When the finger of God is fully stretched, demons will be cast out, bondage will break, yokes will scatter and the captives of the might shall be delivered. If stubborn powers have kept you in bondage for a long time, you must pray that the finger of God comes into fearful operation; and you will be set free instantaneously, in the name of Jesus.

No matter how deep your bondage is, when the finger of God comes into manifestation in your life, the satanic attacks that you have suffered from for a very long time, will become things of the past. The finger of God will cancel the hand-writing of the devil. The finger of God will frustrate the token of liars and make diviners mad.

When the battle becomes tough, the finger of God is the weapon to use. The finger of God comes with the totality of His power. It is loaded with the fury and wrath of the Almighty against every power that has vowed that your deliverance will not be complete.

The finger of God will close every case that is opened against you in the court of the enemy. The finger of God will give you uncommon deliverance and dumb-founding miracles. Take the weapon of God's finger today, and the Almighty will respond in a magnifying manner.

Remember, only those who have surrendered their lives to Jesus as their Lord and saviour are qualified to use this awesome fearful weapon.

Ensure also that you do not indulge in any kind of sin. Your victory is settled.

One of the most violent weapons which God has given to us for decisive victory and total deliverance is the weapon of the finger of God. The finger of God reveals God as the Man of war. Whenever God comes into the scene of the battle, He appears with His finger as a weapon of dealing decisively with the enemy. When God’s finger becomes visible at the place of battle, the enemy will be defeated woefully. If you know how to make use of this uncommon weapon, the enemy will submit himself to God and bow before you. He will be forced to declare: “This is the finger of God.” like the magician of Egypt did.

The finger of God is needed when you are confronted by problems that are related to foundational bondage. To destroy any form of evil foundation, you need to use the weapon of the finger of God. It is needed to inflict fatal wounds upon the head of your enemy. Beloved, the powers of your father’s house will be defeated with the finger of God.

When the finger of God confronts the evil cobwebs in your life, they will be roasted and converted to ashes. The finger of God was recognized as a formidable weapon in the court of Pharaoh. You need this weapon in order to obtain victory in today’s Pharaoh’s court. The finger of God is a weapon that will remove every handwriting of darkness keeping you in bondage.

Jesus made it categorically clear that to cast out devils, the finger of God is an unbeatable weapon. Every habitation of darkness in your life would be exposed when the finger of God sets your life on fire. The enemy cannot joke with the finger of God. It is a fearful weapon and the finger of fire! It is the instrument that will set you free from any form of bondage. The finger of God will make every hidden stranger to be frightened out of their hiding places.

You can imagine the awesome power of God who is able to use just one finger to disgrace and destroy your enemy.

MFM Daily Devotional Message Friday 11th July 2025.

God is never late. He is in charge of time and seasons and does His things in His own way. Take time to reflect on His undeserving mercy; The Lord has been merciful towards you, to your family and to the church as a whole. It is very essential that you spend quality time meditating on God's assurance in the entire chapter 8 of the book of Romans. God timing is different from ours. He never comes too early nor runs late.

Do you know how many dangers your Father diverted from your path this month? Our situation in God is like a father taking his cup of hot tea in the morning and his toddler daughter wanting him to give her out of it. The father carefully takes a teaspoon, blows it before giving the toddler, who gets angry and throws tantrum because she would rather drink from the cup like her father. But the father knows that putting that cup in her mouth would result in terrible burns! God operates with times and seasons in mind. He knowns when to make things happen.

So what have you been looking up to God for that has not materialised? Is it a child? God is still fearfully and wonderfully making that wonderful child. Isaac, Joseph, Samuel, John the Baptist, all came late, but they made impact in their time. Are you hoping to meet your life partner? God will connect you to your own spouse as He did for Rebecca. Rebecca just got to the well one day and there was Abraham's servant waiting for her with the mandate to bring her to Isaac. Is it a business breakthrough or a Job? God is tidying up a job for you! The Bible clearly states that He never forget his own children. (Rom. 8:32)

Beloved, if God did not spare His son but gave him up for us all then what else will He withhold from you. God knows the right time for your joy and will never deprive you of it. Continue in faith and prayer and it will surprise you what the Lord can do. Wait patiently upon the Lord, Surely your joy is around the corner (Psalm 30:5)

MFM Daily Devotional Message Thursday 10th July 2025.

The Bible admonishes us not to grow weary while doing good, for in due season, we shall reap if we do not lose heart. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all, especially to those who are of the household of faith. And Hebrews 13:16 says that we should not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifice, God is well pleased.

Sometimes in life, bad things happen to good people, but the ultimate truth is that all things work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to His purpose. This was the experience of this woman called Dorcas in the text for our devotion today. She was reputed to be a disciple but not just an ordinary disciple; she was full of good works and charitable deeds but later became very sick and ultimately died. The amazing thing about her death was that when Peter the Apostle was invited to pray for her, women around started bringing out the clothes that Dorcas gave to them during her lifetime, and this must have moved Peter to pray for her, and she was later brought to life.

The truth remains that all of us will definitely leave this world one day, but the truth is, what good works will be identified with our existence by the time we are long gone? What legacy or impact are we going to leave behind for the generations that will come after us?

The same God who responded to the good works of Dorcas right here on earth is the same way He said He will respond to anyone who considers the poor and helps them. He said He will preserve and keep such people alive. Doing good to the poor actually prolongs our days on earth. The Bible says we should let our light so shine before men that they may see our good works and praise our Heavenly Father. One of the ways we show that we are light bearers and bring glory to God is by doing good to our fellow men. Acts 10:38 says, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power, and He went about doing good.” Brother, Sister, invest in doing good to others. It speaks volumes about the quality of life that you lived.

Beloved, let us take one more look at the disciples of the Lord Jesus, to determine which one you would rather be. Are you, like the Peter that Jesus met at the beginning of His earthly ministry, who readily gave up his means of livelihood for the use of the Master? He never regretted it because the return on his investment was beyond his wildest imagination.

No matter what mistakes you made in time of ignorance, why not surrender yourself so that the Lord can intercede for you and make you like the post-resurrection Peter? The Holy Spirit is waiting patiently to empower you so that you can do what your Lord did and more. When you give all for Jesus, He makes you to have more than enough.

Are you like the Apostle Paul who, although was once an enemy, became a committed vessel of honour?

No matter how the past has been, heaven will rejoice at your repentance. You can be a thorn in the flesh to the occultists in your family and to the herbalists in your neighbourhood. They may gang up and put themselves on hunger strike because of the fire of God in your life that is making them lose customers. Yet, you remain focused and committed to Christ.

Would you rather be like John, the apostle that Jesus loved? This means you will always be in the Lord’s inner circle. Are you ready to follow the Lord in persecution and even unto death? Beloved, pause and reflect on your life and Jesus’ promises concerning eternity. Prepare to meet the God and receive, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant.” Our Lord says all the enjoyment of this world is nothing compared with what He has in store for the faithful. Therefore, do not set your eyes on earthly things, but as a true disciple of Christ, set your affection on the things above (Colossians 3:1-2). Keep eternity more and the Lord will make you to gain eternity at last.

Someone once said, a vigorous self-examination is the greatest form of maturity. We continue with our self-examination as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ. Are you a disciple like James and John (whom Jesus named sons of thunder) perhaps because of their uncontrollable anger and readiness to punish for the slightest offense? Are you one of those who want to reign with Jesus but do not want to pay the price? Our Lord assured James and John that they would drink of the same cup with Him (persecution), but they are not guaranteed the choicest position in heaven because only God determines that.

Are you a Judas? One who has been a Christian for so long but has nothing to show for it? Someone who calls bribery and stealing by a fashionable name—family support? Someone who unrepentantly compromises his faith for money, position, and power? Or a Christian who spearheads the persecution of uncompromising Christians at work and is always asking, “Are you the only Christian?” Our Lord knew that Judas would betray Him, but because He is love personified, He tolerated him throughout His earthly ministry.

Are you like the two disciples on the road to Emmaus, who, despite being Christians, are very ignorant about the promises of God? Such people love Jesus, but their lack of knowledge robs them of the power that the Holy Spirit is ready to bestow on those who covet Him. By the time the Lord Himself opened their eyes to the Word of God, the two disciples did not want to leave the presence of the Lord. Beloved, you need to do a thorough self-examination to ascertain what kind of disciple you truly are.

Are you like the rich young ruler? Those who would like to be disciples but are procrastinating because they still want to enjoy worldly parties, dressing, and ways of life? How much of your money and time are you ready to give up for Him? Jesus is waiting at the door of your heart and knocking. Open and let the Resurrection and the Life come in to reign.

True and genuine disciples are ready to lay down everything at the feet of Jesus, including their lives.

What kind of follower are you to the Lord Jesus Christ? Our Fire Scripture today tells how Nicodemus visited the Lord Jesus at night because he did not want the Jewish leaders to know that he believed in Him. This provides the background to one question we should regularly ask ourselves to ensure that we are on course: what is the temperature of our love for Him? Hot, tepid, or cold? The Bible implores us to always examine ourselves if we are standing right in our faith as Christians.

Are you a disciple like Peter: a potential powerhouse, but easily manipulated by the devil because of prayerlessness? Do you shake like a leaf at the mere sight of a herbalist or are you afraid to say no to contributions for local festivals or other sacrifices to family idols? This is denying your Lord and Saviour, as Peter did before the housemaid at the High Priest’s residence. Nevertheless, the Lord saw Peter’s weaknesses as well as his potential and interceded for him, and the enemy lost out in the battle for his soul.

Are you a disciple like Thomas: close to the Lord but full of fear and doubt? When Jesus was going to Bethany to raise Lazarus from death, Thomas was so afraid of the threats of the opposition. He believed that Jesus’ going towards Jerusalem at that particular time would lead to the death of all of them (John 11:16). Do you still doubt the efficacy of the healing power in the blood of Jesus or the resurrection power that is beyond human comprehension?

Do you have a ‘plan B’ in your spirituality—allowing your parents to consult the oracle on your behalf? Why not settle down, wrestle with God, and adjust your lifestyle as Jacob did? Remember that Thomas finally acknowledged the Lordship of Jesus beyond any iota of doubt. You must be sure if truly you are ready to live your life out for the Master. That is a true disciple.

Our Lord is unequivocal in His condemnation of jelly-kneed disciples—they are not worthy. I pray for you that you will run the race to win and not fail, in the name of Jesus.

Today’s Fire Scripture reminds you of the people of faith: Abraham, Noah, Abel, and Joseph. These are the cloud of witnesses to the truth of the faith you profess. Hence, you are admonished to lay aside every weight that could hinder you as you run the race of life. Life is a journey and also a race. For Christians, it is a peculiar one. You are not running like those with no hope in sight, neither are you ignorant of the goal.

You are advised on how to travel on this journey and run the race with patience, enduring the hardships and discomforts. There are ‘weights’ to be laid aside, cast away, and taken off if you are to endure this journey. You need to reach forth and hold unto Jesus, the Finisher of our faith. Endurance, patience, and longsuffering are godly virtues (Galatians 5:22-23). A winner must possess these to run their race. Your focus should be on Jesus! The reason you must keep your gaze on Jesus is simply because He is our High Priest who has gone through the same road and knows where the bottlenecks are and endured the Cross with all its agonies. He is our Perfect example (Hebrews 4).

The race of life must be run with focus, determination, and, above all, dependence on the grace of God. While some believers are too full of themselves, believing that they know Jesus very well, the young believers soon overtook and bypassed them in the journey of life. I pray for you that you will not take a nap while you are on the journey of life, in Jesus’ name. However, the journey is not for those who cannot endure or those who are overfamiliar with God. Your face must be set as a flint.

Are you ready to endure, beloved? Keep your eyes and mind off any distractions that can easily clog your wheel of spiritual progress, and keep on moving. Be consistent, steadfast, and focused. With Jesus as your hope and strength, you will overcome the obstacles on your way and win the race of life.

Apostle Paul is a perfect example of a Christian who had an unbroken focus and was devoted to achieving great progress daily in his divine assignment. He refused to rest on his oars. Rounding it off, he asserted, “I press toward the mark.” He responds to a still higher calling, an unending pilgrimage of faith and service. Every believer should realize that there is a race to run or, better still, that he is in a race.

In every athletic competition, there is a starting line as well as a finish line. The athlete stays on the track looking towards the finish line. The set target of every such race determines the winner—the champion! In every race, there is a prize, a medal, or a plaque, which is a symbol of having run the race and won. Losers have no right to such prizes. Apostle Paul compares every Christian to an athlete running with a view of winning the prize. Our prize is that of “the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.” This is the ultimate—the finish line! However, as a child of God, you must realize that the race is not done by power or by might, but by the help of the Lord. The ultimate goal is not to outrun others, but to finish well and strong. Many started the Christian race but did not finish it. I pray that this will not be your portion, in Jesus’ name. Be determined and remain focused. Run with the hope of winning the race and not with uncertainty (1 Corinthians 9:26). The Holy Spirit is the umpire. The Lord Jesus Christ waits at the finish line with His arms wide open to take us into the kingdom of His Father.

Succinctly put, it is very important and necessary that you heed these signposts:

First, know that you are running the race alone.

Second, you have to forget the past achievements and face this race.

Third, you cannot win this race by your strength; you need the Holy Spirit every moment of the way (Ecclesiastes 9:11).

Finally, the race involves a great deal of perseverance to the end.

Quitters do not win, and winners do not quit.

Beloved, I pray for you that you will finish well, in Jesus’ name.

Kingdom service will make a man to be committed to the Almighty God. Our quest should be more about how to go about the service than the service itself. Having laid the foundation of having God as the only motive behind your service, we shall now see how to ensure that we serve aright in our kingdom service. First, the scripture emphasizes on doing God’s work with the right heart. This is the foundation upon which other structures of the kingdom service is built. Yesterday, we discovered that the Lord is eager to produce enviable results in the lives of those whose hearts are properly sanctified with a pure conscience as they serve Him. Our fire scripture above also tells us that ”…whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.” (Colossians 3:17).

It is not just a God-consciousness and a pure conscience that make right service. There is also this inner glow of joy which is a fundamental criterion of a heavenly acceptable service. Deuteronomy 28 talks about the curses of the Lord over His people, and in verse 47 of that same chapter we see that the reason for those curses on His people is “Because thou servedst not the LORD thy God with joyfulness and with gladness of heart…” So being joyful in kingdom service is significant. You must never murmur as it is said, “Do all things without murmurings and disputings” (Philippians 2:14). The reason for this is “so that ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world” (Philippians 2:15).

Another criterion for a kingdom-acceptable service is the spirit of meekness. The word “meek,” according to the dictionary, means to be humble, modest, and submissive. Matthew 5:5 says, “Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.” Moses was the meekest man above all men upon the face of the earth. In other words, Moses was able to carry out God’s divine assignment, which was the deliverance of the children of Israel from slavery, because of his humbleness. “Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time.” (1 Peter 5:6).

In kingdom service, what you do must be from the heart. Why? The Bible says, “For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to show himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him” (2 Chronicles 16:9). Your brain is not as important as the heart in the service of the kingdom, neither are your activities as important as the motives behind your activities. The reason for this is that there is a reward for service and your service must meet heaven’s standard. Colossians 3:24 affirms, “Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.”

When you serve the Lord with the right heart, He is sure to fulfill His word in your life. When God becomes the driving motive for your kingdom service, then every weight and hindrance such as pride, holier-than-thou attitude, church politics, or rebellion in kingdom service will not be mentioned among believers.

God-consciousness must be your motive in kingdom service. What do we mean by a God-consciousness? It means you are love-driven for the service of God. Notice Jesus, when He was found in the temple, He replied to His parents, “How is it that ye sought me? Wist ye not that I must be about my father’s business?” (Luke 2:49). Jesus, our exemplary figure, was in no doubt a kingdom builder. Coming out of a particular city with His disciples, they gave Him meat and asked Him to eat but our Lord replied, “I have meat to eat that ye know not of.” The disciples became confused, asking one another if anyone had brought Him something to eat. However, Jesus further answered them, “My meat is to do the will of him that sent me, and to finish his work” (John 4:31-34). Do your work heartily as to the Lord?

Another important factor in kingdom service is the motive with which you do the work of God. Your motive must align with the word of God and must promote love in the kingdom. Beloved, do every work in the kingdom as unto the Lord!

What is in a name? This is a very popular question. But there is so much that you can ever know. Your name is a physical and spiritual tag. It marks your identity. It tells who you are. That is why a dog behaves like a dog and not a cat.

Children all over the world are named with a purpose. It could be as a result of their birth, prevailing situation or any other reason as the parents deem fit. Some are even named after a person, place or thing, depending on their parents’ emotions and feelings. Remember, Rachel first named Benjamin, Benoni; the wife of Phineas named her son Ichabod – the glory has departed from Israel.

Would you not agree that your name has much to do with your destiny! Same is the case of Jabez. His honourable situation could not manifest; he faced spiritual limitations. Although the Bible gave no further reasons but Jabez was not comfortable with his situation; he needed and sought a change! He provoked divine change with his four-in-one prayer point (verse 10). Amazingly, God granted his request.

What is your name? Are you in the same situation as Jabez? You sure need to cry to God, and let every negative cloud covering your personality evaporate, in Jesus’ name. Your name can attract evil or good to you; it can bring you honour or dishonour. In case your name has been the cause of unpleasant experiences in your life, you should pray to God for a new name. Jesus saw his failure and impetuous nature in Simon and also saw the potential to become a leader in the church in him. Hence, he renamed him Cephas, the Aramaic for Peter – a rock (Matthew 16:18). Jacob experienced a change when he became Israel, Saul was renamed Paul. Get ready to experience the same God who is set to call you by a new and glorious name and your life will not remain the same, in the name of Jesus.
